Very possible. But the old "from" connection must leave the screen to be replaced with the new "to" conn.

Probably explains my crap marks for physics in science. *is stupid at physics while smart at biology/chemistry *

I wonder if it's possible to make a map that you enter one way, and exit a different way.

probably requires some working out, but it'd be funny to see.

Actually, Gywall, it's a Law of Physics.

Map A is vertically connected to Map B with a road crossing the border.

Map A's road piece starts at the horizontal position of 5, Map B's road piece starts at 10.

B is more to the right than A, so the offset is 10 - 5 = 5.
Since A is to the left, you just take the other value and negate it into -5.

RoadPos = tile position of one side of a road or other boundary-crossing landmark

Difference = RoadPos(B) - RoadPos(A)
Connection offset from A to B = Difference
Connection offset from B to A = -Difference

Since I'm not much of a math wiz, I could have those last two statements mixed up.

i usualy find the offsets are

X/Y (map 1): n
X/Y (map 2): -n

n being a variable number. So if n was 5:
X/Y (map 1): 5
X/Y (map 2): -5

Usualy works, I think. Not hacked in a while.

NooNoo: No one word posts. It's a rule.

Tony: If you mean to say that you're already doing it yourself, you should be ashamed to have said it at all. If NooNoo wants to remake Johto, that's his problem.

oh? And what exactly is that supposed to mean? (edited for quantity)

I've never really had this problem before, any of the times ive fooled around with elitemap. It looks like a glitch to me.

By the way, thats Violet in Johto, isn't it?

the trees are part of the border, so thats no good.

By George, I think I've got it!

You see, since those are two separate maps, you just have to use Elitemap to change the trees to that path, and voila! That's the easy way out!

That I did. Matter of fact, the map connections were working fine prior to changing one of the map's layout. I've tried changing offsets in EM 3.6, but no working. The same problem is also happening with the map that was connected on the other side:

same happens on both sides of the map i started on.

It might be a glitch if you ask me. Something you might have to check out. interdpth said he had the same problem once.

Connections go two ways. You must define a conn from B back to A ass swell.

Alrigh, well I set two maps to be able to able to connect (using Elitemap), and was able to have it so that it was lined up correctly. Now here's my dillemma (lets call it Map A, B, and C)

I start at map A, which is linked to B, and the edge of B shows up at the edge of A. I walk onto B just fine. Now I walk south towards C, and back up into B. I go to the place where A is supposed to line up with B, but all there is is trees.
