| OOC: And let us begin, everybody! Remember, ALL posts must be done in RP format now. If they are not, they are ignored. If you must say something out of character, put "OOC:" and type. Here we GO!! Fireworks and confetti litter the sky around a large dome in the Mushroom Kingdom... a recently constructed one, which holds today as it's own Grand Opening... along with the beginning of the very first Mushroom Battle Tournament to ever be held in all of the Mushroom Kingdom. Everybody is hanging outside the Dome, of all species-- Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Blooper, Boo, Bandit, Shyguy-- ALL of them-- along with creatures from other worlds excited to see the event, like Waddle Dee, Moblins and even some Metroids. Excitement is the word here outside Mushroom Dome... but the social atmosphere falls silent as a man dressed in white, loose clothes and a black blindfold, hands flaring with blue etheral energy, takes the podium, clears his throat, and begins to speak. "Greetings, everybody." The crowd responds in a Greetings from many kinds of languages and at slightly different moments, making the sound of a small chaotic roar. "I am Schwa, Psi Warrior and Embodyment of Good, here at the stand in front of you today... It is my great honor to announce the opening of the Mushroom Battle Tournament, today. When they gave me this job, I had a dream... A dream that all of you see right before your very eyes behind me today! Ladies and Gentlemen... The Mushroom Dome is complete, and the Tournament... will now BEGIN!!" A tremendous cheer rises from the whole crowd. It dies down soon, as Schwa seems to have more to say. "I have sorted out the coins of the four Teams, and will now display them. The coins from each Team member have combined into a Total for each Team, and Teams with only two members get a bonus added to their total, to match it up to the equivelent of 3 members. Also, each Team has been given 350 extra Coins from all the people who have dropped out, but the coins will be returned to their rightful owners after we're done with the Tourney. Here is the Coin Results-- look carefully! A hologram shoots out of the podium, displaying the coin status of all teams. Team A: 845C Team B: 1220C Team C: 765C Team D: 675C "Here is the way battle will work. Each Round consists of 2 battles, and there are 3 Rounds total, so each Team will battle each other Team one time. But first, let us introduce the four Mushroom Tournament Fighters! They are still warming up in the locker rooms, so here is the data for all of you to see! Don't worry, everyone can have a look eventually." Holograms come up around the podium, of Fighter data.  Team A: RaidenSpecies: Bandit, Thunder Age: 24 Gender: Male Bio: Raiden is a Bandit with special electrical powers, using his skill to fight in the Glitz Pit. He has been fighting for 4 years, but his career was jeopardized once during the Championship battle vs. Rawk Hawk himself. Raiden was about to deliver the finishing blow when Rawk pulled off a sleazy attack, grabbing the rafters and yanking portions of the ceiling into the Bandit. The injured Raiden was taken to the hostpital, where MarioMaster, Luigi fan and fabio, his biggest fans, sat nearby and hoped for a fast healing. Unfortunately, Rawk decided to chase him to the hostpital and finish him off for good, in case he'd ever come back. The three fans protected the recovering Raiden just long enough, and Rawk was forced to retreat to his secret workout room. (Coinsidentally, Bowser was waiting for him there...) Raiden thanked his three fans and they all became good friends, and thanks to the trio's effort, Raiden was able to return to the ring after a few weeks.  Team B: BarneyType: X-Naut, Scout Age: 34 Gender: Male Bio: Barney the X-Naut was a brilliant soldier of Grodus back when Grodus was trying to dominate the Crystal Stars; specifically, a scout, dressed in different colors for camoflauge purposes. He did field work in the Great Tree in Boggly Woods, then was asked to run an assignment on a south-sea island, searching for a Crystal Star. His girlfriend was named Mileva and they seemed to be in love. But when Mario trounced the X-Naut base on the moon, all his fellow soldiers, including Mileva, died. After arriving back in Rougeport, Barney heard about the cataclysmic destruction of the base, and was overcome in grief. Barney sought refuge in the Beanbean Kingdom, slowly rebuilding a new life and vowing to get his revenge on Mario. He singlehandedly built an underground laboratory and a wide assortment of gadgets, including a laser rifle (the idea came from a chat he had with Mileva before leaving for the island), grenades, and many kinds of potions (as well as tons of other random tools and gizmos, aka. fan, flashlight, wrench). One day, he heard about the Tournament's coming, and decided to sign up to test his mettle. Once there, he coincidentally met up with three others who had the same goal as Barney; crush Mario. They formed a team of 4, and decided that Barney would represent them in the Tournament battles, for he was the most vengeful of them all. "Mileva... I'll never forget you..." Full Bio by Sukasa  Team C: TwisterType: Bristle, Storm Age: Unknown Gender: Male