European soccer fans, help us! (By "us", I mean "me". )

I saw an ad for Stand Up Speak Up, a campaign led by Thierry Henry and other soccer players to eradicate racism in European soccer. Yes, there's Livestrong-style wristbands (in this case, intertwined black and white). Well, as this is for European soccer, I can't get the bands here legitimately. They're selling on eBay for

Yeah, I was gonna say, directly from their FAQ:

CAN I GET THE BANDS ONLINE?
THE BANDS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE AT THE RETAIL STORES LISTED. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT ANY BANDS SOLD ONLINE (E.G. THROUGH EBAY) ARE BEING SOLD FOR PERSONAL PROFIT AND NO MONEY FROM THAT SALE WILL GO TO THE ORGANIZATIONS WORKING AGAINST RACISM IN FOOTBALL ACROSS EUROPE.

Well, the FAQ does say the bands are available (for a limited time) in Norway, but when looking at the list for where one can get the bands, Norway is not on it. I'm going to Oslo around the 15th, I could check some of the stores around there to see if I can find the wristband. I know the Oslo-club V

Oooh. I did email Nike, and here's their response:

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Stand Up and Speak campaign. As you have experienced this is a European effort so the bands are not available in the US.

Will they be offered in the United States? Nike does not have immediate plans to do so, however we strongly encourage you to check back with us in a month or so.

We appreciate the time you have taken to contact us and look forward to hearing from you again.

Sincerely,

Lisa
Nike

So who knows. Maybe they will eventually, but as I'm impatient, if they've got 'em there...

Aragones getting a $4,000 fine for his comments about Henry was a complete joke. If you're going to fine him, lighten his wallet - don't give him a tap on the hand.

Racism is *really* a big problem in Spain this year of all leagues - basically with some teams, if that black player on the field doesn't play for your team they're going to boo him when he touches the ball.
