Every 15 posts here, I'll put a new chapter. Okay? Here we go...

PROLOGUE
Thunder crashes as Lightning illuminates the scene set before him. Spikes the colour of puss stand feet above their anchoring shell. The shell is green like bright sea algae in the morning sun. Under the shell is not water though. Orange scales flex and rub as the huge behemoth rises to its feet again. Long claws stretch and contract as the monster checks for injuries or problems. Beady red eyes look up and focus ahead on the creatures target. An evil essence makes the Red Eyes dance with glee, each eye pirouetting, flipping, settling before starting again in concert with the opposite one. The flames contained in each socket reveling in the destruction, pain and agony the Creature promises to unleash.

A huge snout opens and closes. Fangs, as long as spears, reflect the brilliant blue lightning, giving the snout an other-worldly glow. He feels that if he were to fall behind those fangs, he would find himself trapped in a universe that was not his, which he could not escape from.

Slowly, Mario opened his eyes. where am I...? he thought.

"Mario..? Are you awake?" It was peach. She had enlisted two of the mushroom retainers to carry mario to her castle, where they had plopped him right in bed. "That last battle really took a lot out of you." She continued.

"urg... My head hurts." replied Mario, before slumping back to sleep. Peach giggled slightly, Mario yet again stating the obvious. he had fallen right onto a rock!

Luigi sat nearby, worrying his head off. For the last few hours, all Mario had done was sleep. Crazy brother. Why didn't he wait for me...? he thought, before streching out on the floor and drifting off to sleep...

OFF: Actually... I think that this is a story in which nobody is supposed to participate. We're supposed to post comments and if there's enough of them, the thread's owner will post an extra chapter for the story.

Well... I think that it is the case...

Yeah, and Koopa Myster told me that this was someone else's work, too. *shrugs*

It doesn't sit too well with me that it belongs to someone else, and he doesn't even remember who to give credit to. I'd kick it over to Modern Art, but I'm sure it won't sit well over there either. So... I'm gonna close this.
