This question is somewhat off-topic, but is there any way to get super batter up to work with ZSNES? I've tried many different copies of the rom and I can't get it to work with ZSNES, it only works with snes9x, which I don't like as much. Thanks in advance.

Well, I downloaded it and had a go.

This is the SNES version of RBI Baseball! (In Japan, it's called "Family Stadium".) Wow, I had no idea it was even released in the US!

Looking for the graphics, I can't seem to find the big digital numbers (used on the scoreboard) or the team abbreviations used there at all. Maybe they're compressed?

If you can't ever find them, you could always keep the team names intact. couldn't figure out how to edit uniform colors in Baseball SImulator 2 until my hack was almost done, so I ended up naming my teams so that their colors lined up with the Japanese originals.

I was just changing some of the player stats but not all. Sort of making a best of - for each team. I keep some player exactly the way they are and add one or two greats for each team. (For example - added Mike Schmidt and Jim Thome to the Phillies) I could do and updated season but that would take a lot of time!

I use TILE LAYER PRO and change the format to GameBoy (the 2 SNES views show me nothing) to see the team names (example - OAK, NY, CLE, etc.) I then use the +/- keys to make the team abreviation come in more clearly.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

A fellow baseball game hacker!

I'll find the ROM and give it a try; maybe I can help.

What kind of hack are you preparing?

Hi,

I am currently "hacking" SUPER BATTER UP for the SNES (playable only on the SNES9x). I can edit the Player Names, Home Runs, Batting Average, LH, RH, Speed (all player data) with no problem using HEX EDITOR XV132.

I have also changed TEAM NAMES using TILE LAYER PRO. The problem is that the team names are only changed on certain parts of the game. I changed tiles for the team names in the Main Playing Screen and the Inning Summary. I can't change the team names for the scoreboard or the selection screen. I CAN'T find them to edit them.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong??
