You didn't even get past the opening Thats like me saying all first person shooter games sucked because I didn't like the begining movie.

Yeah, and you can't really judge an RPG after only playing 2 hours of it. =\

Unless it's Fable, because then chances are you've played almost half the game.

Potential spoilers ahead...

Aaanyway, I'm up to the part where you're searching for the inhibitor ore for Presea... couldn't find the pier that'd let me get to the mine. And my best combo was 46, against the boss of the Tower of Mana. It probably would've been longer, but I had used a Black Quartz earlier.

Heh, it's hard to find. Even after my Xth (I have no idea of how many times I've completed the game) time, I'm still having (some) trouble finding it.

And it's actually easy to do big combos. (Kratos is good at it, Zelos too at a lesser level).

The only hard thing is making the enemy survive (Dealing 2000+ Damage each hit kills them fast )

Damnit, I've been trying to get myself to get back into this game, I just ... can't seem to drag myself away from Doom 3+RoE, CV: DoS, Actraiser, and all these games I've been buying lately.

I just magically stopped when I got to the third continent, maybe I bought RE4 at that time or something ... but, I don't know.

I haven't played this game a whole lot recently either I did turn the Gamecube on for a bit a week or so ago, and managed to make it through the Earth Temple, but that was mostly because I'd brought all my games downstairs since a friend of my sister's wanted to see them, and I wanted to see where I left off in it. I'm not looking forward to going through Shadow's temple (can't remember the name of it, although I think it's the Temple of Darkness) either. It seems much more difficult compared to the others. Given the certain skit you can watch while you're in there, I suppose that's to be expected though. It's not that the battles are difficult or anything, but just the puzzle involved of finding the five pieces of Shadow first, then needing to guide them down to the bottom of the temple. I'll get it done sooner or later though.

Provided you have some to spare, what about using an All-Divide when you're trying to get a big combo? If I remember right, there's somewhere around 5 in the whole game (unless you can steal them from a certain enemy), and I end up using 3 or 4 by the time I get to the final battle. One for the Abyssion fight, one for the third battle with the Skeleton Dancer, another for the battle in the coliseum where you fight Meredy, Farah, and Garr, and the last being optional (if I find I need it for a certain battle, such as the fight with Forcystus on Mania). Either that, or you could go back to the beginning of the game and buy the weakest weapons possible for the characters you use in battle.

As for finding the entrance to the mine, I usually just follow the coast on the bottom edge of the island it's on. It doesn't take too long to find it that way, and it's a lot more convenient than haphazardly checking various spots along the coast

The third continent on Sylvarant? I thought you'd be quite a bit further than that by now, but I suppose with that many other games to play, it would be easy to set it aside. You should try to get back into it again though, as you likely won't regret it once things get going again

Anyway, it's fun for everyone, providing Player 1 isn't stupid and doesn't avoid battles.

My favorite character is Genis, and has been ever since I saw an advertisement for it.

I got this game on the same day I asked this day within an hour or so, and I've really enjoyed it (27+ hours of playing in less than a week), but the multiplayer, I could see how it would be great fun, except the only people I can play with around here are my cousins who are too young to get it. I'm currently in Teth'ella, in the forest looking for Altessa's house. So far I've only used Lloyd, Colette, Sheena and Presea as manual characters, I think I like Lloyd and Presea best (her moves seem very destructively powerful and have such low TP costs =o).

You should try either Kratos or Zelos. (Kratos is easier to use IMO)

You can do pretty cool combos with them.

Spoiler:
You can see it when you're fighting Zelos in the Tower of Salvation, if you did everything to get Kratos. On mania, that guy is crazy. Comboing for thousands of damage = ouch)

I don't have Kratos in my party right now, but I do have Zelos, I'll give him a try when I get back to my relatives.
