It's extriemly unlikley that it's going to play straight mp3's on a disc. You would need a disc program that would play them for you. |

Just checked; my PS2 plays burned DVD videos just fine. I doubt, however, that it's set up to read any kind of video file from a regular CD, other than those from PS1 games where they're told to play by the game code. |

That's not really true, the PS2 has a BIOS/bootROM which does that. Plus, I think he's asking whether the built-in video software can do it. I've been told it won't read burned movies at all, but I don't have any to try it with. If anything though, I think you'd need to burn it to a DVD. |

alright, thanks guys. I do know for sure that my PS2 wont read mp3 discs (have tried), but maby the newer ones can (I got mine 2 years after they first came out). Oh well, I will try the disc and let you know if it worked out.
EDIT:
Nope, didn't work Oh well... |

Well, I know that the GameShark dudes have an app for the PS2 that can play MP3s, WMAs, videos, etc. |

I found a video on the net that I D/L'ed, and I wanted to burn for play on my PS2. I only have regular CD discs, and a CD-burner, so I wanted to know if its possible to burn the disc in a format the PS2 can read. Currently, the movie is in .avi format. Any help at all would be great. |
