There really isn't much question to it, is there... Mario easily owns the other two... Though link comes a close second...
And Anya, as much as I dislike Sonic altogether, I have to agree with you... Old sonic owns new sonic... Old sonic required at least some skill, the new sonic games are basically 'hold up on the dpad/analogue stick, and time your jumps correctly' games... |

yes that song, Group X. god dammit they are goood but thats off topic. It would a close one between Link and Sonic but for me it would have to be Sonic. i have played the games since i was very young on the megadrive (genesis) and loved them so much, and then on the dreamcast (best thing ever made) and then finally sonic heroes on the gamecube which wasn't so good, but i am plpanning to get some others on GC.
Link comes second because of the games (this excludeds windwaker because he was not in it) OOT and MM were so good and then Master Quest was good (still haven't finished it o.O) Link, Hero of Time, just such a cool title. He looks good as well, that green outfit rocks.
Mario comes last. Sorry to all those Mario fans out there but i never really did get into Mario. I did play some of the games quite a bit and i nevere really did know why i did because when i think about it...well it's hard to explain....just weird. He's still pretty cool, he's a plumber ^.^ |

I have to go with Sonic. I played a little of Zelda and Mario but I grew up with Sonic since I was 6 or 5 years old. Until I sold my sega which was a bad idea. I liked the Sonic games more but I kinda like Mario too. I take Sonic over all though  . |

Sonic, you my boy. Sonic has to be the best. He was the reason and the only games i had on my sega genesis. I had all three main ones, along with s&k and spinball. And his show was awesome. Sonic was the coolest of the cool, but his newer games don't match his older ones. |

Parappa would top the list IMHO, he kicks arse, Him, Lammy and Vibri. Faling that Sonic's just as cool.

I think mario is the badest. Sonic was the coolest character and his history is better than all 3. Link is good coz of the mint games and mario is at the bottom. He's a plumber but site has good games. |

Anyway, my list of preferred Gaming Characters is like this:
Lolo > MegaMan > Mario > Link > Sonic
So I guess I'll vote Mario, then... |

Link. Although both him and Mario save their princesses, Link uses a sword, bombs, boomerangs, etc., while Mario just stomps or shoots fireballs from his hands. No contest! |

Mario and Sonic really aren't that similar. Mario focuses more on tedious jumps, while Sonic focuses on blazing fast reaction speeds.

This is a real toughie - Mario's got all the powerups and the oldschool appeal; Link has a badass sword and he's a pimp; and Sonic, quite simply, is the fastest thing alive.
I'm going to have to go with Link on this one. He could chop up Mario, and he's simply got more ladies than Sonic ever will. |
