| Cyberaptor felt the sucking motion picking up, and was pulled in. He got hit quite a number of times before he thought of a good way to avoid further damage. Two powerful, metallic arms shot out of the sides of his pack and attached themselves firmly to the ground. Cyberaptor did a back flip and landed behind the arms, which lifted him about half of a foot off of the ground. This is kind of like Dr. Octopus from Spiderman 2, if that'll help paint the picture. Cyberaptor licked his left arm for a moment, where a slight wound had developed. Computer: Well, Cy, it's either wind or earth now, and either could lead to a good combo. Cyberaptor thought better of doing an earth attack. Brown light pulsed through the metal arms, and seismic waves radiated through the ground outward from them! These waves did more damage at a closer range, and since Zerodius was but a few feet away, getting hit would hurt. Three pulses were launched from each arm, in groups of two, with one-second pauses between each. Cyberaptor held his staff back behind him, preparing... | Zerodius jumped in the air immediately after Cyberaptor broke free of the attack... and he was glad he did it. The seismic waves passed under him. He had avoided serious damage! Zerodius slowly stopped spinning while hovering a bit over Cyberaptor, thanks to his thrusters. Zerodius: "OK... no more games. Now it's time to use my better Blaster modules!" Zerodius sheated his sword and his right arm transformed back into the Arm Blaster. This time, it was far from being as large as before... but it was significantly longer and the core of the Arm Blaster was visible. The core was filled with magma and fiery sparks were flying out of the Arm Blaster. Obviously, this was a fire-elemental version of the Arm Blaster... and a very strong one at that! However, Zerodius could not fire yet. He still had to recover his balance after spinning like he had done. (edited by Zerodius on 04-25-05 04:05 PM) |

| When Zerodius parked into the air, it was right where Cyberaptor predicted it. Using the metallic arms for added oomph, Cyberaptor sling-shotted at Zerodius in a fury of swings from his stick and swipes from his claws. If Cyberaptor were blocked, he would bounce to the ground, then right back at Zerodius again for a second wave. When his turn ended, he retracted the metal arms and regained a defensive stance. Cyberaptor: Raaaooor! |

| Zerodius: "Rule #1 when fighting guys with high-tech equipment: do not charge head-first into a guy pointing an uber-powerful gun at you." Zerodius fired only once... and he really only needed to fire once since his Plasma Cannon module was basically his ultimate weapon not counting the Phase Mana Canon which he almost never used anyway. The Plasma Cannon was basically the worst nightmare of any normal creature. It sends long, thin bolts of overheated plasma at a speed that is awfully close to the speed of light. The bolts are sent so fast and are so hot that they basically do as much as a Firaga spell and instantly put the unfortunate target on fire... when not charged. When charged, the beams are basically instant-death to 95% of the creatures that are not immune to heat-based attacks. The Plasma Cannon's only real weakness was the fact that it was heat-based and fire is one of the elements against which the most beings are immune. Furthermore, anti-heat armor and shields are relatively to make... and while they won't prevent damage, they may prevent the instant-death effects and reduce the attack power to a somewhat less extreme level. Even with the cannon's shortcomings, Zerodius was confident that the Plasma Cannon would stop Cyberaptor in his tracks as he doubted that the reptile had good enough anti-heat protection to take a direct hit. | Cyberaptor had hoped he would be able to stop Zerodius before he could launch the cannon, but couldn't. He was blasted backward, taking a reasonable chunk out of his HP. His armor was, for the most part, heat resistant, so no deadly side-effects were received by Cyberaptor. Cyberaptor recoiled from the move, and quickly swiped his claw at Zerodius again upon bouncing back, but whether it hit or not was yet to be noticed. Cyberaptor retracted his metal arms and boosted back with his jetpack. Computer: We will no longer exercise any restraint. Be ready! Another metal arm came out of Cyberaptor's pack and rested in his left claw. Water came out of it, putting the fire out. Cyberaptor then aimed it at Zerodius's arm cannon... |

