| Yeah, thought I'd make a thread here. But, the new Acmlmboard 2.0 will be entirely different from this, a completely new thing. Why? I've seen Acmlm's "test forum", but I'm just curious why it will, for the most part be, completely different from this board (the current 1.A distributions, etc), structure and code wise? Would this board be upgrading? Wouldn't that mean there's a possible "restart" there? Will 2.0 even come out? Sorry for all the questions, just curious really. |

| No. Unless Acmlm is specifically making the systems tie in, there isn't a simple "Command" to just convert over to something. I'm somebody who's converted my board from Acmlm+Erk to 1.A2, trust me ... conversions are not always so simple. Edit: I hacked to double post. Actually Kitten Yiffer deleted his post. (don't ask, I removed my post up there there...  )What I said: I'm quite sure it's possible to convert the posts and users here to the new board system with a SQL command. So I don't think a restart is needed. I think it's possible, but it's just... hellalot work to do. And where is this test forum? |

| My guess is that the actual 2.0 has a complete different database, but don't quote me on that. But if one of the board programming is willing to put enough time in it, a conversion should be possible. | AcmlmBoard 2.0 has been in the making for over three years now. I highly doubt it's ever coming out at all. Just like Danicess' NWN mod. |
