Area of expertise: Art stuff. Role-playing stuff.

Skills: Photoshopping skills, and spriting skills, and role-playing skills, and drawing skills...

Highest Obtained power level: Erm... Wait, here or elsewhere? Here, Local Mod. Elsewhere, Admin.

Forum(s) to Moderate and why : Modern Art and Story Forum. Besides them being my main forums of interest and/or areas where my talents lay, I certainly have plenty of experience moderating both. I originally became Modern Art Moderator during a time when Sarev0k started becoming inactive, and replaced him when he effectively left. I remained in that position until shortly after the first major staff reconstruction, when a couple other capable users were also assigned to the forum. Feeling I was in something of a "too many cooks in the kitchen" scenario, I requested a transfer to the Story Forum. At the time, there was already a decent amount of moderators for the SF, but they weren't all fully active, and it is a mighty large forum. More recently, I've also been re-appointed my position as moderator of Modern Art, which had been left staffless for a while.

Recommendations: Kirbynite, Teddylot, Taryn, Elric, Grey, more coming as I get them, I guess.

Damnit, Jim! I'm a moderator, not an English major! I refuse to write four ten-sentence paragraphs on the grounds of essay writing having nothing to do with ones ability as a moderator. And quite frankly, I couldn't write an essay to save my life, about my life and why it should be saved. Or about anything. No essay writing for me, thank you, sir. I should hope that you left that in by accident and that it was only meant for the admins. If you didn't, too bad, I'm not writing one anyway.

Area of expertice: Spriting, Music Hacking, generaly knowledgable about the serious inner workings of games

Skills: I can sprite quite efficiently in most game spriting styles, I can hack the music for several game engines (numerous platforms), and am also adept at technical electronic knowledge--what makes stuff tick, wether hardware or software based. I also assisted in the codeing of Elitemap, the leading editor package for Pokemon Advanced series.

Highest Obtained power level: Normal User

Forum(s) to Moderate and why : Pokemon Hacking. I'm hardly as qualified as someone like Dhark Daiz to moderate the entire world of Rom Hacking, but when it comes to the Pokemon games, I REALLY know my stuff. I have a vast understanding of what makes Pokemon games tick...and not just the advanced series, I have hacked NUMEROUS Pokemon games and have honed my skills at another now non-existant forum. I know extensively the music format used in these games, and I have a knack for creating graphics for this game's style. In addition to assisting in the codeing of EliteMap during an earlier build, I am also in the process of one of the most extensive Pokemon hacks to date (save perhaps Pokemon Obsidian).

Recommendations: HyperHacker, Iggy Koopa, interdpth, Monstaa, Skateboarder11, Someguy, Yoronosuku, few others pending (will add ASAP)

Reasons you think you will be a good mod: As far as my actual moderation qualities go, I'm very knowledgable and am willing to help people who ask nicely (as in, not like OMG HOW 2 HAX THT) with any question they may have. I am frequently on AIM and you could always catch me there if needed. I also can help clean that forum up quite a bit. There's alot of crap that goes on in there, and the forum is often overlooked by the rest of the board simply because of the morons it can tend to attract. However, I feel I could help give a little more order, and help reform that forum and make it so Pokemon hacks aren't only seen by the people who frequent that forum--as in, the rest of the rom hackers will actualy WANT to take time to look at people's hard work and not have to shift through 8 pages of "UR SPRIET SUX LOL DEI". Alot of talented people are overlooked just because people don't want to take the time to look through there. I hope to change this

I in no way intend or even wish to replace Kawa. Working beside my friend in that forum would only make my job that much more enjoyable. And if for whatever reason Kawa does not continue his fine job there, I would happily assume full responsibiliy and take great care of his forum. I just want to make the forum better for all, and I sincerly thank you for giving me the opportunity to apply for a chance at that.

