Well, if you're certain about it, then it removes that possibility. I have to ask you once again, to post the full path to the directory your ROM is in. I assume it's something like this:

c:\Documents and Settings\[your profile name]\.....

That may be wrong, but if it's not, the '....' part at the end is what matters the most. I realize that that information is pretty much useless, given the stuff we've tried already, but I ask for it, to be able to show you what to type in, and if that doesn't work, I'm stumped

No it is SUper Mario 2, cause when I play it with my emulator it is Super Mario 2. I wonder what i am doing wrong?

I'm not completely certain on this, but maybe the ROM you have isn't even Super Mario Bros. 2 I wonder that, because I'm using XP too, and I could open the ROM fine. Check your PM's for a link to a site that has the ROM, and see if that one works.

It still does not work I really which I knew what to do. Why cound't he explain it in his notepad? It says path not found with the backslashes. I have the Rom in the same file as the editor Called smb2ed. Does the windows program matter I have XP.

Do you have the ROM in the same directory as the editor? If so, you'd type 'smario2.nes', assuming the extension on your rom is .nes. If, however, the ROM's in a different directory than the editor, you'd do this. In my example, we'll say the editor's in c:\NES\EDITORS\, and the ROM is in c:\NES\ROMS.

You would type ..\ROMS\smario2.nes

The '..' tells the program to go up one directory level before trying to find the next folder in the path.

If you still have problems, post the full path to your ROM and to the editor, and we'll see what we can do

I try entering my rom but it just makes a stupid sheet of paper in the same file as the editor and will not load the game. My rom's name is smario2 so what do I enter?
