Tuxydon leaps backward to get out of the way of the flailing arm.

"You freaked me out, that's why. You put your arms... there, and your legs somewhere else... Ugh, it's an upsetting picture. And since fear makes people hostile, what did you expect me to do? Eh?"

It's getting late. Sunset is upon them...

Kalar: "Gaaaaack!"

As his electrically conducive arm is exposed to the current, Kalar is heavily shocked and overcome with the burst of lightning. In order to minimize the damage as much as he can, Kalar tries to ground himself by stomping his metal foot into the ground and letting the electricity pass out of him that way. It succeeds, but when Kalar withdraws his leg, he is quite dismayed to find that his arm is randomly and uncontrollably jerking in various directions.

"Ah, this is pretty familiar. I remember this happening to me once when I was trying to change a lightbulb, it wore off eventually, but I had a hell of a static shock for some time."

He seems completely unfazed as his arm, with rapier in hand, continues to move and twist and contort itself. In fact, his rapier is being swung at his head and body several times, but for some reason Kalar doesn't even notice, nonchalantly dodging his own strikes....

"So anyway, until this wears off, mind telling me why you're so intent on hurting me?"

His arm is rather creepy, and seems to almost have a life of its own.

Tuxydon does his best to defend himself with the staff. He is surprised, though, and is slashed once by the rapier on the arm. The second thrust is blocked by a horizontal movement of Tuxydon's staff... and that's all it takes.

The staff is a Storm Rod, a weapon containing an electrical discharge. As the weapons connect, the discharge thravels through the rapier to shock Kalar. Since he is a cybornetic being, who knows how extra electricity would affect him... The charge rebuilds in Tuxydon's weapon over several turns.

If Kalar is stunned by the shock, Tuxydon takes the opportunity to strike him atop the head with an overhead blow with the staff. If not, Tuxydon does his best to deflect the rest of the blows with his staff, possibly taking another hit (or not).

Kalar: "Whoa!"

In an effort to keep his balance, Kalar digs his steel leg into the ground, and then squats down on it, only to extend it and pump himself into the air several dozen feet. He sails over Tuxydon's head and lands behind him, his weapon's clear blade poking rapidly in a flurry of thrusts!

OOC: Whoopsie. I was thinking halberd for some odd reason. Lemme try this again...

Knowing an edged weapon is the hardest to take on using the shark knife, Tuxydon tries a different tactic.

The item he draws now he only carries occasionally. It's a tiny stick made of an unknown material. He spins it and throws it in the air, and it extends in length until it's as long as the rapier Kalar wields. Tuxydon catches it again.

"Fine, I'll play your game first, then you play mine."

Tuxydon sheaths the shark knife and wields the staff with both hands. He then begins spinning it like a helecopter blade in front of him, and a gust begins to blow. As the staff continues to spin, the gust becomes a strong gale, and then a razor-sharp strong gale. Tuxydon is trying to throw off the balance of his foe before he gets close enough to harm Tuxydon with that blade of his...

Tuxydon wonders how he can detour this weapon from Kalar. Even with the shark knife, i'll be a little difficult on a pole-weapon. But he'll give it a try.

Tuxydon whips out two throwing knives, which both immolate themselves as he chucks them at Kalar, one aimed high and one aimed low. Using that as a diversion, he attempts to get in the fray a little, bringing himself closer to Kalar's deadly rapier but holding the shark-knife out to catch it if it comes near. Tuxydon attempts to get the metal end of the rapier caught in the maw of the blade where he can easily twist it away, or cut it off if the former fails. That is, if it comes close enough...

And Kalar suffers a rather large whack to the face, but is knocked conveniently to the ground, where he rolls to the side before the black-ethered fist can hit him.

He gets to his feet, wipes a spot of blood from his lip, and runs over to his detached chain blade, picking it up and holding the broken ends of the chain together. They magically bind back together, and Kalar is equipped with a weapon once again! He celebrates his victory by ditching it immediately, causing the weapon to change into a basket-hilted rapier, which he whips back and forth several times...

The swipe slashes his right leg, but doesn't stop the attack.

OOC: Short post. Meh.

OOC: School = fun. I've also been planning.

Kalar's swipe is directed straight between the kicking fiend's legs...

Needless to say, if all goes well, he won't have to worry about dodging. If not, consider him floored. For at least a few moments, anyway.

OOC: Okay, ya fixed it. Dude, where ya been, eh? Eh?

As Kalar runs at Tuxydon, he leaps in the air, feet out, and spins twice, delivering an aerial kick combo timed to strike Kalar multiple times as he comes in range. He finishes his combo with a crushing, black ether-coated fist smash to the head when he lands.

"Are you quite done yet, you whimpering ninnyhammer?"

OOC: Eeek, didn't notice this... Or that.

The problem with jerking a weapon out of someone's hands is that the thing you want to jerk it out with has to be attached to the weapon. Since Tuxydon broke the chain, there wasn't anything for him to jerk.

Nevertheless, Kalar was stumped. His weapon currently had been reduced to a stick with a bit of chain on it, and now he had to go through the trouble of finding the pointy end of it. He wiggled the broken part a few times, and watched the chain rattle in an almost infantile way. Then, shrugging, he turned toward Tuxydon, raised the stick above his head, and ran toward him, ready to whack him in the head with it!

Kalar: "Gyaaaaaaaa!!!!"

