Clever, very clever I love the blockquote lines, it took me a moment to figure ou how you got the angled edges, but then I remembered how borders work

Flash in layout equals MAJOR lag. And stupidity.

It's a pretty nice layout, and the volume bar really adds a lot, however it does eat up a lot of CPU time rendering the thing, so unfortunately I'm going to have to block it.

maybe the header would work better in flash...?

Kicks ass. Really, it does. I was going to PM you saying that, but then I just went to look for the thread about it.

Wow, awesome layout and it's working correctly in Firefox. (That's important!)

Now, I should get that Metal gear solid for Gamecube. Since I never played the orginal...

Damn. I'm starting to wish there was a Pirate ability in Kirby games as I look at the layout prior to Leg's post.

Before the layout set foot on HTML, I thought it was awesomely awesome. And now, I still think it's awesomely awesome

Though.. it still bugs me that there's no static in the pictures. But it's for the best... less stuff to download, heh.

Curse you. Now I want to play MSG: TTS again (don't have a PS2, otherwise I'd be playing Snake Eater).

Look good, like always.

Holy Crap that's awesome. The one layout I have seen here that I want to steal. I won't though.

Well, X-mas is more than over, so it's time for a new layout from JDavis. I'm on abit of a Metal Gear Solid trip at the moment, so I made this layout based on the Codec screen (specifically as it appears in Twin Snakes).

I know what some of you may be thinking at the moment. And yes, I too hear it's amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm, in flap-jaw space, with the tuning fork, does a raw blink on Hara-Kiri rock. Oh, that's not what you were thinking? Then perhaps you were thinking "What? JDavis made a layout with a huge animated gif!? I thought he knew better!" Truth be told, I do know better, but this layout just wouldn't be complete without that. I actually had more animation planned originally, but it became too cumbersome and slow, so I took it down to just the bars.

Oh, the art up there of me and Kirbynite was drawn by Kirbynite and CGed by me. So, props go out to Kirbynite (and me).

Another thing I had originally planned for this layout was a neat drop-down menu of links when one clicks the "MEM." thing under the bars. However, after hours of work and the solution of one problem causing another to appear, I finally said, "Screw it." Still, Jesper did his best to help me with the thing, so he has my gratitude.

For the first time in many months, I have a minipic. And this time instead of just a tiny River City Ransom-styled JDavis head, it's something that matches the layout. Specifically the cardboard box item icon. I'll also point out the chibi JDavis as Snake in the title, and the avatar that uses art from Metal Gear Acid with a quote from Metal Gear Sollid 2.

Let's see... what am I forgetting..? Ah, yes, the quotes and links!

Life isn't just about passing on your genes. We can leave behind much more than just DNA. Through speech, music, literature and movies... what we've seen, heard, felt ...anger, joy and sorrow... these are the things I will pass on. That's what I live for.

We need to pass the torch, and let our children read our messy and sad history by its light. We have all the magic of the digital age to do that with. The human race will probably come to an end some time, and new species may rule over this planet. Earth may not be forever, but we still have the responsibility to leave what traces of life we can. Building the future and keeping the past alive are one and the same thing.

You're that ninja.

Edit: Oh, and like all my layouts, it's designed to work in 800x600 or higher, stretching to fit the resolution. Also as always, I tested it in both Firefox and IE, so people on both ends of the browser spectrum should see it correctly.
