| Kirby ATW looked at the portal, waiting for Rhino to come through. Soon enough, his figure emerged through the shimmering vortex, and the portal closed behind him, not before a figure slipped through. ATW smiled internally, and motioned for Rhino to follow him. ATW: The names Kirby ATW... I don't think I caught yours. No matter... wait... hang on a second. ATW whipped out the rainbow rod and created another portal behind Rhino, just before he was nearly tackled by an unknown figure. The figure was transported to a location across the galaxy. Kirby closed the portal before he had a chance to come back. ATW: Happens every time... ATW repocketed the rainbow rod ATW: NOBODY gets in here unauthorized... and I mean nobody. Now... what was I going to do... ah yes... mechanic. ATW led rhino down the shimmering halls of the Rainbow Palace. Several statues of various dreamlanders were adorned, and crystal chandeliers were hanging from the ceiling. Various people roamed the halls, all wearing the same thing; A sheath with a sword bearing a star shaped symbol on the hilt. Most of them gave ATW a nod or bow as he passed, but ATW just smiled. ATW: Yeah... I pretty much run things here. A few flights of stairs later, and the two were standing outside a room with the word 'Engineering' on it. Inside was a short green bird with a backwards baseball cap and a wrench in hand working on a high-tech warpstar. ATW coughed to get his attention ATW: Yo, PJ, got a favor to ask. PJ (AKA Pitch Jr) turned around and nodded PJ: Lay it on me ATW ATW pointed at Rhino ATW: This guy right here needs a mechanic... think youre up to the challenge? PJ: K-Man, I overclocked your wheelie scooter... this should be a walk in the park compared to that. ATW chuckled ATW: Im expecting him to give me high regards when youre done with him... he is here because he deserves it. PJ: Oh, really? Well then, Ill see to it that he gets some high quality care. ATW nodded and pulled a piece of paper off ot the wall. He handed it to rhino ATW: Heres a map of my palace. When Pitch is done with you, come up to the main lobby... oh... and... ATW took the left hand of Rhino and touched it with the Rainbow Rod. A star insignia appeared on it ATW: Show anyone who asks you this... this will make sure youre not mobbed by Star Warriors. Pitch... take good care of him now. ATW walked out of the room and closed the door. A short trip back upstairs, up a few more stairs, and into a room labeled 'Private' he sat down for a minute to think ATW: Well... I dont see any need to call the Warpstar Knights just yet... not unless this situation hits critical. ATW locked the door and began to nap, hoping nothing would go wrong for the time being. |

| ooc: I'm guessing that that dark figure was the 307? If it was he would have stayed back and watched from a distance but I guess you could have teleported him away just as easily. __________________ Rhino was only minorly damaged with a few bullet holes and some trapnel in the back of his legs. The problem was that while he was crashing through stands a surprisingly large amount of food got splattered on his armor and in the bullet holes. The greasy popcorn kernels were actually quiet damaging on a couple systems that were crucial to his ability to fight. After repairs and the cleanup were finished he set out to find...something. I was a fairly good map for a dreamlander but to Rhino it was just a picture. And he hadn't been told where he was supposed to go. So he started wandering around looking for his lost friend. Asking direction from those who weren't running away from this robotic mammoth. Hopefully there were no city officials who would start trouble... |

