That is why you get good enough to beat the people who act like that and prepare for the cheaters. It isn't exactly hard to finish cheaters off, if they rush you just have a bunch of defences and they'll kill themselves. Because if they make a quick attack force they are forgetting to make a defence most likely...

5 minute BC... uhh... they were cheating... it takes approx. 2:00 to complete one Battle Cruiser... and don't forget the buildings required for them.

I used to play online with my "friends". I always won... no matter what.

Game 1: It was Road Wars, I believe. I told him to build stuff and he was a n00b to the entire game, not just online. I told him to build up his forces and kept a close eye on him through a burrowed Zergling (never caught it, in fact... no detector units around). I had to get off in a few minutes soon, so I just sent a small army of about 6 Zerglings, 3 Hydralisks, and about 5 Ultralisks. He had maybe 5 units protecting his base... and he had only one base while I had 10...

Game 2: Same person. This time, it was on a money map. I was Protoss this time around. I started out with a lot of workers and once I could build Photon Cannons, I put them all around the barrier of my base, about 25 at the ground entrance. Nothing was going to get through. I took a Probe and built Photon Cannons in front of his base. He was so confused. He never built a transport to get around them either. I sent a shuttle with a Dark Archon on it. I got a SCV from him. I then destroyed him. Had fun that time.

Game 3: Add one person, money map. I was Zerg, one was Terran, and the other Protoss (obviously learning from the previous beatings). I told the Protoss to turn alliance on. He did. I sent a whole bunch of units in (not set to alliance) and burrowed them. As for the Terran... I almost destroyed all the defences he had because I play for fun, not for "I am better than you are!". I then destroyed both at the same time.

After that, we had a few more skirmishes, and then we decided to let some other person join in. Rule was 20 minute rush. 15 minutes later, destroys both me and my friend.

Then I did my own skirmishes. You had cheaters that took advantage of n00bs saying "Press Alt-X to see the entire map". I quit right then, knowing that these people were total losers. Then I stopped playing altogether.

I figured later on that "Why not try once more?" I do, on a Zerg Defence game. I had vultures at my disposal. I placed mines (to defend, of course) and people were complaining that I was placing mines. WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL!? They made me mad. I quit. End of story.

So far after that, the only person I played online with afterwards was a few people playing the freeware game Cube and Kyouji on Bomberman. Other than that, I never played multiplayer again. It is all thanks to people who do just exactly what you did, Raven. People like that make me sick. You should play online to have fun and enjoy the game, not play to act like the big bad boss.

I used to be able to get upgraded zerglings with andrenal glands before people got tanks...But yikes...I'm pretty sure that's cheating there. I've never heard of FIVE minute BCs.

I played a few seniors from St.Phillips and they pretty much kicked my ass. You gotta wonder what exactly they teach there. I'm just a stupid fish.
These guys were inhuman. The first 5 minutes of the game, a guy already had 6 battle cruisers blowing up all my crap while a bunch of marines, medics, firebats, and siegetanks trampled everything.

I hate playing Star Craft because of all the jerks online. Basically, one game was me vs. 3. The end of the game was ally vic if I was getting beaten back badly, hell, the agreement was ally vic no matter what. I destroyed all but 1 supply depot of the two weaker ones pretty much right off the bat. The guy who was the strongest had his armies destroyed. Looked like I was going in for the kill... "Nuclear launch detected" kills his two allies (Where I was keeping my troops) and then marches a contingent of tanks and gols into my base while I was hatching another set of troops. The bastard killed me and his allies.

Another game I played on a money map a guy tracked me down without erring at all. My allies set up a big ol' net of overlords. Went straight to my base. No searching. That is what we call a map hack. Goes to the weirdest corner of the level. With the EXACT amount of troops to wipe me out (you know the marine-zealot ratio ) and takes me out. When my friends say that he was maphacking they all magically dropped. Bastard.

When I was an actual n00b...Let me just say I joined a game called "training". It was a clan that was just trying to get their kills up, as I soon found out.