Bio: Twister is one of three Storm Bristles who guard an ancient floating castle. Each of the Storm Bristles excel in different skills, Gale being speed and Strike being power and electricity... Twister excels in wind attacks, and has limited electric and flight capabilities. The three ancient Bristles have guarded the place since nearly forever, but not a soul intruded on their castle territory... One day, a lone Magikoopa approached them. They were about to attack, but the Magikoopa insisted he meant no harm, and had come to tell them of a Tournament he wanted to enter them in. The three Bristles conversed, and decided that Twister would represent him in the Tourney. It would be pointless for them to risk losing their finest soldier. Team D: Awaiting confirmation "Okay, guys, come on in, but don't crowd the place too badly. It's a big Dome, though, so you should all be fine! Huzzah!" Schwa leaps straight up and does a triple backflip in midair, then proceeds to enter the Dome. Many people pile in after him. The architectural structure of the Dome is awesome-- there's balconies, spiral stairs that connect them, metal beams for decoration, and many hallways with lots of doors! The place is even fancier than the Glitz Pit, though not as 'golden' inside, instead there are cool colors such as blue and green and teal. Everyone is talking to each-other and having a good time, and many characters have taken to explore the whole building. There's a poster in the main lobby stating who's battling who, but it hasn't been completed yet. A sign nearby says, "Please allow a few days for the battles to be set. Thank you." There are also stores inside the dome, a total of two to be exact! They're right across from each-other, and look very different from each-other. One of them has many items on shelves...  ...and the other one has many large, high-tech capsules that look like teleporters. A closer look shows a poster inside.  Many things are going on... MANY things... Whomever is active enough will find TONS of things to do and explore! Talking to people nearby and checking out the Dome would be a wise thing to do, and now would also be the perfect time for Tourney participants to get to know their Fighters. Meanwhile, near the top of the building where Schwa's office sits, a puzzled Psi Warrior paces his office. "Gah! Where the heck did I put that freakin' paper? I hope I don't have to ask someone for help, 'cause that would REALLY make me look bad... Ayeieieie!" He rubs the sides of his forehead in stressed agony. |

| Raccoon Flight found Raiden on the roof looking toward the sky. He couldn't wait for the storm. Raccoon Flight walked up slowly to him. Raiden already knew he was there without looking. "A rough storm is coming. That means tough compition this year. I hope it doesn't end up lik--" "Please don't bring up that, Raiden. Rawk Hawk was a violent one, wanted fame more then anything else." Raiden looks at Raccoon Flight, in a serious way. "I don't know.... I feel as if we are going to be hurt." Raccoon Flight attempted to cheer him up with some happy words. "Let's get Luigi fan and Fabio to meet the other teams. Maybe that will take your mind off Ra-- I mean.....things." Raccoon Flight and Raiden walk to team C. Willing to meet them. | "Ah, laddie, you don't know the half of it," the gruff Merc Keeper explains to DM. "I set this shop up in all kinds of places, sometimes Tournaments, sometimes not. Last one was a Tournament on Planet Zebes... Tough crowd. Bah, the bastards just wanted the fame and cash, that's all... It may not look like it, but I have a heart deep under this fur and blubber. So! That was a Hammer Bro and Boomerang Bro? Let's see... Step into this capsule, right here." He opens the door of the pill-shaped transporter-thing. Schwa looks thoughtful. "So you'd like to help me find the paper? Okay, here's the deal... I didn't get to my office through the main hallway. I took the long route and stopped by the Food Court downstairs first, on the left side of the building. I had the paper tucked in my white belt, but it obviously slipped out along the way. That paper had the Battle Results for R1-1 and R1-2 listed on it. Look for it if you must, but if you happen to look at the writing, don't tell anyone else until the results are on the main poster in the lobby. Thanks, thanks, g'bye." Schwa is just about to head back into his office, when Raccoon Flight and Raiden stop by. Schwa turns to them for a moment. "More combatants? Cool... Oh, you're Raiden, right? Okay, got it... If either of you need anything, rules or ideas or whatever, drop by my office. Now, 'scuse me but I am a helluva busy Psi Warrior." He heads back into his office, just in time to answer a phone call. | MM dashed into the shop and looked for any trace of the bandit. then he noticed a single coin on the floor. It was a trail of coins! He followed them, picking up coins on the way. Finally, he found a small tunnel. He crawled through until he found the red bandit. "Aha! Gimme back those coins!" "Never!" cried the bandit. "I stole these fair an' square, alright? They's are mine!!" "Oh yeah? Well... TIDAL WAVE!!!!!" The whole room filled with water. The bandit looked like he was done for, but then...