| During this time... A really small black sphere with a single yellow eye stared at the Rainbow Palace from outisde... and then, retreated... ... During this time, at the Hyper Zone castle... ... Servant: "This wine was made of the screams of despair of a father that seen all of his 5 sons executed in cold blood in front of him, one by one, in exotic and painful ways! Then, we mixed the despair to the sorrow of the mother. Next, we mixed this sorrow to her vain attempt to join her children in death trought suicide. Of course, we adjusted the taste of that last ingredient by "accidentaly" causing her death to be slower than it should have been... like, it took 127 times longer than it should have. Then, we transformed all that into liquid and mixed it to perfection for you, my Queen!" 02 took a glass of the crimson liquid. She stared at it for a while... 02: "I'm not fond of alcohol. You're sure this wine doesn't contain any, are you?" Servant: "Add my head to the wine if it contains a drop of it." 02 smiled and then tasted the wine. 02: "Heh! A bit bitter... but good. No alcohol, too! Guess you get to live another day... anyway! I don't feel like taking the time to taste this cheap wine for today is a special day!" 02 stood on the edge of her throne and yelled: 02: "DARK REAPER!!! COME HERE, THIS INSTANT!!!" The doors were slammed open as Dark Reaper entered the throne room. Dark Reaper: "Phew! Made it... sorry for being late, my Excellency!" 02: "Bah! As long as you have what I want, I'll be happy. Do you have it?" Dark Reaper: "Yes! We located the Rainbow Palace!" 02: "Good. The guardians... they have always been a thorn in my side. However, unlike two millenias ago, they no longer have the Star Warriors to protect them!... and I also got better Generals than just that sore loser Nightmare!" Nightmare stared at his feet, ashamed. 02: "Anyway. Prepare the Hyper Zone. We're leaving Dark Star with two Dark Comets. The guardians will finally know to who this galaxy belongs!" 02 stood up, not taking the time to drink the bottle of wine. Servant: "But... my Queen? The wine..." 02: "You can have it. I always preferred the taste of raw destruction to those dishes anyway! Time to get some blood on those hands of mine! Hehehe! I can't wait..." Gooey stood in front of his mother! Gooey: "Stop! We do not need to spill the blood of innocents to conquer this galaxy!" 02: "You fail to understand. What good is it to conquer a galaxy if no "precious" lives are lost? Heh! Victory always tastes better when mixed with the blood and sorrow of the survivors and dead! Hahahaha!" Gooey: "You are insane! I won't let you do this!" 02: "Just buzz off." 02 shoved Gooey out of her way! 02: "One day, you shall become the King of Darkness and wield absolute power!... and power is the only justice! Good was a creation of the weak to justify their meaningless existance! Why should we, the strong, be stopped by a stupid invention of the weak?" 02 left the throne room. The Generals, them, headed toward the different parts of the castle, preparing everything for their departure. ... Slowly, out of Dark Star's burning atmosphere, 2 GIGANTIC spheres made entirely of Dark Matter as well as the Hyper Zone castle came out and headed toward the Rainbow Palace... | Kirby ATW sat up in a cold sweat. There had been a fluctuation in the balance of the universe. To only confirm his fears, an urgent knock on his door was heard. Voice: Sir, I do think we have a problem. Come quickly. ATW sighed and put his robe back on, checking for the Rainbow Rod. A few seconds later, he was on his way down the hall with a worker relaying information to him Worker: Kirby, this isnt looking up. ATW: What isnt looking up? Worker: I fear the Rainbow Palace has been found. ATW stopped for a moment ATW: Youre joking... theres no way... Worker: Believe it. Our Dark Star monitors have detected large movement headed straight for our sector. ATW put his hand to his forehead, and began to think ATW: Gather everyone and bring them to the breifing room... I have something I need to attend to. ATW took a step and rethough his plan ATW: And find a cybernetic man wandering the halls... I want him here for this. ATW began climbing stairs in the palace, passing people, urging them to the breifing room. A short time later, ATW was outside a room labeled 'forbidden'. A keypad, slot, and handprint scanner were on the outside. Kirby punched in a code, stuck the rainbow rod into the slot, and put his palm on the scanner. A series of beeps later, and Kirby was inside a dim, pulsing room, with a large machine in the middle, star tipped, of course. ATW: I should have done this before I took my nap. Kirby pressed a button on the side of the machine and it sprang to life. The roof began to slide open, and the vastness of space met his eyes. The star structure moved outside the palace, and began to glow a soft red. All across the galaxy, the blade of each star warrior began to glow, and the star on the hild glowed red. The universal calling signal was taking effect. The warpstar knights dusted off their armor and warpstars, and jetted back to the rainbow palace as fast as possible. Something terrible had happened, and each one was ready for the worst. Especially one, wearing his ancestors mask and blue cape. ATW left the calling room and put on his wheel cap, to save time. He dashed down the halls and side ramps of the stairs to get to the breifing room, where people were starting to arrive. A quick transformation back to his normal robe, and he walked in and took his place on the podium, ushering people in with a commanding voice, and filling himself with unknown worry. ATW: My only hope is that were ready this time |

