The Famicom, Japanese NES, didn't have a expansion slot like the NES features one. It had an expansion slot mainly designed for additional controllers or light guns ect. The Modems or microphones (Not counting the built in one in the second controller), where mostly built in cartrdiges, and the Famicom Modem was even a Nintendo-Product (For banktransfers and stock trading).

Actually, quite a few things use the GameCube's slot.

That BS system was only for SNES.

And yes, there was NES teleplay. Which never did get released, it was unlicensed anyway.

And well, each Nintendo console have a expansion port. On N64 it was used for N64DD and on Gamecube it was used for Gameboy player...

Wasn't there a BS expansion system that hooked up to it? (or maby that was for snes?) Anyway, it received satillite signals that beemed games to the thing. You had to pay for it, and I think it was only japanese. The more I talk about it the more I think it was for snes, but I could be wrong

Many things were planned back at that time (search the net for 'nes teleplay modem'), one would be able to get stock quotes and buy stuff online (even if i don't think the term 'online' existed back then )

Absoloutely none.

(unless there's one I don't know about, but I'm 90% positive there weren't any)

(you can even count in japanese ones)
while I had my old NES console open, I found an expansion slot at the bottom