| Zerodius ducked under the incoming claw attack only to see Cyberaptor firing water at him... Zerodius: "Hmm..." Zerodius attempted to side-step the incoming water blast... but his thrusters malfonctionned and his speed was unsufficient. As such, he was struck which caused him to fly backward. BANG! He landed straight on his behind! Zerodius: "Oooow... why do my systems always malfunction at the worst times? Anyway..." Zerodius's Arm Blaster changed form. It was back to the Rocket Launcher form. Zerodius: "Now that you no longer pull your punches... I guess I'll take advantage of your mechanical nature!" A white sphere of magic appeared in Zerodius's left hand as he charged his Arm Blaster... Zerodius *thinks* Let's see what he can do against a Lock-down missile mixed with a couple of homing missiles! |

| Editized --- Computer: You'd better see to fixing your thrusters, faulty equipment can quickly give you the lower hand in a battle! Computer (To Cyberaptor): I've interpreted something interesting about the magic attacks Zerodius uses, Cy. It is not any ordinary magic, so you can't depend on your resistance for this round. His defense is still low from the gas. Power, now! Cyberaptor's stick was sucked back into his computer along with the hose, and to replace it Cyberaptor transformed his left hand into a missle launcher like Zerodius's. | Zerodius: "COPY CAT!... well, there's no rules against copying so who cares? Anyway... I can and will do better than this! Watch an expert at work..." Zerodius fired 4 homing missiles to cancel Cyberaptor's and then fired the fifth one a few seconds later so it would not be affected by the explosions. The fifth one was much faster than the others and seemed to be attracted to Cyberaptor like a magnet... in fact, it would ignore all other obstacles and objects only to collide with him. It's homing system was very advanced; it cannot be fooled into colliding with walls or other metallic objects. The missile was a bit special. It would inflict no damage... but ALL of Cyberaptor's systems would be knocked offline for a LONG while (like, at least 120 seconds and up to 2 hours) thus paralysing all of his metallic parts. Of course, such an attack would have disastrous effects on a being such as Cyberaptor and as such, it was very advisable that he would find a way to evade or counter that missile. |

| Cyberaptor attempted to block the missile by generating a brick wall in front of it, but it swerved out of the way, and continued on its path toward him. Again, Cyberaptor created another wall, still keeping his distance by flying away from it, but the missile dodged it again. Computer: That's a smart missile... It was getting closer, and Cyberaptor's matter tank was running low...just before it hit him, he decided to repeat old tricks and convert it into data with a flash of his antenna. Cyberaptor: Grgg. Computer: Zerodius will have lowered defense for 2-3 more turns, so you better make sure you hit him. Cyberaptor hardly needed to be told, as he knew this was his chance to deliver good damage. The gun on his left hand flashed, and turned back into a normal claw again, while a metal bracelet on his right wrist opened up and revealed a mysterious elliptical object, with a red end and a cyan end. The object spun around below his wrist so the cyan end was facing forward, and shot out a beam of ultra-cold gas! This wasn't meant to hit Zerodius, it was just to test it out. Cyberaptor activated his jetpack again, and flew toward Zerodius. When he reached an area of about 15 feet away, he flew in circles around him, spraying the freezing ice beam at him, which would surely freeze Zerodius if it connected. |

| An indicator flashed red on Zerodius's visor. Computer: "Ultra-low temperature alert." Zerodius was completely frozen by the gaz! Computer: "Initiating auto-heat process... automatically loading Plasma Cannon Module on Blaster Cannon." Zerodius's Blaster turned into the Plasma Cannon. Computer: "Initiating discharges." Zerodius seemed to explode as broke out of the ice cube in which he was stuck. Computer: "Manual controls restored. Damage to shielding minor. Small breaches in outter layer of armor. Acid's effects cancelled. Outter layer of armor is now fragile due to very quick changes in temperature. Use caution." Zerodius: "I see..." Zerodius turned to Cyberaptor. Zerodius: "You're starting to get on my nerves..." Zerodius charged magical energy in his left hand... One detail made the ball different from the other spell charges Zerodius had used: this ball was MUCH bigger. |

