| Legault's blow connects with Shino in midair, sending him to the ground, and knocking the wind out of him for a moment. As he gets back to his feet, Shino smirks at Legault... Shino: "Heh...Predictable sword attacks. Just like you, Leg Fault..." "Flame On!" Still richocheting, Katoko ignites his body, letting loose with a haunting howl as the flames engulf his body. The next thing the crowd knows, Katoko is a now living fireball rocketing at Legault... ---------------------------------------------- Jarukoth: "Ran out of nicknames, haven't you?" | Shino: "When my opponent leaves himself open to attack and raises his weapon? I think not, Leg Halt!" "Katoko! Mobilze yourself!" Through a burst of fire as he flies back to his master, Katoko transforms its body into an oversized chakram, which Shino eagerly catches. Shino: "Ladies and gentlemen, our special tonight is Legault Flambe' a la Shino, prepared Well Done. Enjoy!" Shino hurls the giant chakram at the most exposed parts of Legault's body. The chakram suddenly ignites in midflight, as if to make itself more imposing to it's intended target... ---------------------------------- Jarukoth: "Not bad, Shino. I wonder though...how long can you keep this up?" Shino: *via ComLink* "What do you mean? I'll keep fighting until time is called!" Jarukoth: "I was talking about the nicknames. | UTSUSEMI-ICHE Legault moves his left hand really fast around him and then brings it in front of his face with all but his pinkey pointed straight up. Three shadows appear in the path between the fire chakram and Legault. The chakram hits one of the shadows and the shadow takes the entire attack leaving only a little heat to reach Legault. "I am a Ninja remember. I have Ninjutsu!" With two shadows around Legault ready to take an attack, Legault raises the blade of awe all the way into the air. At that moment the blade of awe became two. DUAL KATANAS Legault raises his left hand up into the air and it grabs the second sword. The one in his righ hand becomes a fire katana and the one in his left hand becomes an ice katana. Legault puts his arms above his head with the katanas going down his back almost. With lightning speed Legault charges Shino and slashes with the ice Katana, if works it will freeze opponent also does a little ice damage, and then strikes with the fire katana, if works will thaw opponent and do a lot of damage since the person is frozen and then melted. In a matter of seconds Legault is back to were he was standing before and his sword has returned back to normal as the blade of awe. "I still have two more shadows so you better do something worth countering." |

| Before Shino knows what hits him, his arms and legs are frozen in place by the chilling energy of the blade. In a brief panic, he looks up to see the second fire katana coming down at him. He braces for the worst, when the blow is interrupted by a loud CLANG, followed by yelp of pain. Legault's blow was blocked by the returning flaming chakram, which transforms back into Katoko before succumbing to the lethal blow and fading away. Shino spots the clock again. They were in the home stretch of the match. Legault had a pair of shadows that Shino had to contend with, and he was currently frozen in place. No doubt about it. It was time to use the Trump Card. Shino: "Well, I must say, this has been a rather entertaining fight. But, I'm afraid we'll have to wrap things up pretty soon..." Suddenly, Shino's body grows very dark, to the point where no light can be seen reflected off or through his body. A slight bit of jet black smoke can be eminating from his body, and those in the crowd sensitive to energy output can feel a dramatic rise in Shino's energy... Shino: "For the first time ever...Shino...in Shadow Form..." Shino smoothly slips his way out of the ice as if he was incorporeal, and stands to face Legault, drawing a pair of daggers, dripping with some green, unknown substance... "Midnight's Bane!" Shino dashes at Leagult, creating several shadowy after images of himself as he rushes to attack his opponent. Very few, if any, of the crowd could tell which one was real, and Shino would bet that Legault would have a tough time as well... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jarukoth: "So...you finally learned how to activate your limiter removal...I'm impressed..." | Shino is about to start his next move, when he hears Shadow end the match... Shino: "Bah...not enough time to really show my new skills...Oh well." He walks out of the arena to meet Jarukoth and Ada in thier seats, waving away at Legault as he departs. Shino: "You were better than I expected, Legault. See you later..." Exiting the arena, he couldn't help but wonder what commentary Jarukoth and Ada would have for him upon his return... ------------------------------------- The skybox door creaks open, one of it's occupants finally returning after a reletively long abscence... Jarukoth: "Honey! How are you feeling?" Ada: "I feel...great." Something was different about her. She had an unusual expression of mirth on her face. It was nice, sure, but a bit confusing. Jarukoth: "...The medics gave you morphine again, didn't they?" Ada laughs a bit, rubbing her abdomen lightly... Ada: "No...It's not like that at all..." Jarukoth: "Well...then what was wrong then?" Ada: "Nothing was wrong at all." *chuckle* Jarukoth stands up, confused... Jarukoth: "Okay, I give up. What happened?" Ada: "Well, I guess you can say you did..." "J...I'm pregnant!" Jarukoth:    Jarukoth's legs give out, and he passes out on the ground, unconscious; just as Shino walks in, fully transformed out of his Shadow Form... Shino: "...Why do I get the feeling that the faint wasn't because of the excitement of my match?" |

