I'm currently working on the graphics. Nebio's head is pretty cool, but I have no clue of where to even start on trying to make his body.

I would just like to say that this hack is pretty damned good.

Great challenges, and lots and lots of firebars.

I got this like, a year ago, and he's changed it alot, from that version.

I've just finished the demo of this hack, and there's no game-breaking glitches, which is always good to start off with One thing I really noticed in the first level, that's more of a suggestion, is wherever you have a fire stick attached to a 'normal' block, as in one that Mario (or Nebio, in this case), can break when he's big, at least change it to a block that gives you a coin or powerup, and turns solid after. Otherwise, it looks strange when you break the block, to have a fire stick rotating in midair

I forget the details of how it works, but after I beat the Bowser in the first castle, and was returned to the title screen, I went to start again, and ended up starting at level 4-1 That's not a big deal, but when you say you want to keep the other levels a secret, it might be a good idea to try to find out if there's a way to not allow that to happen

About draining the swimming levels, that's fine. It's your hack, so you're welcome to do what you want. I didn't really mind playing them in the original game, or any other hack for that matter, but at the same time, I wasn't happy when I found myself in one.

Shooting fireballs in a straight line was a bit difficult to get used to, but it's a good change to have in the game. I didn't come across the fast Bullet Bills at all, but if they're anywhere near the speed the fireballs shoot at, that'd be something to see in action

I've been working on this in kind of secret for quite some time. That way I dont have many people hounding me to get it done. With the boredom of being banned, I did a whole bunch of work on it so now it's kind of presentable. That glitch in the screenshot is just the shot not the rom itself. Bowser is there just to throw you off. Swimming levels have been drained. I hate them with a passion. I dont know when the first demo will be. I might release a "world one" demo soon if you guys want me to, but I want to keep the game more unplayed until I get the new graphics into it. Once that is done, I'll probably be content with most of the game.

Thanks for your input, Karadur.

EDIT: In showing of how soon the demo would be up, I've already completed work on the demo. It's a world 1 demo. Have fun! ^^

I honestly never expected to see you making any sort of hack, Nebetsu, but if I had to guess, I'd say one of the reasons for this was because of boredom during your ban Anyhow, I won't dwell on that too long, but instead comment on the screenshots.

It's a nice touch, how you changed 'Mario' into 'Nebio' All four of those screenshots look good. There's nothing wrong in them that I can see, with the exception of a small thing in the last one. The farthest block down of the column that's connected to the left side of the bridge is off by a few pixels. It may even just be something with the screenshot, since I notice that everything below that block is shifted to the left a bit

At first I was going to ask what exactly Bowser was doing in level 4-2, but then I noticed the pallette of it There's a slight chance that could be because you changed Mario's pallette as well, but the color it is right now looks very familiar. Also, having a longer bridge looks neat as well.

Once again, those screens do look nice, although would we be able to see any of a swimming level, since I notice there's none there (that is, if there's one of those levels in the game), or another level type that you didn't show?

Last but not least, the obvious question: how long before we see a demo?

I guess I would have to play it to make a proper judgement, but from the screenies alone, it looks too much like Lost Levels (SMB2 Jap) with changed palettes

So yea, maybe I should test it before making judgements

This is my Super Mario Bros hack. It's pretty good I guess. So far, I've changed some of the graphics and totally remixed some levels and totally redid some levels. I also changed the physics a little bit by making Mario's fireballs shoot straight and making the bullet bills that come out of the cannons shoot MUCH faster. I'm not done yet, though. Most of my levels I've made should undergo a second remix because some of them are too close to original levels, just with a bunch of changes to make them harder. I also want to see what kind of ASM hacks I could incorperate into it. Currently my beta testers are Reiriano and Shadic. Anyways:

Here's a demo

Here's some screenies:

Nebio crossing the lake of fire

First Level! ^^

Those bullets move FAST!

BOWSER?!?!?

Any advice, suggestions, complaints, criticisms, etc would be appreciated. ^^
