One more reason I avoid "Official" Ragnarok Online: Too much shit just to play the damned thing.

What I'm saying is this:
I live in the U.S.A. I like RPGs. I find Ragnarok Online, and want to play. I look at the monthly fee, and decide that if I like it, $15/mo. isn't too bad. I go to download the client, and DENIED! Gravity just lost a potential customer in me. At that point, since Gravity has already lost me, it shouldn't matter to them if I play on a private server. They've already decided they don't want my money.

When you look at all the countries that aren't Korea, Gravity is only hurting themselves. By only allowing people in Korea to download the client, it's essentially Gravity's own fault that there are private servers.

It makes sense if the kRO download is the only way to play the game since it's used as a base for the private servers.

I don't think it would cost them that much - if the IP's from Korea or country X, you let the download commence. If not, then block it. If nothing else, I can understand the logic although it's ridiculously simple to get a kRO client download; you just need to put in a few minutes of searching.

Yay for Gravity's logic: They don't want private servers being run because they lose money from people playing on them. But they won't let anyone outside of Korea download the client for their game.

Which one do you think costs them more money every month?

If what was said on the tRO boards is correct, Gravity doesn't allow anyone outside Korea to download kRO. Your best bet is to find a torrent of it.

Hey, I have been looking on where to find a link to download Kro, but they all seem down, if you have a link to the file it would be great to have, so I can get the game.