Name: Anthony R., but I'm known as Banedon.
Age: 17 Earth years.
Sex: Male.
Area of expertice: Mario, some retro videogames, programming, computers, talking about inane stuff like rubber chickens.
Skills: I have some knowledge in several programming languages, including C, Java, PHP, HTML, and SQL. I was a romhacker for a while, so I know the basics of romhacking. I am creating a PHP/MYSQL-based message board system which is currently in Beta 2. I also own a website about the videogame series King's Quest.
Highest Obtained power level: Administrator (at The Ultimate Nintendo Message Board and TEK Hacks), Full Moderator (Black Lord's board), Local Moderator (Miraged Discussion and several others). I have never been higher than a regular user at Acmlm's.
Forum(s) to Moderate and why : OK, here we go: (I don't expect to get all of these, they are just the possibilities)
Super Mario Series - I've played Mario since I was about 2, and I'm still a huge Mario fan. I know pretty much every detail of the NES games, and a lot about the SNES games too. I make a lot of posts in this forum, and I would be able to help people with completing Mario games.
Programming - As I stated above, I know several programming languages, and am learning more about programming every day. I know a lot more now than I did when I first registered here.
Hardware/Software - I'm good with computers, both old and new, and am familiar with both Windows and Linux. I will be going to college in a few months to learn even more about computers.
Newbie Forum - I like to welcome all the newbies, so I visit this forum frequently.
Help and Suggestions - I check this board somewhat often, and I don't think too many people will be signing up for it.

Recommendations: skateboarder11, Kasumi-Astra

OK, now for the paragraphs.

I am Banedon, formerly known as comm128. I first registered at Acmlm's in March of 2002, which means I've been around here for quite a while. I have a good idea as to what is and is not acceptable behavior at Acmlm's Board. I know that certain events within the past year or so have made me rather unpopular here, but I recognize that I was wrong and would like to remain an active member of Acmlm's in the future. 2004 was a weird year for me online, and I was going through a lot of stress, and I kinda got fed up with certain members. I would use TEK as a place to complain, and as a result a lot of TEK members have a low opinion of me. I would like to put all this behind me and just have fun posting at Acmlm's again.

I have never held a staff position at Acmlm's board, but I have been staff at several other message boards. My first staff experience was as a Local Moderator at Miraged Discussion in June of 2002. I was a Moderator, Global Moderator, and then an Administrator at The Ultimate Nintendo Message Board, where I would enforce the rules, make sure threads were in the right forum, and I banned two obvious lamers. I was also a Local Moderator, and later a Full Moderator, at Black Lord's board. At TEK Hacks, I was an Administrator of the Nin-Triad portion of the board, and a Local Moderator of the TEK portion. I have also held various staff positions at other boards, and have had a few of my own boards. I am creating a message board system, called board32, which should be ready by the beginning of June.

My activity at Acmlm's has been rather intermittent lately, but if I was a moderator, I would be on every day (unless maybe I was on vacation and had no Internet access). I would visit my assigned forum or forums regularly and watch for violations of the rules. I will take my job seriously, just a I have taken all my previous staff jobs seriously. I believe that being a moderator is a responsibility, and not just a white username and access to a couple of hidden forums. (Well, it's that too, but it's first and foremost a responsibility.) Believe me, I have been around long enough to know when to use my moderating powers. I won't do stupid things like close a thread because I don't like the person who posted it.

I have explained above why I would be a good choice for any one of the forums I have selected. I am a reasonably active member of Acmlm's board, and have pretty much stuck with it for a long time. I don't keep in contact with too many of you via AIM, but you are welcome to contact me if you like. I don't use "Allow only" lists or anything like that. My AIM name is listed in my profile.

In conclusion, I hope you will give me a chance at being a staff member. I hope that I can make Acmlm's board a better place by being a part of the staff. I certainly believe that I can handle the job.

Skills:I have been romhacking for so many years since 2000. I used to be a proud supportive of many other programs in the past but only supports Elitemap nowadays. I have hacked many other pokemon games and some others such as Digimon and Telefang. I also want to help any newbies, especially these annoying immature newbies with there question - details/quality is all depends on the user. If the user is very immature and never learn, he/she will get a poor answer like if he/she asks "How do I hex?" My answer will be "Get a hex editor and figure it out yourself with the use of their help files!" Heck, why noone ever read help files, the programmers provided?

Well, I may as well.