| One of Legault's shadows intercepted the final attack and then the other one vanished as the round was over. The armor known as the Shinobi Shozoku returned to its original form as mear ninja style robes. "That was fun Shino we will have to do it again some time." Without even waiting for Shino to leave Legault teleports to the Simbattle commons area to see the judgings of the other fights and his own. |

| DAMN!!! You guys rock! Both of you! You both fought very skillfully, but I'd have to say Jarukoth wins this match by 3 miles. Legault, though you were skilled in battle, you didn't put enough of the Creative Spin on it like J did, adding a mini-plot to the frey... J, ohmyGod, the plot twist is AWESOME!! I hope this plays a vital part in the Story Forum RP you're hosting... You get my vote for sheer creativity, and I highly look forward to what happens with J and Ada next. Rock on, guys! Now, for something that has NOTHING to do with the battle... It's been a while since Jarukoth and I had a battle, and J, if you're up for it I'd gladly take you on sometime soon. Whaddya say, pal? |

| I'm going to have to call this out again Jarukoth. I can't award you points for things that didn't involve the battle at all. Although a little better this time, I can't award you for creativity about the plot twist. I can't override Schwa's judging to effect it either, and thats why we have three judges. I really have to say Legault won. This was the only one I didn't want to judge on unless I had to because of TEDDYLOT (THANKS FOR MAKING ME JUDGE AGAIN!). It was a very good battle and I did enjoy reading it, and its nothing personal, I really knew what to expect from this fight before it was finished as I read parts of it as they were being done. Really a good battle though, I'd rather see Legault develope his character's personality a little bit though and Jarukoth to try to have more focus on the battle itself sometimes. Seriously, don't take it personally Jarukoth, your plot twists are indeed awesome when looked at from a creative point of view and for none tournament battles, this is truely awesome. Yeah, Schwa, I need to catch you on something. Don't judge based on story/plot as a high prioity. Some character's haven't been developed and others just want to fight for fun. Such as Grey vs Sion, Sion's character isn't there to be filled with story, its their to battle and have fun with it, Grey's character's will always have story because he tries to develope them. Story isn't all that hard if you have time to sit and think of something, its fine if you base a good portion on creativity, but please, please, don't have a huge portion based on story. |

| OOC: I wasn't aware that I had focused more on the side story as opposed to the fight in progress to make that much of a difference. Or, did you mean Schwa's ruling? Plus, it was my understanding at the time that the "extra post" included at the end was intended for storyline purposes, since the end of the fight was already announced, thus making the final post not part of the fight decision. Additionally, I would like to think that Schwa based his decision over Shino's fighting creativity, and not on the storyline. I agree that winning through / including the postfight storyline wouldn't be fair, since, obviously, it has little to do with the fight itself. Again, the story is just to round out my characters, possibly set up another Story Forum thread ( ), and was never intended to be judged as a part of the fight.Just thought I would offer an explanation before Teddylot gave his ruling. Got anymore names for Legault?  Well, for fighting skills, I would say... ummm... Legault wins. Both of you did very well, but in this one, I say Legault. Both of you were detailed. Both of you were great with the attacks and attention to detail, but Legault took some extra risks. Attacking a summon, charging an attack. Some risks go a long way and can be deadly. So... ok, first one down, others to go judge... |
