Yeah, I'm sorry I wasn't descriptive enough in that doc. I just cracked open the Final Facelift patch in IPSelect and got all the chunks from there. So yeah, what you do is patch those chunks in IPSelect to a clean ROM and there ya go. In other words, what everyone else said.
Kefka: You probably should... keep getting the same questions, like ya said. |

crystal dragon: those offsets are tile offsets; just scroll to those locations in tile layer to see what it means. |

If you are lazy enough, you could use FFacelift as your base instead of the original FF...
EDIT: Maybe someone (I could, I have enough time ) should make an FAQ for FF hacking... because usually the same questions are asked over and over on this forum... I've gotten 5 questions via PM about stuff that I've answered twice at the old forum already |

Exactly, just compare the two ROMs with a hex editor wich supports comparing and you're all set. |

The Facelift bytes is a description of the "Final Facelift" hack which can be found here. The idea is, you compare the hack to the original ROM to see what was changed. The doc tells you what area of the hack does what. |

Ok, I've just downloaded FF1bytes from one of the forum. The one I'm having problem understanding is "Faceliftbytes"
* $37620-$3762B: Changes orbs to crystals in menu. $37651-$3774F: Changes orbs to crystals in menu. $37771-$3780F: Changes orbs to crystals in menu. *
Ok, so I read the doc but it didn't tell me to change the bytes in $37620.
I hope someone get what I'm saying.