Name: Jake P. (Tamarin Calanis, Cheveyo Chowilawu, Shadowflare, etc.)
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Skills: Well, I'm an RPer and Simbattler elsewhere, I play videogames a lot, and I have plenty of experience moderating things...
Forums to mod: Debate, General Gaming. I feel that I can close threads for flames without misinterpreting somethign that's really just a disagreement (Debate), and I visit General Gaming daily.
Highest powerlevel: None here, admin at Antireality and Xeogaming, Local Mod at TEK Hacks, in addition to running a Simbattle/RPing board.
Recommendations: I got nine votes in the New Staffer thread, but all I know is Randy and Windwaker. And Elric. And Googie/Myster Mask
Paragraphs: I can't make guarantees on length, but here goes.

I am Cheveyo, Tamarin, Jake, whatever you want to call me. I joined Acmlm's in February of 2003 (I think), and boy was I a newbie back then. I've learned from my mistakes, and know the boundaries of the rules now, having had to enforce them at numerous other boards. In my time running a board for two years and counting, I've learned tolerance for newbies as well as how to spot people that could be problematic. In my time as an admin at AR and XG, I learned how to cooperate with other staff. And also in my time at XG, I've learned that sometimes staff must be demoted for the good of the board - more on that in the next paragraph.

I was not the original person in charge of the Simbattle Board (could the name get more generic?). I worked my way up from normal user, and took over when the board owner left, and I've kept the place alive (if only on life support) for two years. Similarly, I started as a normal user at Xeogaming, but was promoted to Local Mod and later Admin. I did my job, but apparently someone didn't like me. The board got hacked, I got framed, I was eventually absolved of blame, but I was kept off staff so the hacker wouldn't return. Up to the point of the hacking, I did my job to the best of my ability, and I'm sure that Xeogred would agree. I was also an admin at AR, under different circumstances; Simbattle needed a new host, and Randy offered. Still, while I disagreed with almost all the staff there, I did what I could to help the entire board.

My activity at Acmlm's is not setting post records, but I do post daily, and I read more threads than I post in. I feel it's better to not post often and have every post be meaningful than to be a spam monster. I have had past problems with staff here, getting myself a three-day ban, but that was long ago. As far as I can tell, I haven't pissed anyone off yet this time around, and I aim to keep it that way. I have finished school, and I have no job (a problem I aim to fix soon), so nothing would interfere with my moderation duties if you chose me.

I know these paragraphs don't meet the requested 10 sentences per paragraph, but this was the best I could do without resorting to unnecessary filler.

Edits: Added Elric and Googie to Recommendations.

Forum(s) to Moderate and why:

1. Sim-Battle Arena.
As Grey has applied for full moderator and, thus may become one, his time set aside for the Sim-Battle Arena may end up being splintered. I'm not looking to replace him, but I am looking to split his workload in the forum. Although the forum seems simple enough, the workload associated with it is nothing to scoff at. Of course, there is always the keeping in line of spammers who like to haven themselves in the forum. It has been home to a quite a few currently banned members, if you don't believe. However, most of the work lies with keeping up with vast numbers of fights that keep popping up. These fights may be interesting, lengthy, and well-written. They can also become controversial (which has been occurring recently) and eventually may lead to nice, long flames. There's also making sure everyone adheres to the rules. If I am appointed moderator of the Sim-Battle Arena, I plan on working with Grey to keep it, which include the events and fights, running nice and smoothly. I will also help Grey reform the current rules, so that they may be strict to prevent unfairness, but also flexible in order to invite differing tactics and styles. I understand sim-battling quite well, and I can use my years of acquired experience in the moderating field.
I would like to moderate this forum because it's one of the three forums I visit regularly, and I'd like to help out in it as much as I can. Although I'm not that active when comes down to the nitty gritty of battling, but I still visit almost daily, and I participate in forum events such as the current Sim-Battle Tournament of which I serve as judge.

