I. INTRODUCTION

For those of you who are mentally retarded, subscribe to AOL, or like to eat Big Red, this is for you.

This is a forum. For stories.

II. FORMAT

The standard format is a movie script-ish format. For example;

Melvin: Wazzap!

Smithy: Nothin'. Watchin' the game, drinkin' a Bud.

Melvin steals Smithy's Bud.

Melvin: WAS drinkin' a bud.

As you can see, Melvin's actions are in italics. You put text into italics by putting before the actions and after the actions. Usually, actions are in present tense.

III. THE GM

The person that creates a story is referred to as a "GM", which is a Dungeons and Dragons term meaning, "Game Master". The Game Master is the one who decides where the story goes and controls all Non-Player Characters. The same is true with a GM here. However, they control their own character also, and all the other players can also control NPC's.

IV. NPC'S AND PC'S

An NPC is a Non-Player Character. An NPC is basically a supporting character that is secondary to the main characters.

A PC is a Player Character. While users control NPC's, they also get a PC. This is your primary character.

V. NPC CONTROL

All users can control NPC's to say or do whatever. However, if a GM says so, NPC's can be made off-limits to all but a specified user. Regular users can also use "Personal NPC's" that they create, and are only useable by them.

VI. INTRODUCTIONS

Make your introductions good. Not crappy.

GOOD:

In a blinding flash of light, the Melvinmobile appears, trailing fire from it's tires, and coated in a sheet of ice. It skids to a stop, and Melvin pops the door open.

Melvin: Miss me?

BAD:

Melvin appears.

Melvin: WAZZAP LOLOLOLOZ!111

Big difference.

VII. FIGHTING

I'll be blunt. Only the GM decides if your attack does damage. And if you say

Dude: ::Kills final boss:: Yay!

I'll blow your ass to bejezus and back.

And remember, have fun with it!
