We had this thread a few days/weeks/months ago in gen chat, didn't we? Wasn't there also a link to an article which had people microwaving the money to get rid of the chips?

People I've talked to don't know what this really means. They think they're "OMG GPS TRAKING U CUDNT HIDE".

I think it's the actual tracking devices that people really need to know about.

Does it really matter, if they can't truely track who has the dollar it is fine, as long as they don't make it so it can spy on me I'm happy. This does kind of remind me of my mom's comspiracy theory about cameras being in the T.V.s whatching whatever you do, especially while you are whatching them.

...Because when your nations money gets counterfeited it means that your dollars theoretical value goes down because it means that (if it isn't controlled quickly) there is too much volume...Blah, blah, blah, blah....Economics, Adam Smith.

Really, Sonicandtales, you have to...Voice yourself a little better.

Why are we putting little units in dollar presidents eyes, when we should be putting as much money as we can into Iraqi civilization!

I doubt it'll really catch anyone, just be a big hassle.

Although, I have nothing against it, other than the fact that I don't want too much time to be spent on it.

It's RFID and I don't see any such headline on CNN at the moment.

RFID is fine by me, and not as scary as people make it out to be. A lot of privacy Luddites are up in arms over the things because they seem tot hink the government or private individuals will use it to spy on people, but it is just not practical enough to be worried about, IMO.

Have you heard about how they haev little RDIF(sp?) units in 20 dollar bills now that not only track the bill, but if too many are close to eachother in your wallet or pocket they will set off a store alarm, because you may have stolen the money. This is a big debate lately. What do you think about it? (Check CNN for headlines on this. They have it but I think CNNs down for some odd reason)