2. Story Forum.
Another one of the forums I visit daily and the forum I enjoy the most, but right now, it is not quite as needy as the Sim Arena. However, I would like to be part of it's moderating team, which looks over the several active stories which update almost daily; making sure there is no spam and just as importantly, no discontent. The reason is, truly, because I would like to keep the Story Forum clean and in smooth running order. I also have a few ideas to try and make it more active, such as the brewing Story Forum Awards and possible forum events such as a sequel to the past's Story Forum Survivor. I have developed quite well as a writer in that forum, and I'm confident that I can provide the work it needs.

3. Brain Teasers.
Finally, the final forum I am interested in moderating and the third of the three forums I visit most often. Just as the case is for Grey, this forum's moderator, the NSNick, is running for another position, this time as administrator. I would like to support the forum and its current staff to keep it running smoothly. I have provided my share of brain teasing to the forum with my own MindTrap game which ran successfully at the beginning of the board's restart. I think I can provide even more fun to the forum with a few new ideas for games, and just in general keeping it clean and well-oiled.

Recommendations: Grey, Kirbynite, JDavis, NSNick.

I always have tons of questions here. So, I'll know when a post is spamlike. I'm not just a computer gamer. Another love of mine is to take apart systems when they're having problems and find parts that'll fix them. I've made mistakes here before, but have the desire to be a leader and will do my best to keep this board trouble-free.

Highest Obtained power level: Here? Normal User. Elsewhere, I've been an admin, full mod and local mod on the FFVII Citadel board.

Forum(s) to Moderate and why :
Anya's forum
- ALthough I may seem unsited for this because I'm male, this is the forum I hang about on the mosyt and I dispense advice and guidance to the people there. I also get on well with Anya herself and if I was promoted, I would try my best to lead by example.

Officer's club
- I hang about on here less often, but it is the second forum suited to a person with my attitude and experience.

Recommendations: Anya, Taryn, NSNick and Kasumi . Emuz and Acmlm probably don't even know I exist, and I prefer to let my reputation and posts do the talking rather than have a dozen people think I'd be good for the job - I'd like to think I'm well liked and in the end it's the opinions of the Admins that matteras they're the only ones who can promote others, don't they? I've just added some people willing to reccomend me though, as I asked them nicely, with a cherry on top

Reasons you think you will be a good admin, what you plan to accomplish as an admin.

I think I'd be a good moderator because I'm fair, and I'm willing to listen to others. There are always half a dozen sides to all stories, and althogh it's sometimes nessecary to be firm, you can also be fair with it. I have leadership experience in RL now, at work and I find the best thing a leader I can do is to give reasons for their decision. Although people won't always agree with it - more will accept a reasoned decision instead of a rash one.

In the past I have had to do unpleasent things - I have warned and the subsequently banned individuals as a last resort as they refused to change their ways, and I have also been banned myself as a result of my behaviour. I believe that having been on both sidws -it gives me an insight to the mindset of what people go through. I know this seems pretty psychologically deep for 'just' a message board, but it helps a Mod do their job more efficiently.

I have a sense of humour! So many mods I've met over the years lack the valuable trait. After all how can someone 'live the fun posting experience' if they're unwilling to have fun themselves. Posting on a MB and even moderating one can be a lot of fun, and sometimes people forget that. That said there is a limit to having fun,. and when it spills over into unpleasentness you have to spring into action. I'd like to think I've become adept at spotting this moment, when fun becomes harassment.

So in conclusion then, whatI'd like to achieve as a moderator is to foster a feeling of fun, openess and promnote a safe posting environment where people can post without fear of harassment, flaming and reprisals - as long as they're not inflamatory themselves. I'd be firm but fair, and I'd lead by example by having a good time, whilst not letting things getr out of hand.

Thank you for your time.

Skills: I can read. I have various other skills that have no use for staff. I'm applying to mod General Chat, I don't know what you want to see here. I can detect sarcasm well?

Highest level: Local mod. I've been higher on other boards, but that shouldn't matter, and I don't know why other people are listing their positions on places outside of Acmlm's Board.

Forum to Moderate and why: General Chat. I'm currently local mod there. I know what's appropriate and what isn't, and I enjoy checking out that forum.

Recommendations: ||bass, Legion, Yiffy Kitten, Toxic, knuck, drjayphd, Trapster, Elric, Hiryuu. I'm not going to go around asking for any, but if you read this and want to give a recommendation, drop me a PM.

