Yeah, it may not make sense from a physical point of view, but Nintendo designed the walls with gameplay in mind. Just think how hard it would be to find the doors and such with that wall shown the way it should be.

BTW, i have some great news. ALL THE DUNGEONS ARE 100% complete... The last one has been completely debugged as of today.

this is a bit ridiculous, all over the placement of a torch. Seriously. Nintendo didn't do anything about it and neither shall we. Why? Because it's not a problem.

and yes all the dungeons are complete. YIPPIE

Not for real games, but something like this, a Rom Hack, or maybe a Translated game (i.e. Seiken Densetsu 3).

have a look at my page, then:
http://snesdev.romhack.de

there are several step-by-step guides on how to assemble snes cartridges from roms.
for zelda 3, you'd proceed just like treasure hunter g (well, unless you convert the whole game to hirom like i did, but i havent touched my zelda 3 files for ages. )

its not that hard, actually.

The only problem is it doesn't seem like I'd be able to put SD3 on a ntsc cart, would I?

Hopefully there is a way, regardless, those tutorials are nice, and I'll probably try this out once I can get my hands on a few extra cartridges or something.

ntsc and pal carts are the same technically.
the differences are the security chip used and the cart housing, but the pcb layout is exactly the same, that means you can use my guide to build ntsc games aswell.

btw, you cant use any cart to make zelda, thats bullshit.(someone a couple of posts above this one suggested that)

you can use any LOROM cart with the appropriate amount of sram.
the majority of games are lorom so you can use a lot of carts, but you cant use all, mind you.

^^ That's your site!? Awsome, I found it some time ago, but I haven't gotten the chance to invest in an eprom burner yet. It's a great site. But how come you have to use so many chips? Why couldn't you use a single eprom with more memory?

that is yet to be known.

At this point we are now porting, finishing graphics, adding asm, and fixing everything that needs fixing.

But thanks for asking.

This game does look like it has potential. I heard some music was also being composed for the game. Will the new music make it into the final game?

Indeed, the music will make it in if all goes well. Its sounding really great and origional.

We are on the home stretch, and i hope to have it out before the summer is up. There is still a lot left to do because of the music, gfx, and asm, but its looking great.

indeed, the music will kick ass.

Funny how this hack went from 2 guys making levels and shit. To 5!!! team members all working on their own aspects on the game.

Dude, they've said 500 times they don't know the exact date! Omega is HOPING for the end of summer. But they really don't know. geez, there's like 2 of those questions per page, and they all are answered with "DUNNO" so don't you people think you could just figure it out and stop asking? I'm sure Omega and Dude Man were thinking almost the same thing that I just said

Haha, i am indeed hoping for an end of summer release. Especially with dudeman getting off of school soon, we will have much more time to work on it. In the final stage, communication is critical. We will need to put together both the overworld and dungeons in the correct fashion, and while that may not seem to complicated, just think how many entrances/exits there are, and they all must fit together perfectly.

oh man *shudders* thats about 150 entrances right there. Although many of the dungeon entrances work fine so it'll be a matter of using the same entrance over again.
And finding exits isn't hard either.
