Well, romhacking is self motivated, rarely do I see it that people just pick up projects others suggest. If I knew more Japanese I'd look for a patch through them, I'd bet some crazy Japanese kid already did this... considering it was mainly released there.

It's your chance to be famous.

Yes, one of the Bomberman games could, though I can't remember which one (I played it over netplay once, and there is a 5P option in the game, so yeah)

The issue however, is it can only connect two computers over netplay.
Thus, more than one person would need to be playing on one of the two computers.
So eh.. Besides, three people could play on just one computer, the request has merit to it.

Oh, oops. I was under the impression that you just couldn't support it period. That's all I was ever told and I didn't even think about two people on one client comp and two people on a server comp.

Score as in Music? Jeremy Soule man. (Also did Total Annihilation, an awesome RTS nobody cared about)

Whoa ... but yeah, highly doupt that. ;P

But anyways, I loved playing SoM with friends, and Seiken 3 is easily one of my all time favorite games, I'd definitely say this would be cool if it were to come true.

The only problem with that, if you did something like that, and had multi-tap enabled, you'd have to wait for the netplay to work right with it. Unless there's an emu that works for more than two players in netplay, there's really no point unless you have three controllers hanging out of your comp (which I could do with a keyboard and two controllers that I have, but some have to use a keyboard).

The game itself isn't that bad, actually...and this would DEFINITELY be something people will want to make if and when 3-5 player netplay becomes available (because this is definitely one of the hits on places like zbattle for RPGs) but aside from that, there's not too much point in doing something like that.

"Soule", you wouldn't be Jeremy, would you? I loved the Evermore soundtrack.

I guess not everyone had a multitap. I think that most everyone that bought Secret of mana back in the day had at least wished they had a multi-tap. I know I thought about it along time. I eventually did buy one. Me n my friends had a hella time playing that in 3 players.

Well, probably b/c not everyone had a multitap. Then again, you would figure that someone who played SD2 would play SD3 and already have a multitap for 3-players.

I was not much a fan of the game too back when I heard of it coming out in japan. I was anxious at the thought of a mana 2 but changed my mind when I heard it was to be only 2 player. So um, a 3-player mode sure would be nice to see. If I still had rpg playing friends I'd probably give it a whirl too.

I don't understand why they included a third character in there to follow you around if you couldn't play as it. Maybe the game was rushed to the store shelves before the 3 player mode could be incorperated. This game came out near the end of SNES's life cycle after all.

I asked emailed FuSoYa shortly after he released his patch and he replied in the negative.
He was polite and courteous in his reply.
I am sure someone with knowledge better than myself who is willing to do it can get help from him. He has been postive all the time

I will also want to add that whoever who really makes this will get a high reputation increase.. and I am speaking worldwide here! haha

Probably an award here as well..haha

ive asked fusoya before (like 3 months ago) and he said that he will probably not add a 3 player-mode to sd3 because he doesnt like the game very much.
i think its feasible, but sd3 is a bitch to hack, everything is coded rather dynamic and well, difficult to come by.

I don't know about a multiplayer option for that game, but it would be neat to see Unfortuantely, I don't know how you'd do that

On the topic of a forum search function, there isn't one for this board. From what I remember, it used up too much of the resources or something You can, however, use this search, but I haven't tried it out yet, so I'm not sure whether it works well or not.

Sorry but I have to get this off my chest so forgive me if it is offensive..

FuSoYa quoted briefly in the Zophar forums that although the project was challenging yet short, he managed to incorporate a 2 player hack in Secret of Evermore.

For Seiken 3, with a reference of Seiken 2 and existing 2 player code already, and a large fanbase, I am surprised that there aren't any experts around to research on a SD3 - 3 player hack. I am sure this is on everyone's wishlist?

Of course I can try to do everything by myself, but I think someone who already knows ASM can do it very easily rite? (with those references)

Lastly, doesn't this forum as a search function? I was trying to search for an exisiting topic on SD3 but couldn't find the function!
