I've found a few locations in Shockwave, with some help from Skiffles.

INTRO CREDITS:::

These start at byte 00002833, ending at 0000297A, with three bytes of padding at the end.

This data results in:
SHOCK WAVE

SELECT MENU AND ENTER NAME TEXT::

This is the menu that appears when you press SELECT. It uses the same BG tile map as the ENTER NAME screen, which I have not found yet.

This begins at byte 000038D5, ending at byte 00003923.

This data results in:
CONTINUERESTARTMAZEMUSICONdOFFENTERCODEYOURNAMEPLAYERNEWdGAMERESTOREGAMEINVALID

That lower case d, I'm guessing, allows the text to be changed upon input.

------------------------------------

ENDING TEXT::

Simple, the text appearing upon completion of the final maze.

Begins at byte 000045E0, ending at 00004739(473A?). The last three bytes are the end password.

This data results in:
YOUR DARING TRIP

BEEN SUCCESSFUL/ THE
DEADLY WARP HAS BEEN

POWER FOR GENERATIONS

LEVEL INFORMATION::

This game uses the format "Bit Compression" (or I think it's called that), which allows 2 objects to be placed instead of one. Oddly, though, the level name is at the END of the level data, instead of the BEGINNING.

I'm currently working on finding this.

------------------------------------

GRAPHICS DATA::

I'm pretty sure this is 00008000 to the end of the rom.

------------------------------------

PASSWORD SYSTEM::

I have no clue as to how this works... Hopefully, I will find SOMETHING.

So for the level data, it's like this?

Block 1: 1
Block 2: 2

11112222

That would allow for only 16 blocks, which isn't that much

XK: there's not many blocks in the game. it's kind of like boulder dash.

I remember spending alot of time playing this game when I was younger. I remember laughing at the fact that it was an american made game caues "everyone knows only japanese know how to make good games". I wound up liking the game when I did play it tho. Simplistic graphics but still a solid game. Good work on finding the level info.

I think the palette data is in the 2000-2100 range, if I remember correctly. I'll have to go check it out later tonight...