Reasons: I use common sense. I've been around for a while, I know how to moderate the forums here. I'm pretty sure nobody has a conflict with my being a mod.
I'm also sticking around. I've had a few absences from this place, and I recently returned from a long one. Too much internet and a lot of schoolwork wears me down. I've recently returned, and I now have that little break out of my system. Summer vacation is coming up, and I pretty much have no life, so my activity will greatly increase. I'm only applying for one forum so I can better focus my attention, and hopefully make a difference as a part of th is staff.

Skills: Ah, yes, skills. Um, I fairly knowledgeable when it comes to the '86-'96 period of video gaming history, I have basic HTML skills, and according to my teachers, I'm quite skilled in the beautiful form of art that is sarcasm (which may not be a useful skill here, but whatever). I also know how to moderate message boards, having done so for years. Of course, you already knew that, as this is one of the boards I've been modding.

Highest level: On Acmlm's, Local moderator of General Gaming, Final Fantasy, General Language, Story Forum and Mole Activities. On other boards, Full moderator.

Forums to Moderate and why:
-General Gaming: Video games have always been a huge interest of mine, and over the years I have become quite knowledgeable in that field. My area of expertise is, as already mentoined, the NES/SNES era, though I keep up with the current consoles (not computers, though. I've never been a computer gamer). The games themselves, and their gameplay in particular, have always been the most important aspect of gaming, but while I'm no system fanboy, I'll alwaysbe a Nintendo fan at heart.

-General Emulation: Well, I enjoy retro gaming, and emulators is an important part of the current retro scene, so I have some knowledge in that area as well.

Recommendations: max, Havok (?), Cymoro, Legion, Yiffy Kitten, Elric

Reasons you think you will be a good local mod, what you plan to accomplish as a local mod: Well, I've been a member of the board since day one, and I've been a member of the staff for years, so obviously I've been doing something right. I have moderating experience, both from this board and the official Nintendo message boards of Norway (those being this one and this one), and while the majority of members there aren't exactly rocket scientists, they are serious and official boards with thousands of members (the population of Norway is about 5 million, if anyone was wondering).

As I said, I've been here for a long time, I'm a well-known and, as far as I know, well-liked member, and while I may not be the most out-going member of all tim, I always consider whether or not an intended post will actually contribute someting to a discussion. And while I may not post all the time, know that I do at least read a lot of threads here (many times without logging in first. that's what happens when there are multiple computers in the house, with the easiest avaliable one (which also happens to be the newest one) being shared by multiple people.)

Now, as a number of you know, I'll be protecting my dear motherland by joining the army this summer, and while it may seem a bit silly to apply for an online job just a few months before this happens, I still don't have any idea of what I'll actually be doing up north, nor what kind of online privilegies I'll have. I do hope I'll be able to spend time online (and I kinda doubt that I won't), but I won't be moderating the forums spammers tend to target anyway. Also, since I live in a different time zone than most staff, I'll be online when you aren't.

Hm, it's getting late. I'll guess I'll try to write more here later.

Area of expertise: NES and SNES ROM hacking, computer maintenance
Skills: 6502/65816 ASM, graphics, a little HTML
Highest obtained power level: Local mod of both ROM Hacking and SMW Hacking here at Acmlm's, and self-appointed admin at my own board. Was also appointed full mod at Shroomy's old AcmlmBoard right before it died, but I doubt that counts.
Forum(s) to moderate and why: Both ROM and SMW Hacking forums. ROM hacking is my thang, I've been doing it for 8 years or so.

Recommendations: Colleen, Elric, Yiffy Kitten, MathOnNapkins [awaiting response from Acmlm]

I would like to continue moderating the two main hacking forums because:

1. I have a very good understanding of ROM hacking in general. As I stated before, I've been doing it for about 8 years. I am knowledgeable enough to [at least attempt to] answer most questions that pop up, or point people in the right direction. I've provided lots of info and even some ASM hacks to the community. To successfully moderate a ROM hacking board, experience in the subject matter is a must.

