Something like that...
You're not playing as Mario, but as something a little bit inferior.

I can't say I really like the sound of a hack without powerups. It'd be pretty difficult, unless you're hacking in some other method, like a health bar or something.

While I'm here, has HH done any updates to the Reconfigurator? Mine doesn't have the Misc. Stuff open.

Not yet, sorry. I haven't forgotten, though. FYI, the reason that option is disabled is that there isn't actually anything there yet.

Maybe you can change Yoshi to a koopa troopa or something?
I might, as he's only appearing in the ending... who knows?

Also, replacing the mushroom's spritecode with the moving coin served only to create a yellow mushroom

Cheesepie, he can replace fire flowers and feathers with coins in addition to mushrooms to combat the item in to powerup thing

By "no powerups", I mean "No mushroom, flower or cape". Starmen etc. are still fair game.

And make sure the player can't bring items like shells to the goal.

As long as it doesn't screw up the 1UP I'll be fine. Thanks for the suggestion!

How can I change the item that the Princess throws in the final battle? My hack isn't designed for powerups and I wouldn't mind having her just throw a coin or something equally trivial.
