| Vincent was just barely conscious. Luckily he was in shallow water or he would have drown, but here he could stand quite easily. But he couldn't move his left arm. Vincent: What? How did you..? I didn't think that anything could outrun him...thank you. In the past all of my encounters with him were quite...unpleasent. Wading to the shore he was barely able to stand but he tried to hide it as best as he could. Turning around he began to suspiciously suvey the surrounding forest in case there was something he hadn't noticed at first glance. Trying one last time to move his arm he finally decided that it had to be broken. Grabbing it with his other hand he attempted to jam it back into place... Vincent: Aaahh! Why the..? *crack* Aaahh! He seemed persistent in his attempts, even though it was obviously just causing him pain and serving no other purpose. ________________________ Levi'athan was thrown back by the sonic boom and slammed into a nearby tree. But stood up as though he was un-hurt. Levi': Sonic boom. I am Levi'athan. I believe I know the one responsible... Sending a brief transmission to Asha'man he continued. Levi': ...it was Vincent. |

| ooc: OK, so how exactly would Snipes resonate? He does have feelings for the nice Phantron, but none for the mean one. Here's my guess Feeling the call one last time, Snipes felt differnt about this one- More secure and trusting. Calling out to Phantron with his soul, Snipes glowed a light blue, and began to resonate with Phantron. |

| OFF: Well... it's simple. the two will resonate as long as it's the nice one that's awake. The second the original one awakens, the connection is cut off and the Soul Resonance ends. ____________________________________________________________________ As the two resonated, Phantron smiled... ...and then... ZAAAAAP!!! Some kind of energy stream came out of Phantron and struck Snipes! Phantron opened her eyes and had a weird expression... altought she was being shocked, her smile widened... All of Phantron's knowledge was transferred into Snipes. All of her mysterious powers were now his... as well as her memories, toughts, and feelings. He seen exactely what she was, how she felt... The same was happening to Snipes. The tremendous energy was forcing all of his powers out of him and into Phantron. All that he knew, believed, felt was Phantron's now as well. Phantron slowly opened her eyes... the resonance grew stronger. Phantron smiled in an awkward way... Phantron: "I know what are your worries... and you seen mine. We both know the the replies to each of what we are going to say without even saying it..." Phantron took a strange stance... Phantron: "Let's kick it up a notch, shall we?" Phantron winked and then, she floated toward Snipes... she got closer... closer... closer... BAAAAAM!!! From within Phantron's mind, her original personality awakened! Since Snipes was resonating with the nice Phantron, not the original one, the connection was cut off suddenly!... and cutting the connection so suddenly was a MAJOR mistake. Phantron (original): "Hahaha! Now your powers are... m... i... n... e...!!!" The light turned red and Phantron screamed in pain as she overloaded. Phantron (original): "AAAAAAAAARG!!!" Unfortunately for Snipes, the same was happening to him. His circuits were overloading too. Then... BOOM! Phantron (original): "THIS... WAS... NOT... SUPPOSED... TO... HAPPEN!!!" The light faded and Phantron fell down, unconscious. A fuse within her nervous system had exploded in order to keep the main CPU from being fried by the overcharge of energy. The overcharge had been caused by the original Phantron's awakening for she had forgotten a very important detail: a Soul Resonance can only be performed by two beings who share the same feeling. Since Snipes hated the original Phantron, the connection was cut off and the energy that was supposed to be transferred to the other one was unstead sent back into the circuits... but since the amount of power sent was too much for any system to take, it caused an overload in both machines. If Snipes would have been a biological being, it could have killed him... but thankfully, Reploids, like most machines, have a high level of endurance. In fact, altought Snipes would have suffered almost enough pain to faint, the actual damage suffered was minimal. The most damage was emotionnal. Still, the actual Soul Resonance was done altought the optionnal second phase Phantron had tried to initiate had failed. As such, starting from now, Snipes would periodically gain new powers as the abilities Phantron gave him would be unsealed. Basically, he had to "merge" the correct memory to the correct feeling and then, this feeling to the correct raw power. Once this is done, Snipes will have a new ability. As soon as Snipes had been knocked out of Soul Resonance, his first ability was unsealed... If Snipes didn't had this ability already, he can now take out a Buster Handgun out of thin air and use it as a weapon and this, permanently. If he already had a Buster, then his Buster is upgraded to a Blaster Handgun/Cannon, significantly increasing the power, range, and precision of his weapon. Thrown backwards from the overload, Snipes was sent clear of the clearing, and quite far into the jungle, Where he lay down, stunned from the force. Whilst trying to get up, Snipes too fainted. |