| In the Hyper Zone... The throne room had changed a little bit in appearance since the Hyper Zone had left Dark Star. 02's throne had been replaced by a high-tech chair covered with tons of buttons. In front of it, dozens of monitors that permanently showed the evil Dark Matter queen how everything was progressing both in and out of the mobile castle. Dark Matter commander: "Sir! We're all ready! She shall arrive in 18 hours at most." 02: "Good... very good..." 02 relaxed... and then, she noticed that something was wrong with Dark MetaKnight. He was staring at his sword, Black Hole, for some reason... 02 looked around. No one to the left... no one to the right... 02 pressed a few buttons and the monitors shut down. She pressed another one and the doors locked themselves. 02 jumped out of her throne. While she seemed huge when sitting on her throne, it was just an illusion as her new body was, in fact, a bit smaller than Dark MetaKnight. She placed her right hand on the dark swordman shoulder. 02: "Something's wrong, my masked wonder?" Her voice... it was sweet and nice-sounding. It was so weird seeing 02 use such a voice... the only time she had ever used it in the past was when she was with her husband, the Dark King. However, the Dark King had died long ago, giving his life to protect Popstar and his "second son", the accursed Kirby. 02 never understood why her husband had treated Kirby as his son. Kirby was little more than an experiment. Sure, they had used 02's husband DNA... but Kirby remained little more than an experiment... and yet, he had treated the half-breed as if he was the equal to the actual prince, Gooey. Even today, she could never understand why her husband had chosen this half-breed over her... But that didn't mattered. Dark MetaKnight: "Black Hole... it is glowing..." 02: "So... he is close..." Dark MetaKnight: "MetaKnight's descendant." Dark MetaKnight took off his mask. Dark MetaKnight looked identical to the original MetaKnight exept that he was black... personality-wise, he was strange. He had the same code of honor as the original MetaKnight... but for some reason, he had sweared to serve 02, unlike that stupid Dark Kirby who had betrayed her almost instantly. Slowly, 02 moved down her hand and grabbed Dark MetaKnight's hand. Dark MetaKnight: "I will offer you Galaxia as a present my Queen..." 02: "You're cute without that mask..." Dark MetaKnight pushed 02 away. Dark MetaKnight: "I am not worthy. Furthermore... Nightmare could barge in any second. In fact..." Dark MetaKnight put his mask back on and 02 turned to the door... SLAAAAAM!!! Nightmare broke trought the door! Nightmare: "SIR! SIR! All preparations completed! We shall arrive in more or less 18 hours!... huh? Am I interrupting you?" 02: "If you wish to live, you will return to your post. I have monitors in my room for a reason, moron! Furthermore, this is the 1492th time you broke the door this week! That door cost a lot to repair! The cost of the door shall be taken off your pay! Now... get out of my line of sight... NOOOOOOW!!!!!!!" 02 screamed the last word so loudly the whole castle shaked! Nightmare: "Ye... ye... yes my Queen..." Nightmare left as 02 sat back on her throne. She sighed loudly, thinking she will have to sit on that stupid throne for 18 hours straight before finally seeing the guardians dead. Dark MetaKnight: "I'll go and make sure the preparations are indeed completed. Nightmare is not dependable. We cannot trust his word." 02: "Yes, do so. We have been humiliated once. Being humiliated twice would be rather... unnerving." Dark MetaKnight left the throne room. 02 sighed even more loudly. Now, she would have to sit on that stupid throne for 18 hours, all alone! | Rhino had been walking the halls for a few hours before some one finally came and found him. They led him straight to ATW as if they had the entire place memorized. As he approached he decided to listen rather than speek. He would need to have many questions answered before making an effecient analysis of what was going on, but that was for later. __________________ Meanwhile at the nearest outpost of the United Solar Military 307's were being brought in through the matter translations device. Basically a teleportation device using technology rather than magicka. The whole process was being over-seen be the networking computer 'Enigma' who would also be planning the attack on the unknown sector. The last contact brought them down to a small section of this solar system. If they could get a visual of Rhino then they could confirm and send in a massive army of 307's. The model 209 Spotter would be deployed in every sector. They were as a matter of fact all beyond repair. Ticking time-bombs that would pretend to be a wandering robot in need of repairs. Then inquiring about the given target, in this case Rhino, they would get close, make contact, and self detonate. It was all up to the good citizens of the town or city or planet to take in the 209 and lead it to Rhino. As any good citizen would do... |

