While the city fell in ruins and was abandonned years ago, the factory still keeps working for some weird reason... Who take care of the factory? Why is it still working? Nobody knows... |

| OOC: Man, have I been waiting for this moment! Here goes... A streak of blue ether rockets across the sunset-red sky. Encloaked in the ether is a figure in crystal, futuristic armor, riding a crystal disc through the air... "WHOA!" He happens to look down. Below him is the ruined city he was told about, but what the heck was STEAM doing coming out of a supposedly abandoned factory? He telepathically radioes Sensae. "Schwa here. Mysterious factory discovered in abandoned city, still looks fuctional for some unbelievable reason. En route to explore. There may be evil afoot. The figure, Schwa, circles down and touches down on the ground right in front of the factory. He waves his hand, and his armor and disc disintegrate and exit the Material Plane. He approaches the door. "Okay, Schwa... Keep it together. Here I go." Schwa raises his right hand, and it flares with blue ether as he swings open the front door inside the factory... He looks around, surveying the scene. |

| The entrance hall is especially plain looking... and way too clean to be really abandonned. To the right, a kiosk where people would be greeted and to the left, a pair of chairs... and a little to the north of the chairs are some iron barrels. Strangely enough, the barrels are the only things in the hall that have rusted... exept the large door at the back of the room, which is rusted shut. The smaller doors at the east and west of the room are seemingly in good shape... but judging from the red lights over them, the doors are locked. Computer: "Intruder detected. Intruder detected. | Schwa panicks for a moment, but regains his cool. Right on "6", he speaks. "I am Schwa, Psi Warrior and embodyment of Good." His hands flare with ether. "I mean no harm. I am an embodyment of Good." He hopes the countdown will stop, but he tenses up, knowing he may have to fight some kind of security robot. However, he's under the impression that it'll be just one, and it'll be a piece of cake to take out... Even embodyments of Good don't know EVERYthing... |

| OFF: Boss characters in this thread do not have a larger Life Meter than other foes... but however, their Life Meter has an extra layer... and in the case of some bosses, two extra layers. ____________________________________________________________________ Computer: "There is no such thing as an "embodyment of Good". Such things are superstitions... furthermore, according to your voice, you are human. Humans are weak and outdated compared to robots and as such, you are useless. You shall be destroyed like the outdated creature you are. The world is not a place for outdated and weak creatures." All the doors in the room closed themselves and 5 enemies were teleported in the room. A gigantic humanoid figure made of green slime with a green eye in it was staring at Schwa... and next to it were 4 other humanoid robots. The first one had heavy armor and was covered with spikes. The second one had light armor, had a top as a head, and seemed quite fast. The third one was wearing the heaviest armor of them all but seemed quite slow. The last one was similar to the third but was permanently emitting electricity. They were the Rainbow Devil, Needle Man, Top Man, Hard Man, and Spark Man, robots that the evil Dr.Wily had built to conquer Dimension 16. | "DANG!" Schwa stares at his FIVE opponents, especially the big green one. "F-five of 'em?" But Schwa is not about to lose his cool. The comment that the computer made about humans being outdated meant that some type of Evil or another MUST be afoot in this curious factory; perhaps a robot mastermind out to eliminate all humans. And likewise, Schwa was dead-set on eliminating this dark force. Schwa's hands flare brilliantly with Ether. "Alright, bots," he says through a clenched teeth smile, "You wanna mess with Good? Bring it!" Schwa dashes ahead toward the top-headed robot, Top Man, and delivers his surprise attack: as he gets within striking distance, he blinks out of visibility for a split-second, having used a ninja-like speed-burst only someone like Schwa can muster, to get behind the foe, strike it in the back of the head with an ether-coated fist, then blink in front of it again. This type of attack does a tiny bit less than normal melee damage, as the speed-burst borrows slightly from attack power to be delivered properly. Schwa's thoughts: "This top-headed robot looks the least protected, that tank-like robot looks the best protected, that electric robot looks the most powerful, and I better not even touch that spiky robot. I'll save the green Jello-bot for last as he'll be a hard one to fight in the chaos. Hmm... wonder how Allaura is doing?" |

