Check "http://www.fox.com/americandad/home.htm" If that's the case... Then why does it say, "As we confirmed earlier, a sneak preview of the American Dad pilot episode will air Sunday, Feb. 6th after Super Bowl XXXIX". This is not the premiere, it's a preview, like I said.
"American Dad Season One will begin its run on Sunday, May 1st at 9:30/8:30c immediately following the triumphant return of Family Guy at 9/8c on the same night."
I'm telling you, it's not the premiere episode. |

American-Dad.com says the show will air on February 13th on Adult Swim. It will premiere a week earlier on Fox. This isn't a preview...it's the premiere episode. |

American Dad looks... weird. I was totally going for it, it sounded cool. That is until I heard there's a talking alien as one of the main characters.
There's supposed to be a preview of American Dad after the Superbowl this weekend. |

From what I saw of it, it was pretty funny. Got a Passion of the Christ, Kermit, and a Bed Bath and Beyond reference in there. And that was just the first like 10 minutes. Plus, Seth promised more Evil Monkey, Greased-up Deaf Guy, and Creepy Old Guy! |

I didn't hear great things about the pilot; of course, maybe a lot of stuff's changed around since then. If it succeeds, it'll probably need a little bit of time to catch on. |

I have the entire Family Guy series on DVD, but its still nice to see it getting some air time, outside of Cartoon Network.
This new series seems a bit promising, lets just hope that it is.
I'm not gonna dog the new Family Guy, until I see it. I don't think anything could out do the classic FG, but nonetheless, it might still make us laugh. |

Hey, Seth McFarlane lied to us! He told us Family Guy would be back in March.
Oh well, we were the first ones outside the studio to see footage of the new season. |

New season officially announced by FOX today, and I think everyone expected that announcement. That's at least one series FOX can count on for ratings in the summer.
Seth MacFarlane's other new series, American Dad, will debut the same night, although a preview will be shown after the Super Bowl (well, after the Simpsons which are after the Super Bowl, I think. So late at night).
Plus, to keep the good news rolling, FOX seems to be hitting the wall in regards to reality TV and won't depend on it as much in the near future. See, baby steps towards respectability. |