| OFF: I'll assume you had been waiting for me to post... ____________________________________________________________________ Finally... after a while, the Dark Matter troops reached the Crystal Palace and this, way ahead of schedule... ... Inside of the Hyper Zone castle... ... Dark Matter commander: "My queen! The Crystal Palace is within visual range! Shall we bombard it?" 02: "No... it may contains artifacts and informations that will be important for the next phases of my plan. Initiate a direct collision course with the Crystal Palace. Kill everyone. Do not take prisonners. I repeat: do not take prisoners." Dark Matter commander: "Understood." 02: "Oh... and by the way. Once every enemy has been driven out, send out Dark Limbas to possess all the computers and machinery. I want the Crystal Palace to be reconverted into a mobile military base." Dark Matter commander: "Yes, my queen!" The transmission ended. Dark MetaKnight: "My Queen... may I take part in the fight, on the frontlines?" 02: "Why not? Direct the attack yourself from the front. Also... if you run into... him... I want you to check if he has Galaxia..." Dark MetaKnight: "I prmosed you I would give you Galaxia as a gift... I did not forgot my promise." 02: "I see... well then. You know the password. Pick one of our ships and head out there. I'll send the message to all troops." Dark MetaKnight soon left the throne room as 02 sent a message to all troops, telling them that once inside the Crystal Palace, Dark MetaKnight would be the one leading them... | Rhino: ATW, something isn't right. I can feel it. I think it's getting closer. It could be what attacked us at the fair ground. We should prepare ourselves for a fight. _____________________ Meanwhile the 209 Spotter was making it's way to where Rhino was. For some reason a system inside of it was activated. It didn't know what it was supposed to do when it reached Rhino but it would follow it's orders. He was perhaps 100 feet away from Rhino but had not made visual contact, and so could not be sure enough to send a signal back to Enigma. |

(OOC: Sorry guys, havent had enough time to post "The Next Installment"  )ATW nodded towards rhino ATW: Indeed... this attack feels different in some way. ATW shrugged ATW: Not like this hasnt happened before. ATW got onto the podium and began counting heads. Around 50 warriors wearing various pieces of armor were already in, and more were still filing into the room, lining up into neat little boxes of 9. ATW flipped his rainbow rod into a microphone and spoke into it. ATW: MK, Metaknight! Need you up here. A blue dreamlander wearing a mask with slits, and a blue cape hopped up on stage and bowed. MK: Yes sire. ATW: No need for formalities. Help me make sure everyone shows up, alright? MK: Right away. Metaknight began moving people into countable groups and taking names, all while ATW began pacing around, preparing an impromtu speech in his head. MK hopped back onto the stage and relayed information to ATW MK: We have 70% of the remaining Star Warriors here. ATW: Only 140 people... crud. MK: Any suggestions? ATW: We'll work with what weve got. This just doesnt help the situation. ATW turned around in though before remembering something else ATW: MK, be ready for Dark Metaknight. ATW indicated the glowing Galaxia ATW: In fact, I do feel its time for an upgrade ATW popped the mike back into the rainbow rod and tapped the galaxia. Instead of glowing a brilliant yellow, it now glowed a beautiful sky blue. ATW: Meet the Nebula, a combination of a fragment of the rainbow rod's power, and your elders sword. I expect you to take Dark MK down today. MK: I will sire. Thank you for the gift youve bestowed upon me. MK took a seat on the stage near the back while Kirby popped the rainbow rod back into a mike. One shout later, and the entire room was silent. A big internal breath, and Kirby began speaking. ATW: Warpstar Knights. You have been summoned here today, for I bear unfortunate news. 02 has located the Rainbow Palace. A few gasps went through the room ATW: Im not to say how as of now, but be warned, she is coming with a full batallion of troops this time. This will be nothing compared to the recently attacked Popstar. Metaknight stood up MK: Popstar has been attacked? ATW: Certainly. During the Interplanetary Festival as well. I was there, and this man right here helped me. ATW motioned towards Rhino ATW: Rhino is it? I heard from one of the men roaming the halls. Anyways, Popstar was attacked, for reasons unknown, but lets focus on the here and now. 02 is coming, and we need to prepare. ATW motioned towards a holographic image on stage ATW: I want our shooters manning the cannons. Those who cant fly, you are on sword duty. Those who can... your warpstars will be put in top notch condition by PJ. PJ jumped and raised a wrench in the back of the room ATW: PJ, have fun. PJ: Will do. After the sarcasm ceased, ATW put down the hologram. ATW: Any questions? One Warrior raised their hand Warrior: Will we make it? ATW: I honestly cant say... |

| Suddenly Rhino noticed something. A 209 Spotter was making its way through the knights to where he was standing. Turning to ATW and pointing to the 209. Rhino: That, is a Tra-vis 209. When the were first made they had no use. But now they are a key point in any stragtegic raid. As soon as it gets close to me it will self detonate and possibly kill every one in this room, including you and me. |