| Top Man was damaged by the attack but didn't done much about it but screams in a metallic, semi-feminine voice. Needle Man: "My EARS!!! They're bleeding! Stop it!" Spark Man: "We don't have ears or blood, moron!" Needle Man: "Just make it stop!" Needle Man smacked Top Man's face, thus stopping his hideous scream (which had been hideous and loud enough to make Schwa flinch, by the way). Spark Man: "All units! Attack! Use plan A!" The Rainbow Devil's eye floated out of it's body and entered the air ducts in the ceiling. As it did, the body collapsed, covering the floor with green, sticky liquid. This liquid made the terrain slippery. Spark Man jumped behind the kiosk and then, created a sphere of electricity in it's "hands"... or whatever is at the end of his arms. Hard Man, him, made a surprisingly high and long jump and landed behind the rusty barrels (how can such a heavy-looking thing jump like that?!?) and then, his arms transformed into cannons of some sort. Hard Man proceeded to fire... homing boxing gloves?!? Well... they may be ridiculous-looking but they still look dangerous! As for Top Man, he recovered from the hits he suffered both from his enemy and allies and proceeded to run away and hide under one of the chairs... for now. The only robot that stayed right in front of Schwa was Needle Man. He placed himself just close enough so Schwa couldn't use long-range attacks but he was too far to use melee attacks. Needle Man: "You made that stupid Top Man scream. For this, you will pay, fleshy!" | "I don' think so, pal." TopMan's scream shook Schwa a little, but not for long. Schwa folds his arms across his chest as they flare with ether. The spikes connect, and he only recieves minimal damage. However, it surprised him anyway because he thought it wouldn't hurt him at all... "Hey, you're strong! Uh oh, boxing glove alert..." Schwa does a frontflip over NeedleMan, getting out of the way from the gloves. he's not sure if they'll turn around or not, but as he heads toward the ground behind NeedleMan to finish his frontflip, he throws his palms backward to fire a trio of energy rings at the foe. The combined damage from all the rings should be around medium. Then he lands behind NeedleMan and turns around to face him, but he almost slips as he lands! For half a second he struggles, but soon regains his balance. He looks down, noticing a slippery green gel coating the terrain. "Great... Wonder if it's flammable?" To get away from NeedleMan's stretchy head attack, Schwa "skates" away from him easily. This does bring him a tiny bit closer to HardMan at the back of the room, though... And Schwa hasn't even any awareness of Spark Man yet... |

| Needle Man's attack missed and right as he was to adjust his aim and attack again, Schwa thrown rings at him! Surprisingly the rings pierced right trought Needle Man's armor, inflicting full damage! Needle Man: "System error... Protective armor inneffective against successive attacks... Retreat..." Needle Man dived under one of the chairs right next to Top Man! ... Hard Man was a bit angry that Schwa dodged his homing boxing gloves... well, in fact, he was very angry. He picked up one of the 3 barrels that made up his cover and then thrown it at Schwa with surprising precision. While Hard Man was throwing his barrel, Spark Man finished charging. He jumped from behind the kiosk and thrown a large, slow-moving ball of electricity toward Schwa! Since the ball was so slow, it would be easy to avoid enough... but the Rainbow Devil had other plans for Schwa. The slime covering the floor was struck with a ray of electricity from above and the slime began to move... the slime gathered, forming a giant hand under Schwa. The hand then proceeded to try and grab Schwa so he wouldn't be able to avoid the incoming barrel that came from his left and ball of electricity that came from his right. As for Top Man... well, he's still under the chair... but he's no longer hiding. | "There's only one way past that barrel-- right through it! But this low friction may get in the way..." Schwa starts skating toward the flying barrel, and once in medium range from it he leaps up and to the side, turns, and-- begins running sideways along the surface of the wall! "Yeah! Now I have enough control to leap at it and bust through! ...WHOOPS..." But not for long. Even with psionic powers, running along the wall is WAY too hard for Schwa, and he falls on the slippery gel again. But as he lands, he slides on his belly, and barely ducks under the barrel. NOW Schwa has his Hand problem. "Aw hell!" Caught! And the electricity ball is getting closer, too, and Schwa has no way to get out. That's when Schwa gets a crazy plan... "Plasmatech Barrier!" (echo effects) There is a small starburst of sparks above Schwa, as hundreds and hundreds of tiny, blue, etheral ribbons fly from the light burst at Schwa. They engulf him from his current position and wrap him in a coccoon of peculiar holy matter. The spark hits the coccoon, and the ribbons absorb almost all the damage. However, electricity isn't 100% compatable with this defense, and Schwa recieves small damage. The ribbons come off, fly up, and merge together to form a large ball of light above him. This ball contains the energy of a powerful electric attack, ready to either be absorbed by Schwa and converted to mana, or flung at a foe at will. But Schwa knows better to waste this valuable piece of ammo while he's immobile... "Hey HardMan! You throw like a TRS-80! Wanna come a little closer next time, you outdated metal cylinder?" Taunting a robot was the last thing Schwa would think to do in a time of peril, but it just may work... The sphere still hangs over the trapped Schwa's head. |