| ooc: I know no-one else has replied, but since it'll probably be a while before Snipes finds anyone, I figure i'll post here. "Urg... My head...." Opening his eyes to a jungle canopy, Snipes tilted his head from side to side, before deciding that he was indeed on his own. Propping himself up onto a rock, Snipes winced before checking his weapons. His sword was fine, but when Snipes pulled out his pistols, they weren't his. Bewildered, Snipes thought hard before remembering the events that led to him being here. "well, that wasn't the greatest experience of my life- I could have easily done without being thrown backwards like that." Standing up, Snipes looked to see if he could catch a glimpse of either of his companions. Nothing. "Hmm... Looks like I'll have to rely on myself for a bit. No problem, but I hope the other two are okay..." Following the section of dirt that he had uprooted before fainting, Snipes began to walk through the underbrush, knowing it would be a long walk before he found anyone... |

| Meanwhile far behind Vincent Kyle and Blue, Asha'man was considering his options. And feasting on the spiders corpses. They were quiet good, but nothing compared to the sweet taste of victory. Taking one final bite he began at a jog eventually working into a flat out sprint after his prey. A brief transmission received from Levi'athan proved he was headed in the right direction. Though he wasn't traveling nearly fast enough to break the sound barrier, and he still had to track as he moved, he was making good time... __________________ Walking to the damaged 'robot' or whatever it was Levi'athan briefly scanned it but made no move to repair it before moving on. He would try to find the other. If it wasn't destroyed. He knew the direction it had gone so he simply started walking toward where it should be, but suddenly he remembered something. Turning back to the clearing he addressed Cyberaptor... Levi': If this one wakes up before I return tell it not to worry, Levi'athan will find the one who has done this. I will bring it back. Then turning back to began to search through the forest for the assailant. Using shadows to move swiftly he would find it in a matter of minutes unless it hid. ooc: Darkflight, if you don't want to be found then just say that you avoided Levi'athan but if you let him find Snipes he will offer to take him back to his friends. And he does, of course. Just so that you don't have to wait for another post from me. |

| It had been about ten minutes after Snipes forst set out back to where he had been sent flying from, when Snipes felt a breif pang of pain in his chest. Falling to all fours, Snipes gasped. Before he could do anything else, his damaged systems gave out and Snipes fell to the ground, motionless. The last thing he saw was a figure approaching him, then he blacked out. | |||

| Slowly, Phantron's systems reactivated... she stood up and opened her eyes. Her eyes seemed... empty. Phantron: "... ... running system check. ... Main CPU intact. Neural interface intact. Nervous connections have overheated... Checking... auto-repair completed. Artificial heart intact. Main power generator offline. Various burn damages detected. Auto-repair in progress. 45% and growing. Auxiliary power generators online. Currently in function. Fournishing 90% power output. Primary weapon platform intact. Secondary weapon platforms intact. Movement sub-systems intact. Shielding systems offline. Auto-repair in progres. 79% and growing. Thrusters sub-systems intact. All vital main systems OK. Checking sub-systems created via "Soul Resonance" program. Aura generator intact. Weapon transformation module intact. Over-charge sub-systems offline. Various burn damages detected. Auto-repair in progress. Currently at 5%. Mana Crystal Modulator intact. Energy Converter intact. Anti-Matter Converter intact. Vortex Engine damaged. Internal circuits fried. Auto-repair in progress. Prograss at 1%. ... All vital sub-systems OK. ... Reactivating AI intelligence "Phantron" in 10 seconds. System error. Two AIs detected. Deleting an AI could cause serious internal damage. Activating both AIs in 10 seconds. ... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..." Suddenly, Phantron gasped and something happened to her eyes. They were once again filled with life... Phantron: "Well... that was unpleasant..." Phantron looked around and wondered how long she had remained unconscious... |

| Walking over to the shut down redploid Levi'athan picked him up with his left hand so that he could get a better look at him. Levi: You have many questions to answer my reploid friend. Then transmitting back and forth with something just outside the atmosphere he made his way back to the clearing he had begun his search. And when he returned he simply set Snipes down in front of the still re-awakening Phantron, where he waited to see their reactions when they saw eachother, so that he could determine what friend/foe status currently existed. ooc: Any transmissions intercepted would be in an un-known language. And what time of day is it? I was wondering because Levi'athan usually uses shadows to move, which naturally makes him more powerful at night. _________________ Slowing to a halt Asha'man suddenly came to water. He had passed the location of Levi'athan's transmission quiete a while ago and now it seemed that the hunt was lost, but he would never give up. Scanning the water he could see no missing moss and no overturned rock. However it was more likely that they would travel down stream. Harder to track. ooc: I still can't post about Vincent because I have to wait for a post from Cheesepie. |