| Zerodius: "I guess I should end this now... Your potential is truly evident but first... I shall test you one final time." Zerodius noticed a flaw in Cyberaptor's attack: he was aiming everywhere... but in front of himself. Zerodius suspected this to be a trap... but with the spell he had prepared, he would be ready for anything. The thrusters activated in his feet as Zerodius dashed out of the way of the giant anvil. Zerodius: "Prepare yourself!" Zerodius placed the magical sphere into his Arm Blaster as he got closer to Cyberaptor... Zerodius: "Survive this if you can!" Zerodius's Arm Blaster transformed into the Plasma Cannon!... or is it? It was totally black and white and the sparks that were flying out of it seemed a bit... dull. Zerodius: "PULSAR!!!" Zerodius shot a HUGE sphere from the Arm Blaster! The sphere was totally black and white and moved awfully slowly... but there was a problem with it... a SERIOUS problem. The sphere's gravity was thousands times the strenght of the very planet's gravity! In short, it's almost the level of a black hole! When Zerodius yelled "Pulsar", he really meant that he was going to shoot a real, actual pulsar, it seems! As such, direct contact with the sphere will cause molecular structure fKitten Yiffer (read: crushed beyond recognition) and the sphere constantly sends extremely powerful magnetic waves from it's spinning poles... and these waves are so powerful that they can shred the strongest material at molecular level. In short, Zerodius had thrown a gigantic magnetic saw at Cyberaptor. The chances of survival for both fighters were quite low... already, pieces of Zerodius's armor were ripped off his body and were absorbed by the advancing magnetic sphere... Computer: "Armor tolerance critical. System fKitten Yiffer imminent." Zerodius: "Pah! It doesn't matter. Magnetic-elemental matter retains it's effects as data... and as such, should Cyberaptor survives this attack, he has passed my test." Zerodius's armor was completely ripped apart and absorbed by the pulsar... but as the armor fell into pieces, a mysterious life-form came out and escaped to a safe distance... Cyberaptor could not grasp the form of this creature... Zerodius *thinks* Let's see how this mortal will deal with my pulsar... if he can destroy or disable it... then he and his specie will officially succeed this test... | Computer: Well, this ruins the plan. Cyberaptor barked angrily at his computer. The pull of the pulsar was so strong...Cyberaptor shot out his metal tentacles again, which latched onto the ground for support, though they wouldn't save Cyberaptor if he didn't act quickly. As the pulsar sucked in more and more things, it was likely to grow and get worse. Computer: Zerodius! Have you no idea how this attack can harm the balance of this planet, or even this solar system? Cyberaptor ran over many ideas in his head... Cyberaptor: Grurgck! Computer: ...I do calculate a chance of this...it could work. Instantly, Cyberaptor's MTD antenna whipped out and began sucking up the pulsar for energy, powering up a device, which he never truly got the hang of using...though it was his only chance. After a few seconds, Cyberaptor's right claw transformed into a relatively large gun, the largest yet; a time beam. With it, he fired a stream of energy at the pulsar, which encircled it, slowing it down. A few more minutes of firing at it, with a few breaks to pause to charge energy, and the pulsar was basically stopped in time, hovering harmlessly in the air. After this, Cyberaptor's entire right claw/gun exploded out of overheating...and he wasn't too pleased about it. Moreover, Cyberaptor was so tired out, he had to slouch over for breath...he was wide open for an attack. |

