Imo it's pretty silly that Naruto is cut at all . It's also one of the worst dubs I've ever heard.. but sure.. do not download the vastly superior japanese episodes. It's your loss.

I have a feeling that was cut a slight bit. I didn't see much blood run on the ground...all I saw WAS the ground.

In the latest episode I was amazed at how muth the DIDNT cut out. I was sure that Naruto stabbing his own hand and bleeding all over the place would have been cut but it was there, and so was Kakashis advice of "You know you can bleed to death that way" XD

apperently if you think naruto was killed, then you got another thought comming, Its one of the best dubs I have ever watched.... but furi kuri had all the honorifics left in mostly...

Not sure if it's the anime being good, but I'm starting to get used to the dubs.

Then again, if we're going to talk about One Piece, the same's already happened there.

If you've not seen how horrible the first season's opening theme is, I guess you can't really complain.

Stemware presents the best point, however, I don't feel that the animation of Naruto is all that spectacular, it's okay, but I've seen a lot better, especially with how at least some of the later episodes just look pretty bad, well not horribly bad, but they aren't all that great.

It is only natural that the original is best, for everything. For example, Dante's Inferno sounds poetic in the original Italian, but not at all in the english translation.

Good point. However, we're talking about animation, and I'm sorry, but the writing for Naruto is not enough of a masterpiece that it's squelched by the dubbing. The animation and action are what counts and those shine through.

Oh please, the dubbing and editing isn't NEARLY as bad as the One Piece one. I was watching them side by side today. They had two lines of smoke coming from Smoker's mouth, but they didn't show his two trademark cigars. It's just ridiculous. BoBoBo wasn't that badly done; they seemed to keep all the jokes and thankfully the opening.

And really, how can this even roughly match with the character?

Funny how I think the voices fit the characters perfectly.

I would have to agree, no matter what my 2 brothers say...they are to spoiled by the subbed version to even look at the dubbed version, but I think the voices fit almost flawlessly, so far what ive seen (3 episodes) they were really well done.

Of course, SamuraiX, if you watched a whole 10 seconds (wow, that's alot), you would've only seen the opening theme (which is horrible. But then again, most beginning themes are horible, japanese or not)

Yeah, I'm not really sure what everyone's all broken up about, I think the intro and outro are fine. It's not like they have much to do with telling the story, they're the same damn thing every show anyway.

From reading what everyone says I'm starting to think that voice actor preferences are really a matter of taste. No one is ever going to be fully happy with their choices. Rabid fanboys aside, I think they did an okay job at making Naruto just American enough that American kids will actually watch it without losing the spirit and genius of the original.

Rapid fanboys are just like that, Kirbynite. What more could you expect?

Glad to see that there's still hypercritical people in the world.

English dubs killed Naruto. I watched 10 seconds of the "dubbed" version and vomited. Here is a visual description to give you an idea of what these "translators" did.

Heh, just make sure you can stand the name choices. The cartoon's edits have been better in my honest opinion from those that were in the comic.

I can't remember names either in my real life or of any characters anyway, so I doubt it'll bother me. In general I like animation better than still comics anyway, I just can't get enough Naruto right now.

He's also around 12 or so, so I think his voice is fine, honestly.

I've read the manga, I think I liked the Japanese version better in many ways, but I've not noticed any real edits between excluding name choices (I've only read up to the third volume and then I just quit).

Hm, well if there's no real edits I'm just gonna get the American stuff. Cheaper.
