Well this won't be "improved" upon: this was intended to do that so if you're flying and land on another area, you can't just start running and fly again instantly, practically flying through a level with no trouble at all. This feature stays in |

I'll assume this is also in SMB3, but nonetheless, It's something that could be improved..
In the area where you get the Racoon Power up, and are able to fly...
If you run, get the turbo bar full, jump, turn around, then run, Luigi doesn't really hold his arms up while "charged" like normal. Also, if you try and fly, you won't get much luck....
If you are running for a long enough time, the bar may also suddenly empty...
Hope I described that well enough.
EDIT: It's in the original game... I should know that..
It'd be cool if it was fixed though. |

Anyways, holding up in the air and pressing A with Raccoon Luigi will make him do a multi jump. Each jump subtracts 10 coins from your total. If you have no coins, he can't double jump. However, I may take that feature out in the final. |

I think I found a bug, well sort of. If you defeat all the enemies in an area that makes the spiny blocks disappear, and if you then either use the mouser suit or pick up an ice block, the blocks will re-solidify for as long as the sprite is on screen. This could be used to make a few cool puzzles.
Edit: In addition, I have also noticed that at rare times, while on a vine and am racconn luigi, I noticed that it could be possible to do what looks like a double jump. Now sure what triggers this, but if altered, you could have an ability that allows you to do a sort of metroid like wall jump.
Anywho, eneough with the suggestions. I just need to learn to keep my mouth shut. |

No matter what you call it, getting stuck in a room with no where to go, no way to die, and no way to exit is generally referred to as a "bug". But enough of that. |

I really like the new suits that Luigi has now, very well done. I cannot wait for the full version. Awsome demo too btw. |

*Jumps out of DD's mouth*
Oh yeah, don't go past the Pipe in the end of the first part of the level, where you're upside down...
Well, don't do it three times.
Also, if you try and glitch through the ice blocks. (Burn a lower one, duck underneath and stand) you can do some really trippy things.
It screws with Luigi's collision detection, but the fireballs work fine.
*Is quickly re-eaten*
EDIT: *Shouts out* Also, if you hit the vine in the Lava area while running with the Power-Bar full, you spin up it, instead of climbing!

Way to make me feel like an ass!
Well, this is what happens when you get too excited to pay attention to the important details.
And now, to test...

Okay... panda suit is freaking fun... like that's all there is to it. The Boomerang suit is nice, the Mouser suit is pretty cool... but the Panda suit is freaking amazingly fun. |

Hey,
Obviously this isn't your problem, as everyone else seems to be able to use it all right, but I seem to be having some trouble. I've tried applying both patches to both ROMs (even tried switching them around to see if something got mixed up somewhere -- applying _01 to the PRG-0, for instance), but I can't seem to get any of them to work, and I didn't see any other special comments in the readme file... I even tried three different IPS patchers, thinking mine was effed up, but I still got the same results;
Every time I patch it, the title screen loads, the map loads, I move Luigi to level one and start, the screen fades out... and the game freezes.
Anybody have any ideas? I've patched both of these ROMs plenty of times before, so as far as I know they're not corrupt. |

It still is a great way to distribute a demo though, if you don't want anything else included in the rom.
I suggest you just deal with the bugs untill he releases the final
I fail to see how skipping a required suit by walking the entire length of the fortess ceiling has any relation to logging? Once you exit the fortress, you cannot return for the boomerang suit. That is what we call a genuine bug.

Now you know I wasn't gonna let this thread slide without me saying anything right?
1. Training level kicks ass. 2. I like the way you have to defeat certain enemies in order to pass. 3. SMB2J Luigi style rocks. 4. The Panda Suit & Mouser Suit, awsome as bloody hell! 5. There ain't no five, cause I'm not reporting bugs (I'm scared of Dingos)
I can't wait for the final product, Mucho Excellente! |
