I dont have a favorite RPG... theres just no way to pick.

The best ones Ive ever played are SMRPG, Earthbound, FF7, FF9, theres probably another one that I cant remember right now, but its there

Paper Mario I and II were good, but they werent great. I liked them, they werent my favorites.

Dont worry. CT's really, really overrated. It's not one of those games that you must play or anything like that. People who think that need to play REAL games.

PMTTYD, hands down. Fun game, hilarious, and Lord Crump and the X-Nauts are one of the best villian groups of all. I'm at the early part of Chapter 4.

The GCN Paper Mario was OVERRATED.

The only thing it had going for it was the fact that Mario was in it. The original was much better, especially since you didn't have the "lol b button dodge".

Honestly, I would have to say, although it really isn't traditional, Disgaea.

Since it's not up here because SOMEONE lacks knowledge of Nippon Ichi, I have to vote "other".

Final Fantasy VII. It's the only RPG that's actually made me cry. (when Aerith died)

FF7 made me wtf for days.

I'm serious.

I walked around school, going "wtf?". Several people laughed their heads off when Aeris(th) died (yeah, they're definitely sadistic).

God! I hate people who are obsessed with Final Fantasy! You people are so sad! Just because the guy died is no freaking reason to cry! Grow up and get a life!

Nice one, Slick.

Aeris wasn't a guy.

Well, if we're just counting normal RPGs... I think I'm gonna go with Earthbound.

Edit: Now that I see FFT and *laugh* FFTA, I see that you're also adding in Strategy RPGs. In that case, add Front Mission (I've played 1 and 3, both are quite good) and FFT to the list.

Xenogears was pretty sweet. Non-Square RPG\'s that deserve credit are Atelier Iris, Thousand Arms, Lunar and Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. I\'m almost done with Earthbound and it\'s pretty sweet. And Disgaea: Best. Game. Ever.

Paper Mario: TTYD for sure. I love that game. It's still my favorite, and probably always will be for a long time. Many plot twists, like:

Spoiler:
Vivian joining you

and

Spoiler:
Shadow Queen being last boss instead of Grodus

And I love the 7th chapter (X-Naut Fortress and the music pwned)

Nuff said?

The lack of Chrono Trigger in the poll is funny.
Its hard for me to pick one favorite... Paper Mario, FF6, and Star Ocean were all great, but I didn't really want to vote for them over the 'other' options of Earthbound, Skies of Arcadia, Suikoden III, Mario & Luigi, and Chrono Trigger.

I shouldn't have commented so soon. I got Tales of Symphonia and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones a few days after my last post. And I foolishly forgot Lunar. *slaps head*

I don't give a freaking damn if the person in FF died was a guy, a girl, an alien or a freaking carrot! It doesn't freaking matter! It's a game not your life! If you like the character so much why don't you just go marry her! (or the game whichever one you prefer I wouldn't know because I'm not a loser like you)

*laughs*

Hey, I'm not the one that cried. I'm simply pointing out that... how should I say this? Ah, here we go: You're not the sharpest knife in the kitchen.

So, would I be correct in assuming that you also think it's stupid to cry during a movie or when reading a book? If I am correct, I'm not surprised; that's a typical attitude that I see a lot in ten-year-old brats and moronic rebellious sixteen-year-olds. If I'm wrong... if I'm wrong, I'll save my comments until you tell me I'm wrong.

Now, to be on-topic like a good little moderator...

I think TTYD wasn't as good as Paper Mario. Certain things that happened aren't quite... Mario-like. However, the sidescrolling Bowser levels were a nice thing to see. FFVI, like FFVII, was overrated, but I did enjoy it quite a bit... Chrono Trigger is also overrated to an extent, but I think it's one of the better games I've seen from Square.
