This is an area that needs more attention than others. I know that if something is spam to give a warning or close it. The ability to spot inappropriate things and a lot of free time make this an area to excel in. I would like to reduce the amount of spam, and make it more appropriate, without taking away the joy that is posting. To be a member of a community where being random is neccessary it's kind of hard not to venture into that forum. A lot of people in the past have bitched and complained about things like, "oh there is too much spam" and such. I haven't seen them do anything about it. We have Full Mods, Locals, and Admins AND it's to spammy? Something has to be wrong. Some examples of what I call spam would be 1.http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=12862&ppp=50&page=0#248885 2.http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=12862 3.http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=12944 4.http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=12879 Ok so the reason I think #1 is spam is becuase as the thread states, "What is your favorite number and why?". Legion just put some asshat number in the reply box, and then he said just becuase it is. #2 is actually more or less the whole thread becuase it contains many one lined posts and some just stupid things in there. #3 I couldn't make heads or tails out of the threads meaning by the first few posts. Even after reveiwing it the whole thread is shit. Ok I'll admit #4 has meaning but the first post contains a one liner that doesn't even describe the artical. It provides minor insight into what the artical is about but wouldn't a (short) summary be better? Maybe my judgement was a little harsh but isn't it better to have a few posts of quality than thousands of shitty ads? Ok so now you guys know a bit about what I stand for, how about you see what I have previously done?