OOC: Wait a moment, didn't I just break the chain? Ah well...

As he's speaking and as the attack moves toward him, he hooks the knife around the base of the blade to catch the weapon, then he strongly jerks the knife backward to throw the ensnared weapon out of Kalar's hands (assuming the ensnare worked).

That... is the weapon's special ability.

Tuxydon would probably want to dodge the blade-on-a-chain that got sent toward his chest while he was saying "Nothing your weapon can do compares to the beauty of this knife"...

Kalar: "Two halves make a whole!"

And yeah, he's still grinning.

3 seconds would have been the amount of time it took for the Blade Boomerang to cut them both off. But 2 seconds later, Tuxydon had managed the impossible...

"HIIYAAA!!"

His whole body is engulfed in a split-second flume of black ether as he thrusts his arms outward, breaking the chain and throwing Kalar off of him. He then deftly lifts his hand to catch the Boomerang before it cuts anyone. It was a split-second burst of strength that saved him, as well as the ability to catch a spinning, razor-sharp object without error... (Of course, he's always managed to catch his own Boomerang without letting it cut him.)

"You know what I mean! You did-- THAT-- with your arms and legs! And now you're trying to kill us both! Damn, do you know what Schwa would say right about now? Probably something like 'You are dishonorable!' " The voice to go with that quote sounded hilarious coming from this guy. "And I'd agree with him. You are acting like a half-mad, half-insane maniac! And I intend to stop you!"

Tuxydon now picks up the knife on the ground next to him, the one he'd been trying to get to before. It looks scary when threatened with. "Nothing your weapon can do compares to the beauty of this knife," Tuxydon warns. He steps forward in an offensive stance.

Kalar: "Go where?"

In the time it takes to dodge-roll forward and beneath the boomerang's first blow, Kalar has changed his weapon again: the scythe blade is more curved now, and has detached from the main shaft, which has shortened into a small weight and is attached to the blade by a chain, concealed within the weapon's previous shaft!

With a flick of his wrist, he sends the blade flying past Tuxydon, attempting to ensnare him in the chain. At the same time, he rolls himself forward (to give the chain an amount of tension to come wrapping around Tuxydon), pulling the chain around himself. If all goes right, the end result will be that the two of them are tied together by the chain, more or less face to face, as the boomerang heads back to slice both of their heads off...

Kalar grins at Tuxydon, and seeing his eyes closer than ever suggests that he is in an extremely wrong presence of mind at this point.

"Dodge."

After Tuxydon nailed Kalar with the elbow, he had time to draw his prime weapon before Kalar struck back-- a peculiar knife that, when viewed from the side, looks like the mouth of a shark. Basically it's a knife with two blades, one "tooth" (a small scythe) and a larger, curved scythe behind that one. Tuxydon uses this knife to cut the Pheonix wings off after he's fallen them, but it also has another unique use... in battle...

Tuxydon holds the knife downward to catch the scythe, and he tries to land the scythe's blade inside the "maw" of his shark-knife. He fails, though, having a hard time tracking the transparent weapon of his opponent, and the scythe glances off Tuxydon's weapon. This, though, causes the weapon to fly out of Tuxydon's hand.

He looks backward and eyes the knife on the ground behind him. In 3 seconds, he tries a tactic to get it back. Quickly he draws some kind of curved item from his belt and unfolds it; it's a razor-sharp Boomerang!

He deftly throws the Blade Boomerang at Kalar and it heads toward his neck. If the attack misses, it'll curve around and reach his back 7 seconds later. Tuxydon draws a second Boomerang in case needed, as he runs backward to pick up his shark-knife.

"Why did you even GO there!!?"

Kalar: "HaHA!"

The insane fellow catches Tuxydon's wrist in his metal hand, but is knocked flat by the elbow jab to the head! He windmills upward, and instantly the scythe is off his back, as Kalar does a quick backflip, slashing upward and leaving an afterimage of the scythe's near-transparent blade!

OOC:

Too late. It had already affected Tuxydon to Kalar's desired extent...

"Noooooooo!!! Die, I say!"

All sense of self-control lost, Tuxydon charges forward and tries a crushing downward blow with black ether-coated fists to Kalar's torso. But how does Tuxydon know Psi, the spiritual power only Psi Warriors can use? Tuxydon once inhabited Schwa's body, and while there, he took the time to learn some of his techniques by heart. He offered to give them up after converting to Good, but Sensae told him he'd need them.

Tuxydon's melee ether attacks are WAY stronger than Schwa's... 40% stronger, in fact. However, he can't use the instant speed blinks like Schwa can, making his effectiveness not as high as Schwa's. Still... ya wouldn't want to be hit by his melee attack. Not ever.

After delivering the first blow, Tuxydon attempts a combo (only works if Attack One didn't miss) with a crushing elbow jab in the head, no ether in play but still pretty strong.

Kalar's steel leg fires upward, kicking the knife high into the sky, only to have it land on the ground, quivering, several seconds later...

Kalar: "Oh, it's not that freaky... Look, I can do it with my leg, too!"

And with that, he slams a fist into his thigh, as the knee connector for his artificial leg pops loose. He then does something extremely odd, and replaces his leg with his arm, and his arm with his leg!

"Now THIS is freaky... I like to do it once in a while to creep people out!"

Judging by the look on Tuxydon's face, Kalar suddenly realizes he may have gone a bit too far, and replaces his limbs to their proper positions...