| ATW turned to Rhino and smiled. ATW: So you have your own group of people trying to killy ou. We have so much in common. The 209 approached ever closer ATW: Still, its not like its the MAJOR threat here. Hey, MK Metaknight stood up MK: Yes sire? ATW: You want to try out that new sword of yours? ATW points at the 209 and nodded MK: Very well... he did say it would explode. ATW: I have a hunch... Metaknight made one swift movement with the sword and sliced the 209 clean through, leaving a bomb intact. ATW motioned towards the Nebula ATW: Trap displacement. The Nebula wont set off any triggers, traps, or tricks unless you want it to. Now... about that bomb... we could use something like that in our war. ATW made a call into the crowd ATW: Spike! An owl with green safety glasses flew up on stage. Spike: Yea? ATW: See that bomb? Spike looked around and saw the bomb Spike: Sure do! ATW: Go make more of them... and encase them in cannon shells. Spike: Got it. TEAM! A few waddle dees marched into the room Spike: Move it out! The waddle dees encased the bomb in an explosive proof container and marched back out the door. ATW: Youve got about 6 hours Spike.... work fast! Spike flew out the door after the dees and the door closed. ATW: Thats spike... my personal manufacturer. He may look like a mad scientist, but he knows what has doing. ATW turned back to the podium to restore order. ATW: Im sure were going to see more of these 209s, right? |

| Rhino was still watching the bomb carried out but seemed completely prepared for the question... Rhino: No, there will be no more. There would have been had it not seen me, and it would have been a very lucky thing if there were more. Had it failed to spot me another would be sent. Had the second failed the third and final would have been sent. But now...it begins. Suddenly a green beam of light came streaming through the ceiling and disappeared through the floor directly in fron of where Rhino was standing. Rhino: Energy Cannons...?!?!...Energy Cannons!!! ATW does this place have a shield mechanism around it? It's going to need one. __________________ At the exact same moment Enigma was preparing the 307's, for their tele-drop after the Energy Cannons warning shot was done. The Energy Cannons could take out whole cities. There were several placed along the underbelly of the space station. Each shot would have pin point accuracy being about the width of a fifty cent piece. But every shot would penetrate any building killing anything that got in it's way and then burrow its way deep into the ground. The city would have been shredded if it weren't for the need to have Rhino's 'corpse' brought back for proof. Special Ops 307's were to be place in Swat Team like formation with five to a team. These were the best Fighter Bots in the Galaxy, and they could destroy anything that got in their way. There would be four teams place throughout the city and one that would search for Rhino. |

| In the Hyper Zone castle... Dark Matter commander: "My Queen! Everything's ready! The Rainbow Palace has detected us unfortunately. We won't be able to surprise them." 02: "Whatever. Their puny anti-ship cannons are no match for the incredible hull strenght of our liquid Dark Comet-class battleships. The Hyper Zone will cover you by firing plasma bolts at their defensive positions. Remember! I want the Rainbow Palace to be in the best condition possible! Destroy the defensive positions... but nothing else if possible! As for the beings inside, kill them, do not possess them! Most of them are probably either immune to Copy or do not have interesting abilities by themselves." Dark Matter commander: "Alright! We shall arrive in 6 hours then!" 02 smiled... and then, she shut down the monitor and turned to Dark Reaper. 02: "Dark Reaper... prepare the Dark Limbas." Dark Reaper: "Why? You said that we wouldn't possess the enemies... We shall posses only the machinery and computers and we'll do that after the offensive is over." 02: "You are right... but we have something else to possess other than the machinery." One of 02's monitors was activated. On it was the picture of a Tra-vis 209. 02: "Looks like a third force is at work... I want all possible information on this third force. If possible, possess their agents. Whoever they are, they use a somewhat advanced technology... nothing like ours, of course, but they could have a few gadgets worth adding to our ranks..." After all, Dark Limbas are rather weak physically and without a good number of Dark Troopers and possessed beings, you probably won't be able to overcome them if you run into a large fleet of whatever they use as ships." Dark Reaper: "Understood!" Dark Reaper left the room and 02 deactivated the monitor. 02: "Heh... I wonder what kind of beings could have figured out the location of the Rainbow Palace... probably powerful beings! These beings must be mine! They will join the forces of Darkness, may they like it or not!" |

| All over the city the Teams of Tra-vis 307 teleported in and began to cause mahem. They would shoot at anything that moved and fire anti-infantry rockets at random. They would each clear out a small 100 foot span of the city and then await something...else. A single team was sent into the building in which Rhino was in. This team would only fire if they spotted Rhino or a potential threat. Other than that the only damage this team would do is trample slow moving bi-standards as they moved rather swiftly down the hallways considering how bulky they are. And along the way they were throwing down small cameras that could be used to track movement, and send back images all throughout the castle. |

