My friend(guy) came over today, we played GTA : San Andreas for a while, then ordered Dominoes... It was fun. Then, he left... Jimmy came over a little while later... We decided to watch Office Space, then he made me some chicken and salad. Well, I was laying my head on his lap, since I needed to elevate my leg... Well, he started giving me a neck rub... It felt really good. Well, we kinda started cuddling. Then, kissing..... Well, I told him that I would be willing to give him a chance... But, I still have really strong feelings for *ex g/f*... Gawd... I don't know what to do! I really like Jimmy, but I still am hanging onto my ex girl... I don't want to hurt Jimmy... What should I do?

Is this the ex who left cos you can't drive her around? Forget her would seem to be the obvious answer. Or you could try and make the girl really jealous...? Does that ever actually work in real life? [/unhelpful]

I propose you take a break from the whole relationship thing for a while. More trouble than it's worth, in large part.

I have a tale to tell too, but it's kinda stupid as it is...

As for right now, I'm enjoying picturing myself as a lone silhouette atop a tall sand dune in the setting sun.

Xeo, or Zeo now... Honestly, you don't want to be looking for a girl, eventually one will come and it will almost be like a complete freak accident. That's exactly what happened in my case.

The girl I'm dating now I knew almost all of high school. Never really talked to her much, nor did she ever talk to me, we kinda actually ignored eachother in high school. Then last semester of our senior year, we get seated next to eachother in a class, and we are pretty much force to talk to eachother. I remember her saying something like "Oh, I have to sit by that kid". But then I end up asking her to prom. Going out to dinner. Asking her out. And right now, I'm in one of the best relationships I've ever been in. Honestly, it probably won't work out, not on my end cause she'd have to do something horrible for me not to love her anymore, but I can always hope.

And for anyone wanting a successful relationship, so far just being myself and having fun has gotten me pretty far in the relationship, and right now it doesn't seem to be crumbling any.

Here's a little something that helped me get over my ex and pretty quickly I might add you was some advice from my best friend. She told me to say outloud that I didn't need [insert name here of ex] anymore and keep saying that until you feel like you're over her and don't need her anymore. Seeing as I had strong feelings towards my ex like you but it never will work out i.e. the break up. Also I would wait awhile before going out with Jimmy but it's ok just to hang out with him in a friendship case, no cuddling involved. ANd don't try getting back together with your ex seeing as she was just basically using you as a taxi driver per say.

Of course... Jimmy hate's me now... I told him I didn't want to date him right now, because my head was spinning with tons of thoughts... I just didn't want to have more ontop of everything... He told me to call him in a couple weeks... And, to add onto things... There is this absolutely incredible guy I met... He is super nice, super sweet, tons of fun... Really really interesting guy... But, he lives about 500 miles away from me, so I can't actually have a real relationship with him, even if I was ready... most guys don't like distance relationships... Well.... I hope something works out for the best...

I think you really need to cool it with the crushes and how you feel about your ex. The chances of getting back together with her are so slim, she doesn't genuinly care for you. Just let it go.
With Jimmy, don't get upset with him. He's giving you space, which is exactly what you need right now. When you feel you're ready for a relationship, just call him. But you're not right now, if you're questioning everything like this.
Now there's another guy? You need to try and avoid things like this. Long distance relationships are hard, much harder than being in person, you think you're ready for something like that right now? And are you willing to throw away your chances with Jimmy for it?

Bunnie stop with all the crushes and wanting a relationship right now. I so agree with Danielle and trust me about this: DO NOT HAVE A LONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP EVER!!!!!

They're not worth it for the most part and sometimes they never last. My last relationship was an LDR and it totally crushed my heart seeing as I really did love the guy but in the end I drove him away. Not to mention I was naive thinking it would work out but now that I see clearly that it was never meant to be.

Darn it, you can't just give up like that! Come on, the only way to keep a relationship going is with your own ambitions. If you want it, take it. Plus, it's not like he's a whole country away, the distance is extremely coverable.

You are forgiven for thinking the Whitlams did it, cause their cover was good... at least I forgive you anyways (It was on an album where a lot of artists did covers of Burt Bacarach and uh.. Hal... something... songs -- called "To Hal and Bacharach")

Hmm... long distance relationships are a tricky thing. I've seen some that worked, and some that have failed, and I've had my own failed long distance relationship too. I think both parties need to be very strong willed and steadfast in things, and work to make sure it... works.

I'm not going to advise either way. The decision is up to you, and depends entirely on what you want. Which means you have to think long and hard about what it is you really truly want (nobody else can tell you that).... work out if the long distance thing is going to do that for you or not.... and then work out what needs to be done.

If this is what you want, do what you need to do to make it work, even if it means taking a chance. But only if it's what you want.

As for me and what I wrote before in this thread... I know what it is that I want... problem is I'm too wussy...

I don't know. That's what I've been telling myself for the last couple of years, and now I'll be a Senior. And I can honestly say I have no close female friends that I know of in person.

I know a few girls from other friends, but I can't even think of some of their names, and they're not people that would call me to hang out, or vice versa.

I'm just sick of waiting honestly ... the last couple of years have been so stressful for me, I could have used a nice best friend.

Oh well ... like I said, I'm hoping this year will be different, or at least College ...

That's the spirit but don't give up forever though just until you can get your prorities straightened out. I know what I want for a relationship but I'm with Taryn on that about being a wussy.

Zeo I have faith that this year will be your lucky year that you might meet someone.

the passive approach only works if you interact with girls...

college should definately help you meet girls--especially when you live in a dorm because of the icebreaker activities they have. it will be hard for you to meet people if you spend most of your time at home (like I do for college). As a result, take advantage of your opportunities. When do you talk to them, try to find common ground at first (like talking about classes and stuff). In time, you should be able to digress into other topics and such.
Just remember, be yourself and don't rush--the worse thing you can do is rush making something happen

College is definitely different than high school.... You have your cliques there, but not near as bad as high school... People are alot more open. And, I noticed in high school, my senior year, it's alot different... You are looked up to by the incoming kids and such... Just, a different feeling. I know what going through high school alone is like... I moved here from England, didn't have but 3 friends throughout high school... They were all guys, and I couldn't really talk to any of them about the.. "girly" stuff

But, I wish you the best of all lucks.

I finished high school a year ago, can count the women I know on one hand (3), the number of boyfriends between them (1 each, none are me), and the number of ladies I'm come into physical contact who are not related with me (0).

I live 23 miles from the nearest town, have no car, no social life, and no way to go to university. Meaning I'm stuck at home, all day, every day, with no way of meeting anyone.

..Wow, that sucks. Maybe you should try getting a job or something? It's a means of getting out of the house at least. Being stuck at home every day like that [icannot be fun. Maybe with the money, you can get yourself a car. Little steps and you'll get the ball rolling.
