Well, it's here! Its been a long time since I released a demo of a hack. I made some exclusive screenshots for the demo's release!

Title Screen. The Title Screen will be completely changed in the final product. Oh, and ignore the 2s next to the Player options, and the date at the bottom. They're temporary.

World 1 Map. Yes, I did have a completely different World 1 Map, but it had to go, because of pointer problems. Sorry, but I had no choice. The only level not playable is Level 4. Level 4 had to be removed because of pointer problems as well. Editing Level 4 effected work I did on Level 6. I may bring back Level 4 in the final game. We'll see.

Level 1.

Level 2.

Level 3. The hammer brother wants to throw hammers eh? Well, 2 can play at that game!

Dungeon.

Level 5.

Level 6.

Other levels not shown: Hammer Brother's stage, Ship Level. I'd rather not spoil the whole experience for you.

Also, there is different music in levels and elsewhere!

For more information on what the hack is about, and new features, you can check the other thread: http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=11728

And now for the demo:

http://www.geocities.com/heavencloud7777/mariojourneydemo.zip

To download, right click and select save target as. Sometimes, you can just click on it normally and it works, but incase it doesn't, you know what to do.

I included a readme in the zip file. Please take a quick look at it. Feedback is appreciated. Have fun guys!

What version of Super Mario Bros. 3 do I need to run the game?

Oh, sorry man. I hope that hasn't stopped you from playing this. I honestly don't know what version of the ROM it is. Just test both if you have to.

By the way, that picture with the Mario heads is funny.

It patches fine with the PRG 1 ROM version.

Either I've got crap at SMB3 (highly likely), or this hack is hard. The first world should start out extremely easy. There also seems to be excessive use of the munchers (a section in the first level where you have jump a chasm filled with the bloody things pissed me off). I managed to get to level two, but gave up after dying repeatedly. (Good thing there's infinite lives )

One thing that seemed weird was the world complete music playing when you started the game. It just seems out of place there.

The very reason I put infinite lives; incase it was hard for some people. I thank you for your opinion, but I don't really think the hack is that hard. If you think it is hard, then play the original, which is way too easy. This makes the game a little bit challenging. If others think that the music at the beginning is out of place as well, I'll change it. Thats why I need the feedback. To know what is good, and what is not. So thanks for the feedback Dan!

I wasn't gonna play it, but since it did look good I was like what the hell, I ain't got nothing to lose. But the demo is pretty decent. I liked the end with the Koopa Kid battle. Overall, good fun for the whole family.

While I'd love to compliment the screenshots and point out minor flaws that I can see, there's something stopping me. The little white boxes with red X's in them, specifically. Everyone else seems to be able to see them, so I have no clue what would be my problem other than maybe server issues.

I'll download it once I'm able to see the screenshots. I'd like a little preview of what I'm downloading, see.

Dude, that was a one-month bump of a thread. I thought Rockman had released another demo of his masterpiece, and I get quite annoyed when I find out that it actually is the old one. Please be careful next time, okay?