| Kirby ATW watches as green beams start raining down. One comes close to him, but he just holds out the rainbow rod and reflects it back out the hole it came from. A distant explosion is heard ATW: TROOPS! When chaos strikes, and planets fall... All: ...The warpstar knights are on the call... ATW: ...When things around start going astray... All: ...Warpstar knights make evil pay! ATW: Now... GET THEM OUTTA HERE! The knights scramble through the castle, taking various posts, and tearing apart machines. ATW turns to metaknight and rhino ATW: MK, tear apart as many machines as posible. The Nebula peirces through any known metal. If anyone is by themselves, group them with you until you have enough for a safe sized group. MK: Understood MK hops off the stage and runs out into the hall. ATW: Rhino, you need to come with me. ATW followed after Metaknight, but took a left turn instead. As ATW walked down the hall with Rhino behind him, he flips his rainbow rod into a sword and green cap. The sword seemed to hum, and gave off a greenish glow. Whenever he met something in the hall, he nonchalantly stabbed it and the sword drained the power from the machines. Soon enough, the two were at a room labeled "Shields". ATW ushered Rhino inside. After closing the door, Kirby pressed a few buttons on a blue console, and a large green shield went up around the palace, holding strong at 98%. ATW then took the rainbow rod and stabbed it into the ground, muttering a small incantation. The room became covered in constant changing "1s" and "0s" ATW: Binary shield. Nothing mechanical can get into this room, period. The other shield is preventing anything else from getting in. And since I'm in here, I can boost the shield if need be. Now we need to talk. {i]ATW sat down ATW: I need to know everything about these "Travis" things we're dealing with. Any weaknesses, any strengths, any flaws. Im sure theres a way I can take them all out, I just need to know what I'm dealing with. OOC: The Rainbow palace is out in space BTW... there is no city. |

| By the time the Warpstar knights destroyed the mechanical menaces, 02's troops had reached the Rainbow Palace... ... Dark Matter commander: "My Queen! The shield is up! They must have detected us or something... what shall we do?" 02: "Just watch." ... The Dark Comets stopped right in front of the Rainbow Palace and then, there was a bright light and the Hyper Zone fired a GIGANTIC beam at the Rainbow Palace! The beam was so powerful that there was no way the shield could have withstanded such sheer force. Looks like the battle officially begun... and right at the wrong moment as 02's offensive begun right after the destruction of the Travis foes, leaving them no time to recover from the last offensive by the Travis. |

| Rhino thought for a second. Rhino: Well, there's not much I can tell you. Not that I don't want to there's just not a lot to tell. They are resistent to EMP and if something tries to possess it...well lets just say it basically crushes and ejects any such unwanted presence in the systems. Though they are slow they have excessive armor, and perfect accuracy. Their only real weakness in close range. Not like a few feet. I mean you have to get within inches of them to be in their blind spot. Though no part of their armor is weak the least strong is the legs, that would do the trick. Rhino then walks anxiously to the door but hesitates. Rhino: I should probably get out there. I could use their 'matter tear' from when they used their Matter Transmittion to send in the 307's so I could get onto their ship. Then if I could get to Enigma I could shut it all down. Of course I wouldn't know where to go or what to do and such a thing has never been successfully accomplished...but if it would save this place then I would go. Just say the word. ____________________ Suddenly Enigma realized that he was not alone in his assault. There was another...ship? that was now lauching an attack on his target. So he did what would establish improved conclusion status' than that of a one on one battle. He ceased his assault and allowed the new commer to have it's turn. |

| ATW nodded and thought for a second ATW: A widespread computer virus is out of the question then... If youre willing to get on their ship, then... ATW poofs the rainbow rod into a mini laptop and begins typing furiously. Numbers fly across the screen and begin to arrange themselves into a particular order ATW: There never has been a system I couldnt hack, or reverse engineer for that matter... Oh-ho! I win! A green exclamation mark appears on screen, and Kirby hits enter. Binary numbers appear in front of the computer and form a green portal, leading straight into the mothership of the mechanical army. Kirby shuts the laptop and poofs it back into the rainbow rod. A short wave later, and a miniature earpiece poofs out of the air. Kirby gives it to Rhino ATW: This earpiece will allow you to stay in touch with me. As for this portal... one-way. Straight up to the mothership, using the matter tear thing. It'll work with what you can do to get you there. Contact me when you need to get out. Im not sure how long it will take for them to notice that I got you in, but they will notice, and shut me out again. Not that I cant hack my way back in... ATW waved the rainbow rod in front of him and created a blue portal. He reached in, and a bomb similar to the one that had been extracted from the first tra-vis was in his hands. He handed it to Rhino ATW: Use this to cause some damage if need be... Its only a prototype, so Im not sure how powerful it is yet... A few squeaking sounds were heard from a pocket in Kirbys robe. He pulled out a pink cell phone and flipped it open ATW: Talk to me... yes? Great... they what? Oh crap... not good... keep em busy when they get here... just stay stong MK. ATW flipped the phone shut and replaced it. A rather large BOOM was heard and the console nearest ATW began blaring. ATW rushed over ATW: Shields at 15% and failing... cant say I didnt expect this from 02... ATW flipped a few switches and put the rainbow rod into another slot. He pressed a large button on the side of the machine, and a rainbow shaped pulse shot through the wires, up through the generator, onto the shield, across the beam being fired, and into the beam cannon, effectively shorting it out, along with the shield. ATW removed the rod from the ruined machine and pocketed it again. He went for the door, but before leaving, he turned to Rhino ATW: Once again, its your call. ATW rushed down the hall leaving rhino alone again. |