| Cyberaptor finally recovered from his daze caused by the sonic boom. Staggering up, he surveyed the situation before him. It was late in the evening now, maybe about seven o'clock, judging by the shadows. A new figure stood between Snipes and Phantron, who both seemed to be regaining consciousness. Cyberaptor did not witness the Soul Resonance, so he believed that they had only been knocked out by the sonic boom, and did not question the matter further. Cyberaptor walked up to the three. Cyberaptor: Okay, here is the situation. I have no memory of my previous mission, but for now, I will accompany Phantron and make sure that her evil personality does not surface. I must not allow any harm to come to anyone through her, and so wherever she goes, I go too. Now what do you plan to do? Cyberaptor turned to Levi'athan. Cyberaptor: And you. Declare yourself! What have you witnessed here? --- Back by the waterfall, Kyle and Blue watched as Vincent futilely tried to fix his arm, wincing every time they heard a snap or a crunch. Blue: Please, stop that, Vincent! You're not fixing anything! Here, eat one of these. Blue pulled a large, golden honeycomb from his backpack, and handed it to Vincent. Blue: Where I come from, things are a lot simpler. If you get hurt, you eat a honeycomb, and you feel as good as new. That's the advantage to being a video game character, I guess. Blue smiled smugly, and turned to head to land. When he did this, he revealed a gigantic, black leech latched onto his back! Kyle: Ew! Blue, on your back! | For the time being, it seemed like Snpies wasn't going to get up, but then slowly, Snipes moved his arms and legs. Clumsily getting up, Snipes could not remember anything, except that his head hurt like hell. "Wha..? What happened?" Bewildered by the turn of events, Snipes shook his head and tried to get up, but failed and sank back down to a sitting position, his back against a rock. Placing his hand on his forehead, Snipes winced. Noticing only levi'athan, Snipes spoke to him "Ugh.. I can't remember a thing. Where's Phantron, and Cyberaptor, the two I was with?! Hell, who're you?" |

| Hesitating only a moment Vincent ate the honeycomb and it actually helped. It was just like Blue had said, he felt like he had never been hurt. But before he could do or say anything he heard Blue screaming. Realizing what was going on he could only think of one thing to do. Vincent: Fire Maggots He just barely mumbled it because in many places this summoning was viewed as evil and very disgusting. But it was very effective. Fire Maggots spawning from thin air they dropped to the ground and attacked the leeches with their supperior numbers. When they got close enough they would suddenly jump up off the ground and burrow deep in the leeches without ever touching Kyle, Blue, or Vincent. As they burrowed the leeches would catch fire and fall to the ground. Where they shriveled up and died. Soon after the last of the leeches were gone Vincent finished the summon and they disappeared. Vincent: Well, we should probably hurry. I wonder if we really lost Asha'man. Anyway, where do we go from here? __________________ Looking back and forth between Snipes and Cyberaptor Levi'athan wasn't sure who to answer first. The two had asked their questions at literally the exact same time. Finally he turned to Snipes... Levi': The one you call Cyberaptor is here. He has suffered little or no damage. The other...Phantron...well see for yourself. Gesturing to Phantron he turned back to Cyberaptor... Levi': I am Levi'athan, Warrior of the Protoss Empire. | Blue: Phew, what a relief! Nice one, Vincent! But really, where do we go from here? Kyle thought for a second. Kyle: We still haven't told him what we're after...but I think it's about time we did. Blue: Yes. Vincent, we're searching for a treasure right now...a really big one. When you met us back in the mine, we'd just gotten our first clue, and it told us to head into this jungle and find something called a Nightmare Weed. It guards an item that we need to find the treasure, and so now we need to find the plant. Only we don't know where it is...just very close to the center of the forest. Kyle: Yeah, and then that robot came along, and it's trying to stop us...so is that dinosaur, as far as we know. Plus your friend back there with the spiders. I don't think any of them are after the treasure yet, though. Let's hope that they don't find out about it, or we'll have a bunch of competition. Blue: But right now, we aren't the only ones searching for it. There are some air pirates, too. We don't want them to get to the treasure first...partly because they could do terrible things with it, and also because we want it. Kyle: So, I guess if you're coming along with us, you're in for the gold too. Blue: That's right, you're in our group now. We'll split the treasure 33%. Or...33.3%...it'll be kind of hard to round out, actually...but we'll do it. Blue cleared his throat. Blue: Well, I'm kind of thirsty, and it'd be better if I drank from the water right here than use the water we packed. For conservation, you know. I'll be right back, after I get my fill. Blue walked over to the waterfall, and starting drinking from the falling stuff. Kyle: Well then, I am kind of curious about that guy back there. Why is he after you? Or is that sort of personal? |

