| Cleartype was implemented for LCD screens to provide better anti-aliasing effects. I'm surprised Apple II would use it since it used a CRT monitor. In CRT monitors, slightly altering a beam of red, green, blue is a lot easier since there is much more flexibility whereas with LCD, once you place a red, green, or blue diode, it isn't going anywhere... | |||

| Not only that, but CRT monitors with ClearType hurt my eyes. Exception: Any ClearType effects on the GBA don't hurt at all, even on emulator. This is because I play at 2x screen size. Weird: CRT ClearType is the only known reason for a monitor to hurt my eyes. Ever. |

 so, having a refresh rate of 60Hz doesn't do anything to you either? My friend has issues when the refresh rate is too low... |

| I actually use a refresh rate of 60hz. I'm not that effected by it. Even if many people see it as a refresh rate. Althought my old 486 monitor is painful to use for some reason. I have gotten headaches from it.  |
