It's impossible for that situation to happen! Why? Because lets say you throw a boomerang that hits both Boom-Booms at the same time:
There is a part of RAM for 5 enemy ID numbers. The game will check the first id, see it's a Boom-Boom and see that it's dead, and change it into a mushroom, then when the game goes to the next ID, it'll see it's another boom-boom, but the first boom-boom it checked is now a mushroom, so the game will see that it's a mushroom and change the currently read boom-boom into a ? ball. The joy of sequential instruction execution! |

If they overlap each other and you jump on them it's possible. That's a good question actually, it's the kind of thing that avoids 20 different rereleases of hacks to fix bugs like not being able to beat a level. |

Is that even possible? It might be with a hammer, though, but not excactly on the same time. |

You can also go upside down in one of the levels in Super Mario Advance 4. It sounds like it should be a fun hack. |

Oh, and did I mention that this hack makes my eyes burn with its glory?
There is not a Boom-Boom fight on every stage in this hack like there was in Mario Advenutre. There ARE, however, stages with 2 Boom-Booms that you fight. The problem in MA with one being destroyed and grabbing a ? block while letting the other destroy is gone.
Now, when you fight 2 or more Boom-Booms, defeating one will cause it to explode and release a Mushroom, rather than the ? ball. The ? ball will finally be released when the last Boom-Boom is defeated
As for level design: the level design is almost made up of level edits. Most levels WILL be reocgnizable, but modified just enough to provide some new challenge not found in the first. So the design is mostly straight forward, but there are a few levels that require a bit of thinking to pass |

Oh no, please! Not the level design of MA... nooooo! I hate it so much, adding several ways in a level, there were too many of that! I know you wanted to add a feeling of 'more liberty' or something like that, but I really disliked it. But well, this is a personal point of view of course... |

...OK, maybe not... But it would be cool to have a sword as a powerup. Especially if it can do some sort of beam attack like in Zelda. (Maybe after charging it up for a second?)
Holy Shit - Uma Suit...DD please
Seriously DD, looks like the shit. This may be the first hack I've ever played. |

Wow...
On that panda suit, can you only stick to the ceiling or can you go up and around things to get to higher plats as well?
Like in this example...is there a way for him to go all the way left then up then over to the right of those (!) blocks?
And yea I'm gonna be playing this too when it comes out...that's for sure. |

When you do a spin attack, you continue spinning until you touch the ground. Landing on a plant or spikes will have you continue to bounce, even without holding down any buttons. Holding down A will send you into the air higher (like in SMW).
When walking upside down, you can't jump because you have to hold A to continue sticking to the ceiling. |

OMG MCKIDS RIPOFF!!!! (eh, actually not. ) I can see tons of uses for being "upside down", considering I just know two platformers from my head that utilities this (Megaman and Mckids). Sure it's not actually reverting gravity like in Megaman but... heh.

Yes yes, that's right, FIVE, count them, FIVE fireballs folks. Let's say, it was not easy at all, but I did it and you saw it here first!
Looking through this thread again, I really wonder how five fireballs will do on a real NES.
Now, unless the PAL version uses a diffrent mapper. Maybe I could buy an SMB3 cart, make my NES universal and... i'm considering doing that. |
