I have a Sony S2 CD/MP3 player. 'S really nice, considering it cost about US$100. It's got AM/FM, Weatherband, and even TV band, so I can listen to TV shows....that is up to channel 13....lousy UHF isn't picked up... MY headphones are a pair of real badass, super huge, foldable Koss Studio Monitors. They really do well in blocking out street noise, etc., so it really lets me get serious amounts of work done.

Anyone who wears full studio headphones looks like the guy out of the Freestyler video (by Bomfunk MCs).
They just look really silly now

I prefer in-ear earphones... They're more discreet, although they nacker your ear after a while. I might think about getting something between the two, if they're comfortable to wear and don't stand out too much...

I've got a MP3/CD player (Acmlmers with long memories may remember I asked about them, well I bought one and it works out great!). I'm thinking of upgrading to a Mp3 Jukebox soon. The Ipod seems very expensive, I think you pay for the name more than anything else. I'll probably get a Rio Karma, as I like the look of it and it can play OGG files, which is what I get from some Torrents.

Jesper - I really think we're doing a bad job of marketing the iPod's in Canada. The things are under lock and key and it took me 15 minutes wandering around Future Shop's music section to find one.

Of course, you'd figure that they'd be cheap if they're so hard to find, but no...

Jesper: I forget, it just does. Either way, it's cheaper and presumably a little more user-friendly (service-wise, not usage... it'll be hard to top Apple there).

Kasumi: You mean that wasn't just one overblown Sony ad? Think about it... MD player, headphones, CD player, PSX controller ()... yeesh. We get it. He likes Sony. And yeah, the buds I'm using now start to hurt. I thought I had them in wrong, but maybe not. The clip ones might work.

Since my Discman, second Discman with RW-Compatiblity and the Walkman gave out on my, I use the portable think I use the most often.
It stores up to 90mins in a good quality. And plays every Game Boy Game made to date.

And the two AA Batteries last for up to 30 hours. Beat that with your MP3 or MD with standard batteries (Intern Akkus don't count!)

And I got no Stereo, only Suround. Thanks to Panasonic. And there is my PC hooked up, with my 40'000 of Soundfiles in Winamp!

And iTunes is 3vil!

After I've tried iTunes I've realized that 80% of all music players are just mostly nonsense. In Winamp you get this tiny playlist window and you have to load separate files all the time. In iTunes and other programs with half a clue you just pick a couple of artists, genres or albums (or any combination thereof) and hit play and there's nothing else to it.

Wasn't it Winamp, also, that had the exploit a few days back? I really think Winamp is one of the better music players function-wise, especially since it plays video too, but there's a lot of useless skins and plugins and shit out there, plus it makes these things possible.

I think they did a huge iPod campaign in Toronto a few weeks back, but I hope that doesn't mean they'll only be easy to find there. And ofcourse, Apple's products are ALWAYS hard to find in stores. They're always in some corner and noone working there has half a clue about anything mac-related. That's why they started the Apple Stores, after all.

The Plugin makes listening to SPCs, NSFs, SIDs and other formats possible.

And iTunes just renamed and moved all my mp3s, incl. all OCRemixes.
No I can't just browse my OCRemixes with other programms. And the Winamp Play list just works fine for me.

And If I wanted to use one like iTunes has to offer, I want to have it displayed a little bit different, like the collums in different orders (Doesn't work). Also doesn't iTunes feature title updates from Shoutcast Internetradios.

Jesper: I'm talking about batteries and such. That and I'd want to have my entire collection (almost 450 CD's, plus about ten CD's of MP3's, AND about thirty albums I need to rip) with me, and I dunno that an iPod would be big enough. But whatever, I'm cheap.

My portable music collection is a Panasonic disc player.

At home I have an Aiwa micro-system and my X-Box.