| Sounds could be heard... ... steps? Suddenly, Cyberaptor was surrounded. Around him were a dozen of Hunter agents in armor... but they were not hostile. Far from it. They placed strange machines around the pulsar, "binding" it and then proceeded to analyse the pulsar... which, strangely enough, contained all of the data and energy Zerodius had got from Cyberaptor. One of the agents approached Cyberaptor... the agent took off his helmet and... ?!? It was actually a shockingly beautiful female humanoid green dragon! She smiled as she stared deep into Cyberaptor's eyes... her blue eyes glowed like the ocean. Her blonde hair was looking as if it was made of gold... Firux: "Hi mister Cyberaptor! I am Firux, the commander of the Hunters on this small planet. This battle was arranged in secret between the Hunters' High Council and the ruling beings of Cybercity. Since Cybercity's strongest creature, you, has successfully cleared our Admiral's test... Cybercity is now an official part of the Hunters." Firux placed a strange object on Cyberaptor's chest... Firux: "Cybercity will now have access to all of the Hunters technology but will also have to share their own technology as well as their scientific finds. The DNA banks of the species under your control will be added to the Hunters' main database as well. Soul data acquired during the test will be analysed and used." Firux standed back and stared at Cyberaptor for a while... Firux: "Cybercity retains it's former rulers and laws. Laws that were contrary to the Hunters' ethics were already erased way before this fight even begun. A communications center has been built into Cybercity which will allow your specie to contact us whenever you need us... or whenever we need you. The pulsar that was used in this test shall be used as the energy source for the new building; the communications center will not take any energy from your regular power sources." Firux paused for a while and smiled... Firux: "Now that I'm finished with the official speech... I can go on with personnal matters. It is truly a wonderful thing that Cybercity finally reached the technological and intellectual level needed to become a part of the Hunters. I'm sure that our species will do great things together... but we shall see. My name is Firux as I said earlier... but while I'm not supposed to say this... there are still some tests your specie will face." Firux said some words in an unknow language and the other agents left with the pulsar. Firux: "While your specie fulfill all of the requirements... our Admiral is still a little weird... and as such, he deems it necessary to test your specie one last time... or should I say, test you..." Firux stared at Cyberaptor in a rather... strange... way? Firux: "The contact with other species... to see if your specie can merge or will evolve on it's own... such is the Admiral's final test. Now that your specie stood the test of War... they must pass the test of Peace!" Firux stared at her right arm... Firux: "Well well well... looks at that! Still talking in an official way! I think it's becease I did not got enough time for my vacation... so what about it?" Firux approached Cyberaptor and began to transform as she did... Firux: "Will you bring me to Cybercity?" Firux was now just in front of Cyberaptor. She was now a raptor like him while still keeping her armor and good looks. Firux: "I want to see your city... and I want to learn more about this city's guardian in a more... hmm... how can I say this... well... in a more... "personnal"... way..." | While Firux was talking, Cyberaptor's antenna, now with small mechanical "fingers", was busy mending Cyberaptor's injured arm. Computer: The ruling being of Cybercity aranged this fight with the hunters? That would be Profound Idea. I suppose it wanted to make sure its greatest creations were up to snuff, eh, Cy? Firux continued, surprising both of them when she transformed into a velociraptor. Computer: ... Computer: Tempurature changes, pulse counts, voice analysis and pheromone scans indicate a certain emotion in Firu- Cyberaptor banged the computer with his fist, and then remained silent for a moment. The little antenna continued tending to Cyberaptor's arm. Cyberaptor: ...If you want to see Cybercity, I'd be happy to escort you. So he could talk... |

| Firux got closer... her smile was so wide. She was... blushing? Firux: "Show me the way..." ... During this time... ... Inside of the Hunters' mothership's control room... Communications Officer: "Mission accomplished, sir. We just received the transmission from Profound Idea." Zerodius: "Good. Cybercity is now under Hunter control. I was a bit worried the Guardians would contact them first and force them to worship them... but now, Cybercity is safe." Communications Officer: "Sir... we just received a strange signal... it's Firux!" Zerodius: "You know she's a nymphomaniac. She must have fell in love with the local hero, Cyberaptor. I fought him just a few seconds ago... excellent potential. His exoskeleton is shape-shifting, a bit like our Blaster systems... but the extensive use of shape-shifting technology makes it vulnerable to molecular disruptors... but I'm sure the molecular stability problems will be fixed in time as their technology will be upgraded... and later as they will use our technology to further theirs even further." Communications Officer: "So... another specie merged successfully to the Hunters Alliance?" Zerodius: "Yes... but with an "if". The Guardians do not let powerful and intelligent species slip from their grasp so easily. A war for the control on Cybercity is imminent." Communications Officer: "I'll call Commander Firux..." Zerodius: "It has been 4 billions years since her last vacation... and a bit of romance in her life wouldn't hurt. Let her do as she please. Cyberaptor must also recover from his heavy exposure to intense magical energies. We'll deal with this ourselves... and anyway, this is a golden opportunity to incorporate the abilities we got from Cyberaptor to the Project "Ex". The invading Guardians will make superb test subjects." Communications Officer: "Using "Ex" beings on the Guardians? Is that a bit of an... overkill?" Zerodius: "Cybercity just joined us. Let us spare them from that stupid conflict between us and the Guardians. We'll let them enjoy a little peace for a while..." |