| 02 grinned at the sight of the Rainbow Palace's shield going down. 02: "You have seen it with your own two eyes, commander! Their defensive systems are down and their remaining batteries are harmless to our ships' powerful hulls! Now, I leave to you and your troops to enjoy the slaughter! Leave no creature alive! Kill everyone! Men, women, children, whatever! Kill EVERYTHING!" Dark Matter commander: "We shall honor the Queen of Darkness!" ... The two Dark Comets suddenly had a burst of speed and collided right into the Rainbow Palace! Upon impact, the Dark Comets imploded, breaking the walls and sending thousands of Dark Troopers, Dark Limbas, Dark Matters, and possessed warriors into the halls of the castle. Leading the charge was Nightmare and to his side, Dark MetaKnight. Nightmare: "Just like our last battle against the Star Warriors! Surround them! Crush them! To the last one!" Nightmare charged energy into his hands as he prepared to fight. He couldn't wait to stuff those stupid fools with deadly bad dreams! Yes, he would definitely enjoy this! Dark MetaKnight remained calm, as always. He had no desire of taking part in the melee. While Nightmare would be busy fighting, he would sneak trought the enemy lines and locate MetaKnight's descendant and then... he would challenge the knight into a duel to the end, like he did for all the others. Nightmare and the others wouldn't attack MetaKnight's descendant for they respected Dark MetaKnight's decision... and even tought Nightmare always make fun of Dark MetaKnight's excess in his honor code, he still respect him enough to let him duel alone. ...and anyway, what chances do this descendant stands against him? Black Hole had grown much, much stronger than Galaxia trought the millenias for each time he had defeated MetaKnight's newest descendant, he had taken the power from Galaxia and inserted it into Black Hole. While he could have obtained the sword long ago, Dark MetaKnight considered it a holy weapon and as long as a descendant of MetaKnight would remain, he will have no right to wield it. ... 02 stared at the monitors in silence... Next to her, a eagle wearing the clothes of a boat captain. This was Captain Hookblade, Dark MetaKnight's second-in-command who had once been, so very long again, the original MetaKnight's second-in-command. Now, however, he served the Queen of Darkness for he had sold his soul to her in exchange of becoming the captain of the Dark Matters' strongest ship (next to the Hyper Zone of course): the Mad Mechanism. 02: "Hookblade... did you made sure to make an opening in the attacks, as ordered?" Hookblade: "Yes, we did as you ordered. There is a "weak" spot in the offensive... one that will lead the enemy right into your castle." 02: "Good. They didn't stood a chance inside of their castle to begin with... but if they actually dare to bring the battle inside of the Hyper Zone, they're definitely doomed." Hookblade: "Your plans are pure genious, as usual. We placed the containement fields as you ordered. If things get out of hand or if the warriors are kamikazes, we can contain the resulting explosions of whatever device they may bring." 02 smiled. 02: "Good... good... but sending troops won't be needed. I want to greet our upcoming visitors myself. Take the command of the assault, Hookblade." Hookblade: "Yes my Queen." 02 stood up and sliowly walked out of the throne room while Captain Hookblade sat down on 02's throne and customised the controls to his likings so he would be able to lead the operations... ... 02 stood, alone, in the room where Rhino will appear if he decides to enter the Hyper Zone. She is alone, smiling, awaiting the poor fool who will dare to challenge her might... 02: "It has been three centuries since I last crushed an insect myself... this will make good exercise..." | ATW left the shield room, a little dishearted because of something he knew was going to happen. He had a feeling that today would be the day. Walking down the halls with rainbow rod in hand, he took a turn down a deserted hall to a room in an almost unreachable part of the palace. Nobody would find him down here unless he wanted them to. This room had no label, only a rusted door handle. ATW opened the door and walked inside. In the middle of the room was a single person, draped in purple robes, no hint of a face showing. ATW bowed and sat down ATW: Spectra... you know what is going on up there? The figure didnt move Spectra: Of course I do. Ive known this day has been coming for many decades now. The day when darkness begins to reign once more. ATW drooped his head ATW: Are you sure there is no other possible solution. The