2. I believe I have a pretty good reputation amongst the members of both forums, mainly SMW Hacking. I don't get into fights with people. Though I do admit I haven't had as much time to do so lately, I like to help others out as much as I can.

3. I have an insatiable desire to keep order (online, not in real life...har ). Left unsupervised, both forums quickly fall into disarray (as evidenced when FuSoYa disappeared for a long while), as they are easily the most active areas of the board. I feel I've done a pretty good job of keeping order alongside my fellow local mods. Problems have been dealt with satisfactorily and in a timely manner.

So...yeah. bmf4mod or something.

...ugh. Writing is really, really, really not my thing. I think I'll abruptly wrap up right here and update later if necessary.

Area of expertise: SMW hacking and ROM hacking in general; also C/C++ and assembler programming for x86 platforms, and just assembler for the 65c816 and Atmel AVR family microcontrollers. N-SPC, aka the music engine of most of the Nintendo-produced SNES games.

Skills: 65c816 assembler, graphics design, HTML, PHP, C, C++, x86 assembler, Windows API programming, DirectX stuff, file format hacking and some others that will stay unmentioned due to absolute non-relatedness to the position I am aiming for.

Highest Obtained power level: (here) Administrator, but that was done through making use of a security leak... does that count? It lasted about half an hour, then I managed to contact Acmlm and inform him, thus getting demoted in exchange for titleoption=1. If not, normal user. (elsewhere) Administrator, Co-owner, and a normal user several times.

Forum(s) to Moderate and why : SMW and ROM hacking, because both of them really need moderation. None of the boards at Acmlm's get flooded by asshats and spammers as frequently as these two. Also, I believe I can give good answers on many indepth questions coming up (especially the ones concerning SNES music, as this is my main area of qualification) and know to set priorities on what is actually important (=> the whole thing with too many stickies being up there, etc.).

Recommendations: Emuz, peter_ac, Juggling Joker, knuck, Smallhacker

The main reason why I want to do moderation on these two boards is that I somehow want to contribute. I mean, this board is absolutely unique when it comes to response time and the amount of actually useful information you receive upon posting a question. (If you know the eAthena (an RO server) support board, you understand what I am speaking of) I still remember how this wasn't a that well known place yet (with popularity, sadly, the amount of newly joining flamers increased as well) and how the discussions led in the romhacking related sections were actually niveauful ones. I think it is possible to raise the quality of discussion altogether by just keeping the amount of threads on the same topic under control and consequently react on board etiquette and FAQ violations, whereas consequently doesn't mean we should permaban any newbie who didn't act by the FAQ.
Also, I believe I have quite good understanding of ROM hacking and a more or less good reputation among the hacking community.
Another advantage of having me as a moderator is the circumstance that I am resident in a different time zone than most, if not all, of the staff members (GMT+1, or +2 in daylight savings time) and therefore can react on FAQ violations, flaming or whatever else requires moderation at times no or few other staff members are online.

Regards,
~blackhole89.

Age: 14

Area of expertise: Some ASM, a programming background in games so I can understand programming concepts, I have also worked a bit on understanding the various nuances of SMW's game engine. I am also good with Lunar Magic, and would be able to offer advice to those people who would need it.

Skills: Anger management, I can control any frustration I have and I like to think that I have kept my posts either emotionless or friendly and funny.
Highest Obtained power level: On a web board, a normal user. In grade 7 I was a lab supervisor at my elementary school, running its computer club.

Forum(s) to Moderate and why: Super Mario World Hacking, because while the four mods there are good, FuSoYa and BMF do not have the time to live there 24/7.
HH and JJ do try hard, but SMW hacking, by the numbers is the most active forum here apart from general chat, and I would like to be able to help out there, relieving the moderators already there, as well as allowing HyperHacker to allocate more time to the other forums he has applied to moderate.

Recommendations: HyperHacker, currently R2H2, Skateboarder11, RYjet911, awaiting PM back from both ||Bass and Acmlm either way.

Reasons you think you will be a good moderator, what you plan to accomplish as a Moderator:

As an SMW Hacking Forum Moderator, I would strive to make sure that people are able to get along nicely. In addition, I would be able to understand people on multiple levels, since I am a good reader, and am able to create ideas for other to work off of.

