I heard it an hour ago....at first I didnt remember who he was, until I saw him...well atleast it wasnt a tragic death....he died peacefully, and at the age of 79 |

I remember watching the show when I was a kid because my mom used to love him. It's sad to see a legend like that die. |

I never seen his show...
You have probably seen some of his bits though (particularly "Carnac"). Many of them have passed into the popular culture. Letterman and Conan both employ his style of hosting; Leno does not.
I understand he did a lot for the Late Night Show
That is a large understatement. It is safe to say that without Carson's influence, the late night talk show as you know it would probably never have existed.

Haven't seen a website for it yet, but he was 79 years old and one of the funniest guys out there. |
