OK, so i've been working on COTMK, but for some reason one of the blocks I inserted that came with blocktool crashes the game. I've checked the usage notes, and it doesn't say anthing about the map16++ code being needed. Does anyone know what I may need to fix, or should I jump through a few hoops and try to get the map16++.ips from google? I'd still need to hook up my computer, though...

if the block has this instruction you need the patch JSL $1A817A

OK, because I can't tell it it does because the block is dhblock.bin, and the code starts on (line?) 349. That at least is the offset used in that block entry in blocktool.

I also remember blocks that use map16++ crashing the game when you used them beyond the 3rd or 4th page of map16 tiles

Shit. So I guess I'll have to mix n' match the tiles to get them to work. Oh well, here we go again.

EDIT: Dammit! I hope that the patch works, because there are too many tiles to count that would need to be moved otherwise. Shit.

'Hmm' is not a descriptive enough thread title.

...Something I should have realized. Anyways, does anyone know of a way to fix this problem? Currently the tiles are in the range 400-4FF, and I can't move them to the 200-2FF or 300-3FF range because the tiles there are already used up. I guess I could try moving some, but overall there's going to be a problem if I try that.

I'm using one of the custom.zip ones, which uses MAP16++.ips. I've already patched it, and am using the "fire map16++" block (map16s.bin), for mario's switches. I've got the map16 tile at 4E3. I've also tried using the tile on the last page, but no go. Afterwards, I'm going to use map16sx.bin to be manipulated by the duboar sprite.
EDIT: Fu, if you ever see this, is there a way I could fix this glitch? I only need the code to work for blocks 400-4FF, none of the others.
