Christ, maybe I'll hack it...
Sometimes, that's what you have to do. That's why I got started on Super Dodge Ball. Nobody touched it, and I figure that at least SOMETHING would have been done about it since there are an abnormally high number of Kunio fans.

Well, I'm hacking Super Dodge Ball, if that counts. After that, I'll be moving on to BaseWars, a little known robot baseball game by Konami. |

Why don't you looking-for-ideas guys try hacking some sports games? Nobody works on those at all -- there are no graphics libraries to work from and precious few editors, thanks to the lack of interest. I love hacking baseball games and wish I had people to bat ideas around with. |

I too, am working on a new romhack. But I don't know what to do. Plz tell me what to do.
P.S. Don't assume I don't know what I'm doing. |

Originally posted by paradox thanks everyone, I think i will start a metroid hack... The reason I asked for your oppinions is because I already hacked many games. I asked for programs because Its been nearly a year since i hacked (looking for new utilities) Thanks all, except Lenophis for spamming and being an idiot. Assumes i dont know what i am doing before he gets behind the truth. Sad
due to the fact that you seem to be lacking both A) a brain and B) any amount of creativity and originality, i suscpect your hack will suck massive cock.
Futhermore, i propose that you in fact have no idea what you are doing and, again, suck massive cock.
Sincerely, Gavin. |

1. Metroid 2. Mededit 3. Rehaul?
I'm only suggesting this because mededit is perhaps one of the most easiest editors to use, not too much work is required outside of redesigning levels. But you could take it further from than and use TIle Layer Pro or something to mess around with graphics.
But really, you should just try out multiple things.
When I first got into Rom Hacking I learned up on Hex Editing games, using Editors such as Mededit, Hyrule Magic, Mario Improvement, and messed with graphics in some programs.
Just mess around with stuff if you're new and see what you like and or find easiest to do. |

It's FAR more stable than TLP by a longshot. Easier to use, too. |

I like Tile Layer Pro for graphics hacking. Is there some reason why YY-CHR is better? |

I want peoples decision on this, I am not new at rom hacking but I still need peoples help...
Here is what I need from you.
1) which game should I hack? 2) What programs should I use? (list them please and where I could get them) 3) the turnouts of the game.
So, let's see. You aren't working on a new hack, you have no idea what to do, and you want public opinion about a project you have no idea how to approach. Spam, anyone?
Here's my intake, I can't and won't tell you (or suggest to you) what game to hack. That's all up to you. But good luck with whatever you decide.
Great thanks. That was necessary input.
1) Kirby's Adventure 2) Tile Molestor for gfx 3) whatevah |