While I am relatively young, I have proven myself before as being good in this type of a situation, having supervised the computer lab at my elementary school when I was younger. Because of this, I feel that I do have some semblance of what goes on here, because many of the people at my elementary school did not wish to follow the rules without a real teacher present.

So far in high school, I have proven myself to be a very trustworthy student, helping out in many aspects of the school operations. I have also found and helped to eliminate a hole in the school's security, and am responsible for the marquee outside which alerts parents and students to school events and activates. My teachers know me to be a reliable student, as I help out whenever I can. I have also helped out on the announcements, setting a record as the only student under grade twelve to be on the announcements crew. Also, I helped start the school's Anti-Racism group, named WSTAR.

Here at Acmlm's Board, while I have only been here a few months, joining just after Christmas, I believe that I would make a good moderator because I am friendly, non-racist, and just plain would like to help out. Also, even if it doesn't show anymore, I did recently recieve 'Reinfors +', without spamming. I hope that you will consider me for this important position.

Areas of Expertise: If this involves jobs, then I do really well at bussing tables and seating parties. If not, then it involves computer skills. I can do stuff such as take apart/put together a computer, fix certain software problems, and inserting new cards (sound, graphic, etc.). I also do well with upgrading and driver stuff.

Skills: Writing, drawing, interactivity with others, respecting others' opinions

Highest Obtained Power: Well, when I was on Tek Hacks a very long while ago, I became an official member (could upload stuff and such), but other than that, I have only been a member. I am also an admin on my own message board, but nobody here won't see it, as it is a school message board that I created (if an admin needs a link, PM me and I will supply it to show you).

Forum to Moderate and Why: The Sim Battle Arena. I really would like to mod this forum because I prefer writing battle sequences then adding some plot. Although I can write good storylines, I write a whole lot better battle scenes. While trying to write good posts may take a little bit of time, I would rather make some really nice posts rather than a "William dodged and slashed at (name of enemy)." Instead, the line would probably go as follows:

William noticed the beam of fire head towards him, his own eyes blazing with anger from the already hot enviroment. He thought for a split second of how to dodge this beam, when he easily came up with the solution.

He ran towards the beam and at the last second he barrel rolled underneath the flaming attack. He singed the back of his shirt, but there wasn't any permanent damage done to William. After getting on his feet after the roll, he drew his sword and sliced up at his foe, cutting the ground up with his blade first. The attack would cut the right leg and head up to the left arm, causing a huge cut across the enemie's chest. If the attack missed, however, his back would be facing his attacking enemy.

If you require more reading of my battle skills, please look into my recent battles and notice the use of many of my various characters.

Also, I limit myself with using OOC comments. I would only use them to supply information to the combatant and to sometimes respond to the other member, telling them of what character I would use and sometimes the arena.

Recommendations: Grey, Toxic (Awaiting approval from Admin, Emuz/Acmlm) (Also, while regular members would recommend me, I feel that getting 20+ recommendations from them would clutter this, so I only tried to get recommendations from staff)

Reasons you think you will be a good mod + what to accomplish:
I have also been here for about a year or two, around Christmas of 2003, which I started as a simple want-to-know-how-to-do-what SMW hacker and now becoming a better member, but not becoming either too serious or too insane. I also never have been banned, a good thing in proving I adhere to the rules of the board. I would also not close threads or interupt things unless I either consult with the other mod to do so or it is necessary to intervene. I also would like to start up tournaments and/or participate in them. While other Sim-Battlers like to also use the story forum for character development, I weave my story within all my battles, making sure that any past experiences from previous battles.

Forum(s) to Moderate and why : Emulation and ROM-Hacking

I am currently a local moderator for ROM Hacking and Emulation. I am both a respected member here and through out the entire ROM Hacking community. When I make a decision that results in moderating either of said forums, it always goes unquestioned because fellow rom hackers respect my position and know that I retain good judgement. I know when a thread is headed for disaster and try to act quickly. My area of expertise also ensures that I have good judgement in what threads should be stickied and what threads should be closed due to excessive repeat of the same thread topic.

