Yeah, i thought the fact that you could buy a rocket whenever you felt like it could make hte game a lil easy, but I actually never bought a rocket in my first time through. I used the one rocket you pick up in the weapons case in the fire room to kill the third guy, and then used hte rocket you get from ada. Something funny about the difficulty of the game, i was at GameFAQs and saw one where it said the game was too hard and that htere wasn't enough ammo. I mean, sure, ammo got low sometimes, but nothing like in the old REs, especially the first one with Chris, when there were times all you had was a knife cause you used all your ammo.

Bumpy again, but I didnt get it until recently, (4 days ago or so...) and I beat it just today, and ive gotta say one thing....I CAN never go back to the originals now, not after what this game shows off...if they make more RE's like this, I will definently get them all, and it will be awesome...

the game is awesome, the music is awesome, the guns are awesome, but....guiding ashley around sucks...lol but its not too annoying..

anyway, my first impression was that it was rather easy...but I was WRONG....49 deaths by the end...but all the bosses were KICK ass...not to mention Salazar, that was a awesome boss, the only problem I see is that most bosses can be taken down with 1 rocket...but they are 30,000 and seeing how the other guns are more worth it, I only used it on 2 bosses, Salazar, and Saddler...but other then that Mercenaries mode is awesome, so is Assignment Ada, and im looking forward to beating the game several more times before I get finished with it, im aiming for less deaths and more kills, along with less time in beating it...

A bit of a bump (Sorry for that), but I must post in this here thread. RE 4. Loved it. Only rented it, but beat it once, and was near the end of the Castle second time 'round. I so want to buy it. It's almost a need and it's getting me to want to play all the others again too.

Also, Mercenaries = Pwn.

I just rented it, and am at about 1-3 in the story, saved right before the bastard with the chainsaw. I love the death animation when he gets you... pure.. awesome.

Ok, so I guess that's all it's there for. I'm gonna try saving all the special treasures and try it out, just in case, but I've checked everywhere and nobody says anything about it except for the fact that it positions the camera so you can see the elegant headdress in the ceiling. For now, I'll just leave it at that, thanks.

BTW, the CTW is insane, I love it, makes the game insanely easy, don't mind at all selling my stricker and blacktail to get it. And getting the thermel scope is a must, i didn't do that the first time through, and killing the regenerators was near impossible, basically, i just let loose with the rifle until they died, usually took about 20 shots to do it, now it takes 4-5.

Guru: You can sit in the chair, but that's about it. All the treasure items are just there for money. The most that I can figure is that the way the camera is positioned after you get up points you in the direction of a treasure piece I would have missed otherwise.

Hit- 78%
Enemies Killed- 907
Number of times Died- 42
Completion Time 14:58'53"

Woot. In less then 5 days of having the game. I played for about 8 hours today and the other 7 were on the other 4 days.

Lool, that was a funny little dialogue sequence. I don't get Leon and Ada, it just doesn't seem like they could ever work. Well, who knows. Leon's got the women lined up around the block, what with Ada, Ashley, and lest we forget, Claire.

Nother quick question,

Near the end of the game there is a room with a throne. You see Sadler in that chair, and you can sit down in it, does anyone know how to activate the chair, cause i'm almost positive that there's something that can be done with it. I can't try it now, but I was thinking maybe you need all of hte fully completed crowns, staffs, beerstein, and the such. Any ideas on this.

I admit, I was initially shocked myself until I imagined the following scenario:
Spoiler:
President: Thank you for saving my daughter, Leon. Job well done.
Leon: Thank you, sir. Now, if you don't mind, I gotta go tap that ass.
President: !?!?!

Plus, Ada's still around, so...

Beat the game last night. The final boss was so easy. All I used was my Striker, Rifle, and a Rocket Launcher. The ending wasnt the greatest but it was satisfying and it left the door open for the next chapter of RE.

Don't forget a RL for when you get sick of fighting bosses the fair way. Also, I heard the Red9 is more powerful than the Blacktail, but the Blacktail looks so much better, so I just use that. Also, definately get a magnum, even if you don't upgrade it it's at least as powerful as a fully upgraded semi-auto riffle.

Reid: If you mean the plagas that burst out of thier heads after being shot there, just keep blasting them in the head until they die. In the castle area, though, make sure you don't get too close to the greenish ones that come out of the robed cultists. They kill you in one shot. Learned that the hard way...

Sion: You really don't need the mine thrower, so unless you really like it, don't bother having it around. The TMP you won't need very much after the first half of the game anyway, so don't worry about that. You also may want to get a Magnum sometime after you get to the island, since Magnum ammo becomes reletively plentiful later on.

For the record, my arsenal of choice to finish the game with (for first games):
Tactical Vest
Handgun (Blacktail)
Shotgun (Riot or Striker)
Sniper Rifle (Semi Auto)
Magnum (Either)

I just beat Krauser, he wasnt hard at all once I figured out his pattern and his weak spot. I only used my rifle on him. Id shoot him in his knees until he fell down and then Id shoot him in the head, after like 4 sets of these he was down.

I know own:
A Tactical Vest
A fully upgraded Black Tail
Striker-not upgraded at all
2nd Rifle (I forget the name)- not upgraded at all
Mine Thrower- also not upgraded yet
Rocket Launcher
A like 5 Aid Sprays

I used to own a TMP and a Magnum but after like 2 chapters where I found NO ammo for them I sold them back to that guy.

Wait, the butterfly is the one with a 50 damage rating. Someone said that it was the Killer7 that had that. Well, seeing as a completely non-upgraded killer7 took down a gigantos in 4 poorly aimed shots (didn't shoot the creature coming out of it's back, used the knife on that) i'm sure when it's upgraded it'll do my bidding pretty well.

There is no special upgrade to the Killer7. I guess they figured that the maxed out Killer7 was strong enough. Besides, the stock Killer7 costs 77,700 as it is.

My advice? Invest in the Broken Butterfly. It's exclusive upgrade jacks up the firepower to 50.0 PER SHOT. Pretty much just point it at whatever you want to die an explosively bloody death.

On a side note, buy a fully upgraded Striker your second time around if you like shottys. The exclusive gives an ammo capacity of 100, pretty much eliminating the need to carry any extra shotgun shells, since they'll most likely go right into the thing when reloading.

Ah, going through this game the second time is so easy. At least these beginig parts. I took down a Gigantos with four shots from my trusty Killer7. Ok, really quick question, just wanna see if me and my friend really know video games as well as we think.

Does the SPECIAL UPGRADE for the Killer7 cost 777,777p or are we crazy? I just have this gut feeling that, due to its name and its insane power, that that's what it's gonna cost.

I don't think I'm getting me an IRL or the CTW until I upgrade all my regular weapons. I mean, I beat the game without those weapons, and it's more fun to use magnuns and shootties and stuff like that.

I just got to the second disk. I beat the last boss on the first disk too quick. I shot the eyeball thing like 5 times with the pistol, then when the little guy popped out I shot a rocket at him and he died instantly!
