So, which one's better?
If you haven't at least tried both handhelds, don't vote.

GTAA only loads once in my PS2. I can play it for other 4327809237 hours without loading.

I bought a ds and i've had no problems with it. i have read the psp has got a whole novel of problems and im not willing to fork out the money for somthing that sounds a bit dodgy to me. No the DS is far superior.

Here's a tip, actually ask someone who has one next time. Both I've seen have been perfectly fine, and have zip problems.

I was skeptical too, but believe me, every one I've seen has had no problems. It's not as bad as they make it out to be (yes, the Japan one had problems, but those were fixed before the US release)

I agree with Xkeeper. I believe the PSP is way better personally. I always been a Sony fan though. I like both but in the end...

Wouldn't it technically be more accurate to say you're a fan of Sony's second and third party supporters? Seeing as Sony doesn't make very many games.

Alright. As a device, PSP wins. I know what said before, but this is actually true.

PSP:

- Plays UMD Movies and movies from the computer.
- Plays MP3 and ATRAC files
- Is a JPG viewer.
- 3D graphics that are a bit below a PS2.
- Strong 2nd and 3rd party support.
- Big screen.
- Analog nub.
- 10-hour battery life max for audio, 4-6 for games, 2 for movies. Remember, this depends on the backlight and WiFi as well.
- WiFi

However, let's look at its features, and strip it down to a bare minimum gaming handheld, ala Nintendo's style.

- Plays UMD Movies and movies from the computer.
- Plays MP3 and ATRAC files
- Is a JPG viewer.

- 3D graphics that are a bit below a PS2.
- Strong 2nd and 3rd party support.
- Big screen.
- Analog nub.
- 10-hour battery life max for audio, 4-6 hours for games, 2 for movies. Remember, this depends on the backlight and WiFi as well.
- WiFi

Now it's more comparable to the DS. Let's compare!

- Two Screens
- Touch Screen
- Stereo sound/virtual surround.
- Microphone
- Strong 1st party support
- Battery life of about 10 hours with backlight on and WiFi.
- Wifi
- Built-in wireless chat with other DSs.
- Downloading games from other DSs.
- Game Boy Advance compatiable (This greatly expands its library of games)
- Strong 2nd and 3rd party support.
- 3D graphics just above the N64.

Now, as a gaming system, the DS wins all. Gadget-wise, the PSP wins. See, don't you feel better now?

I still fail to see how 2 screens makes it better.
This image describes what I think about 2 screens. (if you don't get it, it means it's goddamn annoyning)

You can have a whole GBA-sized screen for gameplay, and the other for some info. It's better than making one big one and running a line through the middle.

I'd rather keep everything in one screen (or putting it in a pause menu) than have to look to another screen. =/

Whatever are the hardware issues, PSP is much better than DS. I see the Nintendo DS as a Nintendo64 handheld version - yes, it is. Sony could release PSP2 in a few "years" with backwards compatibility.

I don't play to buy a DS. I would buy a PSP, but since my money is VERY short... Long life my PSOne / Gamecube / GBA!