| The hand that held Schwa proceeded to try and squeeze the life out of him. During this time, Hard Man heard Schwa's taunt... Hard Man: "W... w... WHAT?!? I'm MUCH more advanced than a mere TRS-80! I'll show you!" Hard Man grabbed TWO iron barrels, one in each hand, and proceeded to throw them at Schwa! ... During this time, Top Man finally decided himself to come out of his hiding place. He stood in front of the chairs and waited for the iron barrels to hit Schwa before acting. ... Needle Man is still hiding. ... Spark Man is recharges his arms, preparing for another attack... ... Rainbow Devil's true form, a floating metal eye, was in the ventilation vents, staring at Schwa. Rainbow Devil *thinks* This is easy... | "THERE you are! Gotcha!" Noticing the eye in the vents on the ceiling, Schwa thrusts his hands toward the eye, and the sphere of charged energy quickly flies at it. At the same time, the hand tries to squeeze him, but when the sphere was fired, the force of throwing it threw Schwa right out of it's grasp! He lands feet first on the slippery floor and betgins to slide backward, both of HardMan's barrels following him in midair. "C'mon, Schwa, act quickly... Thunder Glider!" (echo effects) Schwa's ether-coated right fist moves in a circular notion as Schwa leaps into the air, still moving backwards. The ether quickly gathers underneath him and forms into a solid object: it's a blue, top-shaped platform emitting sparks of electricity. Schwa hovers an inch above the top, as Schwa controls the top with his thoughts. He hovers higher to avoid the barrels. "Ha! I did it! And if that blast of energy nailed it's target, I have the upper hand!" Schwa hovers in place, near the ceiling of the room, waiting for his foes to react... (edited by Schwa on 04-25-05 07:20 AM) |

| Rainbow Devil's eye was struck by the sphere of energy... however, the eye seemed to take the attack very well; it was probably sturdier than all of the other robot masters together. Rainbow Devil: "This isn't good..." The Rainbow Devil's eye shot a thunderbolt at the slime covering the floor and the hand disappeared. Then, the eye dived into the slime and it began to gather... and very soon, the slime formed a GIGANTIC somewhat-humanoid figure in front of Schwa. The eye was in the core of the slime figure. The figure was truly big... it barely fitted into the entrance hall! Let's just say that it was filling at least 20% of the room. While fighting such a large monstruosity will probably be hard... there's still a good thing about it: the floor is no longer covered with slime (DUH! The slime gathered to form the figure). Rainbow Devil: "I've gone easy on you for too long now..." The gigantic figure approached Schwa and then, it's right arm transformed into a gigantic hammer. Rainbow Devil: "Squish go the bug." The Rainbow tried to crush Schwa with the slime hammer! ... Needle Man came out of his hiding place and stood next to Top Man. The two stood as far from possible from the Rainbow Devil... but since it was so big, it wasn't easy. The two wanted to be ready to strike at all time while staying out of both Schwa's and Rainbow Devil's reach. ... Hard Man: "Oh man! There's trouble brewing!" Hard Man hid behind the 3 remaining barrels so that Rainbow Devil may not destroy him by mistake. ... Spark Man stored the charged energy within his body and hid under the counter. | "Wait for it..." Schwa whispers... "NOW!" Schwa zips to the left with only a few milliseconds to spare, successfully dodging the slime hammer in midair. "Ha! Much easier to dodge while Thunder Glider is in effect!" As Rainbow Devil attacks and misses, Schwa flies closer and tilts at a 90 degree angle, so the top is pointed toward the eye inside the slime creature. "Big foes don't scare me. Thunder Slash!" (echo effects) The top is launched forward, surrounded in a cone of electricity. A direct hit on any normal foe should cause pretty good damage; if the attack were a little off-centered the damage wouldn't be AS great. Schwa expects the Rainbow Devil to light up like a christmas tree... but he doesn't understand the nature of this creature yet. OOC: I take it this Rainbow Devil has the same physics as in Megaman 8. |

