IIRC Photoshop doesn't do animated GIFs natively, and I think that's what he was referring to.
No, but you can open it in ImageReady, which converts each frame to a layer, and transfer to Photoshop. But it is pretty stupid that PS can't do that itself. Just like how it won't open a JPG with the extension renamed to GIF or vice-versa. (It does happen. Then I have to open it in Hex Workshop to see WTF is up. ) |

Sometimes I have trouble telling x.o. To me it just looked like you were being mean because you thought that color changing stuff was lame. |

Yeesh, ligten up. It's not like he's saying "OMG I'm the best photoshop/graphics guy EVER. WATCH what I can do, babies, it will blow your minds!" While color changes aren't the most impressive thing in the world that's hardly a reason to be a jerk to someone who just came on the board.
As for animated picture palette editing, that's easy enough. Since gifs are indexed color all you need to do is view and edit the palette. If you have things organized well enough it should be a breeze. |

If that's the case then thumbs down to photoshop. Are you sure? I would think photoshop would do something like that, Corel Photopaint does, photoshop has to. |

Jasc Animation Shop 3.0 has a recoloring option that replaces color A with color B in all the frames. I sometimes just use Paint to color stuff... |

I read the PM uly, and I thought you were changing them without doing each individual frame. I know how to extract the frames (I use Irfanview) and colour them (PS), but I wanted a program that would open the file while it was still moving and color it while it was still moving. Your method is good to. |

Open image xyz in your fav photo editor. Color mask. Hue shift. Go to next frame. Rinse. Wash. Repeat. |