future is clear? Spectra: I still have but one prophecy to reveal to you. "When the moons begin to fade to black, The place will be revealed, To the one true hero of the Rainbow, Guided by ancient's might, With the stars pointing the way, And the will of all will be combined, Darkness shall flee forever." With that sentence, ATW stood up, and walked out of the room. Behind him, spectra faded into the darkness of the room. As the door closed, it disappeared from existance. ATW bowed his head, and a solitary tear fell from his eyes, now full with determination and focus. The rainbow rod glowed feircely as he walked down the dimming hallways of the once spectacular palace. Up many flights of stairs to the top most tower of the palace, ATW went stepped into a room simply labeled "Fine". Inside was a solitary glowing pedistal. ATW stepped in, when he felt a hand on his shoulder. ATW didnt bother to turn around. He knew who it was. MK: Sire? ATW: Metaknight, you know this is the only way. ATW had nearly no emotion in his voice. Metaknight forced ATW around to stare at him. MK: You know of the consequences that could be faced? ATW nodded MK: Im not stopping you... ATW pulled away from Metaknight and backed up a few steps ATW: Tell the troops to activate plan 46-B2.1. Find Rhino as well, tell him not to go into the portal, even though its probably closed by now anyways. As for me... Ill find you guys eventually. ATW pushed Metaknight out of the room and locked the door. Metaknight bowed his head and rushed off down the hallways, paging troops on his intercom. ATW turned around and looked at the pedistal. ATW walked up the steps near it and stood perfectly still, concentrating. The pedistal began to rise from the room, phasing through the ceiling along with ATW. Outside, the battle stopped as the entire army on both sides watched he pedistal rise out of the palace. One by one the troops on the ground, in the air, in the castle, and anywhere else in the palace pulled out their warpstars, and flew out of the palace, into deep space, away from hyper zone as well. Inside the palace, all non-troop members were in the lower hanger, on Ricky's bus, being prepared to be shipped out of the palace, and away from what they knew was to come. Everyone had their heads bowed as they sped away into deep space, leaving only ATW on the still rising pedistal. ATW: If 02 wants a fight ATW blinked his eyes, and they glowed a furious, pupil-less white ATW: Then am I going to give it what it deserves. The pedistal stopped at its highest point, with ATW on top with brilliant white eyes. The star symbol on his forehead appeared beneath his feet, and began to spin into a yellow blur. Beneath ATW, the palace began to lose its color, and seemingly fade away as ATW was engulfed in pure energy. The energy swirled around him, and faded into white. Below, any dark beings were incinerated as the ball of light grew even brighter to the power. The rainbow palace had soon disappeared into the ball of energy, with ATW at the center, perfectly focused. Up in hyper zone, 02 watched with fear in her eyes as she realized what was going on. Not far off, the Mechanical enemies watched with growing confusion. Soon the glowing ball began to compress itself, and soon, only ATW was seen, still glowing, and the rainbow rod missing. Two words escaped from his mouth before the unthinkable happened. ATW: ECLIPSE CANNON!!!!!!! From the single point in space ATW was occupying, pure energy erupted in a huge focused beam towards hyper zone, tearing through the ships as if they were tissue paper, evaporating shields and ships with pure light. The beam blasted Hyper Zone back through space, severly damaged, and on the brink of collapse. The mechanical fleet had its ships completely shorted out, and half destroyed, and anything else that survived the blast was left completely inoperable and unrepairable. The ships were sent along with hyper zone into the blackness of space. When the beam ceased to fire anymore, Rainbow palace was no more. All that was left was a dim fragment of the pedistal ATW was standing on, clutched in his hand. ATW's eyes had returned to a normal hazel-brown, and the star insignia on his forehead was back. The rainbow rod was clutched in his hand, and he unconsciously floated through space. A lone yellow star with a blue masked general riding it rushed in and grabbed him from the depths of space, and flickered into the distance, to an unknown green planet near the far corner of the galaxy. Not to be the breaker of my own "NO SUPERPOWER BLAHBLAHBLAH" note at the beginning  This was a plot point okay? It needed to happen  |