After endless bad experience with dumb ass "azn-rise-masta-k0rn" and other people that don't deserve to breath the same air I do...Well, I just quit playing all but UMS levels like defense. People are bigger idiots but 75% less cheating and bsing.

I remember the last time I was there, StarCraft was as good as Halo is here. An older cousin of mine kept bugging me about Starcraft, he would say, "No gong-bu! Sta Craftu play!". Jeeze, I thought they all moved onto playing Ragnarok instead, but I guess they like Starcraft more than ever!

Koreans have a TV channel dedicated to Starcraft, and another one dedicated to Starcraft and to Warcraft.

Jarukoth: What are you the "Don't sue people" Panda?

I love playing games when I an a newb, it's awesome when you realize people are trying to kill you to laugh at you, and you pretend to be really bad fo rthe first kill or two, and when the let their gaurd down you kill them! (FPSs)

On RTS, it is a lot easier to beat even the most advanced players. Really wierd thing is that I suck at the missions, but when I go online I am actually good and usually win when it is 1 vs 1...

Oh geez. The eternal struggle. I've have quite a few experiences with them lately...

Counterstrike: Some whiny little kids are arguing. One called the other a retard, and the other wanted him to prove it. Then he threatened to get his big brother to kick his ass. It was amusing for all of about 5 seconds, then I left the game.

Halo 2: I had no idea how much people loved to sing while playing Halo. When my friends come over to play, I don't let them have the headset. At All.

Deception: Thanks to a certain Master Chief, I am out of practice with this game, so I recently lost to people I should be annihlating. That makes me a sad panda.

Being beaten by a girl is not awful when your used to it, really.

I hadn't been accused of cheating in online games, even when playing against new people. Althought sometimes I just get fragging streaks in FPS games, such as in Counter strike. (which I find heavily overated nowdays compared to other FPS but oh well...)

What's worse than being a n00b is getting beat by a girl.
I am okay at DDR but when it comes to facing my fiance at it, she kicks my ass by a landslide!

Yeah, being a novice in any online game is tough, but with RTS games for some reason it's especially vicious. Hate. Hate.

At least they don't have to go through so much pain. It's quick.
I hate being a n00b on a different game though, but sometimes I get lucky. First time I played Unreal Tournament during a lock-in, I got over 80 frags within 20 minutes. I named myself "Mr.Baka"; it was hilarious hearing some angru classmates in the room saying , "Who the hell is Mr. Baka!?" "Hey hobag! Stop hogging the frags bitch!". The more I killed them the louder I laughed, and I was eventually discovered. "YOU made all those frags!?"

Other times, I got creamed and I faced a really nasty opponent once. He managed to use cheats anonymously with some script or code, enabling him to kill all global opponents with one button. That was not fun, so I could sypathize for the n00bies as well as laugh at them, and myself.

I hate you guys. I dealt with people who didn't already have ranks and I didn't accuse them of hacking, but pretending to be new just to pulverize an actual newbie is dumb. This is why I don't play online games.

Hey, who knows maybe I faced you a couple of years back and was one of those "n00b's"?

I was in the belief, playing a lot of campaign mode and custom levels that I was great at the game.

So then I checked out Bnet.

Basically, had my ass handed to me in minutes, and yeah, sometimes felt cheated. There was just something about people wasting me with 12 or more Carries maybe 10 minutes into the game.

But yeah, this was quite awhile ago ... it's surprising to see people are still playing this game so often.

I want Starcraft 2 !!! ...

I love n00bies on Battlenet.
I play Starcraft against them and they think I am hacking them. You don't need to have a custom map to do it.
Pretend to be a n00b and make sure the new guys with no rank join you. I say something like "This is my big brother's account, he got all this rank for me."
Usually the zergs, I do this when facing Terrans. After beating some of the others, I tell the last guy to meet me on a blank part of the map while putting all my guys there and switching the alliance on. I tell him to bring all his scvs and command centers to the point where I have my lurkers buried and my guardians hidden. He mines the minerals then I remove the alliance. The kid said, "OMG! are you hacking me? YOU SUCK! FUCK YOU YOU STUPID BITCH FAGGOT GAY FAG BITCH!". I love to do that for a good laugh.