| OFF: Exactely. This is Megaman 8's version of the Rainbow Devil mixed with a bit of the second Megaman arcade game's Rainbow Devil (since the Rainbow Devil in Megaman 8 could not attack when in humanoid form). This means that the Rainbow Devil must be attacked twice in a row to be actually damaged and that the slime barrier regenerate the next turn after being broken... but it also means that electricity will greatly harm it. Attacking the Rainbow Devil when he's inside of the slime is more dangerous... but electricity will inflict quadruple damage unstead of double damage if the attack is done when it's in the slime. ____________________________________________________________________ Schwa's attack made a big, nice hole in the figure, making the eye vulnerable. Rainbow Devil: "Err... this is not good..." The Rainbow Devil punched in front of him... and then, his hand was separated from the main body and was sent flying toward Schwa in the form of a big cube! While the slime was technically liquid... the slime had somehow been hardened upon being thrown and was now harder than metal. Being hit by it would probably hurt a lot. | OOC: Forgot to mention about Thunder Slash... Schwa floats in midair after attacking, and after attacking the top returns to it's place under Schwa's feet. Hope that helps. "Whoa, better move out of the way..." After the platform returns to Schwa after hitting it's target, Schwa moves to the ground and to the right to avoid the cube. He then swoops back upward, tilts again, and attempts to ram the electricity-emitting top, pointy-end first, right into the center of Rainbow-Devil's eye! The attack would bounce Schwa backward after hitting the eye or slime (if it missed the eye and hit the slime). Schwa notcies something after attacking. "Uh-oh, it's getting harder to keep the Glider under control..." |

| The attack was successful! An unnatural, metallic scream could be heard as the electricity-infused blade struck the eye, shocking the Rainbow Devil... and since it was in the slime, the attack was even more effective! The eye was flied out of the figure and then, the cube and the figure melted, covering the floor with slime once again. Rainbow Devil: "I went easy on you for too long! Now... you will face my wrath!" The other robots stared at each others. It meant it was going to use THAT attack... and as such, they were not safe! Hard Man: "I can take the damage!" Spark Man: "Water damage? Who cares?" Needle Man: "I don't know if my systems will resist..." Top Man: "THIS is why the Rainbow Devil always fought alone in the past!" | Schwa looks down. "Just great... The floor is coated again JUST after the Glider lost stamina." Schwa stares at the floating, metallic eye. "I can take ANYthing you dish out at me. I found your weakness!" Schwa thinks, "So the slime seems to conduct electricity better. Wonder if I could use that to my advantage?" Schwa quickly lowers his altitude, concentrates, and a large thunderbolt is fired straight down at the slime-coated floor. Schwa hopes that by doing this, an electrical current will spread over the whole floor and damage all other robots with a small electric shock. As long as they're all kept busy at once, Schwa can handle this. But it's getting harder for him to maintain the shape of the Glider. |

| Suddenly, at the same time as Schwa filled the slime with electricity, the Rainbow Devil shot a thunderbolt into the slime too! The slime gathered and rose like a gigantic tidal wave! In fact, it had became an actual tidal wave that washed over all the robot masters, reducing to shreds! | "Oh my, this is gonna HURT..." There's only one thing for Schwa to do. He tilts the top toward the eye and flies at it... streaking right through the tidal wave (damaging him severely, of course) directly toward the floating eye in an attempt to ram it with the electric object! Whether it was a hit or miss, the top bursts into a small cloud of sparks afterward and Schwa falls to the ground again. He lands on his feet, though. But he immediately falls to a kneel, aching all over. " *pant, pant* Wow, human bodies sure can take a lot... Hope that felt good, robotic freak!" |
