| Right you are. I apologize for calling that abuse in #acmlm as it wasn't. For the record, you did kick Kwan once, but that seems like a friendly flame according to the context. You're not off the hook though. My reason for your ban still stands, I never said your halfop was anything but temporary. In fact, your halfop had gotten nothing to do with your ban - it's just untenable to have a halfop while banned. The rationale is clearly stated in my second post in this thread - and every bit of that still holds true, regardless of false assumptions regarding abuse during your period as a halfop. And you've already proven that you have another channel to go to. Edit: Hiryuu's post does not mean that I (or anyone else) am punishing you on our network (or the board) for anything you do on any other network. I just thought I'd make that painfully clear. Edit 2: Right around the time of this edit, knuck was banned. I just want to make it known that while I did want knuck banned (for the respective reasons I wanted him banned on IRC; asshat on both places) I didn't want him banned before this discussion was settled (and indeed I didn't ban him either - which is not to say that I blame the person banning him or demand his head on a plate for bad timing). I'm not one to personally stoop to the level of "if you can't win the debate, kill your opponent". | Seriously, I'm not making the "people like him are stopping nice people from coming by" angle up. I know people that want to go to #acmlm but feel that certain people are being assholes to them. And I'd be lying if I said that I didn't think knuck was one of the infective people. You'll also notice he's just banned from #acmlm - that's the place where most people want to be. That's the gateway channel and where new users end up. It's not tenable to have people there who insult you at the drop of a hat, or mention of an OS.