| Thinking about what he had just been told Vincent decided that he would help them, and more importantly that they could be trusted. However the question caught him off guard, but he tried to hide it as best he could. Vincent: Uh, well...it's kind of complicated. I don't really...know why. I used to know Asha'man. We were quite good friends actually. But then...something happened. Now him and another like him are hunting me and my brother. The Tribes of Protoss have always had a make-shift alliance with all human factions. It just doesn't make sense. Pausing he realized that he would have to completely explain the entire history of his entire planet and everything on it in order to explain something as simple as why Asha'man was hunting him. Vincent: Well to make a long story short I don't believe he wants to kill me. It's the whole Protoss Empire. They've been trying to regain control of the individual Tribes for generations. But I don't know why he would side with them. He always hated them, and therefore always supported Protoss-Human relations. It was a way to rebel against them. But you probably really don't care. I guess wel should be finding this treasure. Do either of you have any idea where we are, or where we should look first? Maybe we could figure out where the center of the jungle is? A giant plant would probably need water, so unless there's an underground water vein then there is a good chance that it resides near this very river. ooc: Are we there yet? jk. How long before we get to pit our characters against this plant monster? Maybe if you gave us clues we could find it rather than you leading us to it. Just an idea. It would probably take a lot longer though. |

| Listening to Levi' athan, Snipes looked first at cyberaptr, who was okay, then towards Phantron. Snipes was releived to see her awake, but she'd obviously been fried by somthing. What it was, Snipes couldn't begin to guess (although it had involved him), and merely widened his eyes at her damaged figure, and asked her "Phantron?! What happened to you?" |

| OOC: We'll find the boss in a while, once I run out of ideas of events in the jungle. As for clues...well, for this part I probably should lead us around...but Vincent, Kyle, and Blue will find out where to look pretty soon. ----- As Blue was sloppily drinking from the waterfall, he failed to notice a shaded figure approach from the other side of it. Blue continued drinking, and even washed a little bit, and the figure got closer and closer...finally, Blue managed to see it out of he corner of his eye, just as it stood a mere three feet away. Blue: Yipe! Who're you?! Blue stared ahead...and only saw his reflection in the waterfall! Blue: Wow...I scared myself... Blue waved his left wing, and his reflection did the same. He moved his right, and then his leg, and it mimicked him precisely. Blue: ...Yep, it's definitely just my reflection. Blue leaned forward into the water again, and his reflection grabbed him and knocked him out with a small rock! A few minutes later, when Blue's absence was becoming suspicious, he arrived, staggering, from the waterfall. Blue: Ow...I really hit my head hard back there... Kyle: Is that what kept you? Blue: Yeah, it is. I'm okay, though. Now, where should we head first to find this plant? Suddenly, the Basilisk flew over the heads of Vincent, Kyle, and Blue! Kyle: Look, it's that pirate ship! They must now where they're going. I bet if we follow it, we'll find the next key! Blue: Follow the pirates? Are you mad? I mean, uh, yeah! Let's do it! And so the three took off into the trees again, following the airship as best they could... Meanwhile, the real Blue woke up by the waterfall, rubbing his head with his wing. Blue: Wow...was I attacked by...me? |

| ooc: Wow, I didn't even see that coming. If there are small differences like a missing item or different posture then Vincent would probably notice, but for now I will assume this is probably a perfect copy of Blue. ______________________ Vincent following Kyle and Blue kept a close eye on the Basilisk. So far it was their best chance of finding this plant monster thing. For a guy in full armor he moved acceptionally quick. ______________________ Asha'man also spotted the Basilisk. Sending the co-ordinates to a Protoss Legion ship outside the atmosphere he was instantly transmitted onto the top of the Basilisk. He would find the one in charge and inquire about Vincent, and ask for help in finding him. His presence was no secret so he approached the first pirate he could find... Asha'man: I need to talk to you captain. Take me to him. Despite the fact that he was probably terrifying to any human who didn't know what a Protoss Warrior was, and probably even more so to one that did know what one was, he didn't think that he would have much trouble finding whoever ran this ship and striking a bargain with him. | Phantron stared at Snipes... Phantron: "Snipes... something happened during the Soul Resonance... I sensed something awakening within me and trying to overwritte me... but by doing so, it also severed the link and we were unable to... never mind. The Soul Resonance was carried out, tought... and as such... you now share my powers..." Phantron looked down... Phantron: "Soul Resonance doesn't only occur trought love or friendship, Snipes... I met with terrible beings in the past... very terrible... and in anger and hatred, I resonated with them. Thus, I am filled with terrible, cursed powers... and those powers are yours as well. All those that resonated with me in the past were unable to control the power... letting themselves be controlled and turning into monsters." Phantron paused. Phantron: "Will... will you turn into a monster too? Will you turn away from me once the power will have awakened? You promised you'd help me... and I trust you... but the unknow force that cut out our link instilled a doubt within me. I could barely sense what it was... but it was strong... very strong... and it was full of hatred for all life. I don't know if I could remove such a force... too much hatred for me to handle..." Phantron paused again... she looked into Snipes' eyes.