Also, I've actually directed quite a new members to this board. Whether traffic here is a priority or not, when new members come here for the ROM Hacking board and see that I'm a moderator of the forum they are interested it, they are more comfortable to know that I invited them personally, rather than feel like a complete stranger who knows no one.

There's also a few times when there's discrepencies as to what's Emulation and what's ROM-Hacking, since these two subjects are closely related, but I felt like I've done a good job of sorting out topics that should be in the opposite threads thus far and believe I can continue to do a good job at that.

I have had no complaints and several compliments from fellow members of how I've handled being a moderator of my current assigned forums. Having me to continue to be a moderator of these forums insures that you have someone who has experience, already gained respect, and someone who frequents the forums enough to handle any moderation needed in a timely matter (with the help of another moderator, of course ).

Forum(s) to Moderate and why : General Gaming. I love videogames and I know a bunch about them!

Recommendations: DahrkDaiz, Hiryuu, Keitaro, King_Killa, Setzer, Someguy

Reasons you think you will be a good moderator:

I have been interested in videogames as long as I remember. When I was 4 years old, my mom bought me and her a Gameboy. I used to play with her using a Link Cable, and I became good at a very young age. When my sister was born, we bought a Super Famicom and I was hooked! I wanted to know everything about my favorite games, I used to read the credits and find out who made some of my favorite things after a game I really loved alot. When my friends were buisy I would tinker with some of my uncle's tools. I would take appart games that did not work and 'experiment' on them. When I was 7 I could play Japanese Famicom games on a US machine by building the cartridge myslef with the parts of another stupid game I did not play (it was "Deadly Towers"). After a little bit he showed me how to use his electrical equipment, and I learned how to fix batteries that broke off of games and other tiny repairs. When I got the internet a couple of years after, I looked up everything I could about videogames! I tried to find out everything, from who made them, to when they were released (and where), even how to fix the electronics of cartridges and consoles! It was so amazing, and I learned so much about many games, even how they work on the inside. I spend alot of time playing videogames and learning about their technology, and I know a bunch

I would be a good moderator not just because I know alot, but because I am a nice person. I would not yell at people or be mean even if they asked sort of a 'stupid' question. I guess that I mean I would not flame people, that is not a cool way to handle anything ^^. I know that a moderator has to draw the line somewhere, however. If I needed to be a little agressive, I would be able to if it was apropriate. But I would want people to see me as a nice moderator who they can talk to. I like to talk to people, and I am always around to talk when I am needed. Even if they didn't want to talk about the board or videogames, I would be glad to listen to anyone who has something to say. I think that I am a very fair person who is sort of liked here..I understand that I am a little bit new, but I promise I would do an aweosme job!

I would be a very active moderator. If I was on the staff, I would contribute to staff discussions that would need me, and I would always take good care of my forum ^^. I understand the rules of this message board, and I try really hard to follow them. I would try to enforce them too, because a good moderator is only as good as their forum, I think. I respect the adminstrators of the board, and I do understand that whatever they say goes. If they told me to do something different, I would do it in a second. I know that there is a moderator already of General Gaming, but if I ended up working beside anybody, I would do all that I can do to make sure we get along in running the forum. I would make sure that anything I would do, would be alright with them as well. I will not cause very many conflicts, at least I will try ^^;; I hope that I can get along with other staff on this board, and I will try my hardest to be a good example for everyone, staff and non-staff even!

This is the end of my application. I hope that by reading through it (and if you did I thank you ) you can sort of understand how I would be pretty qualified to moderate the General Gaming forum. I would have alot of fun doing it, and I really would try my best to do a good job there! I want to thank you for giving me an opportunity to apply like this. I know I might not have a chance very late in the game, but I still appreciate being allowed to at least try. I have been trying to make my English better than ever, and I think I almost have it perfect now! I understand moderating the forum would be an honor, not a privlage for me. There might be other people who are qualified too, so I would not have any hard feelings if I was not picked. Once again, thank you very much for letting me apply. I promise I will not let anybody down if I am chosen
