Make own backgrounds. I saw the SMB and SMB3 backgrounds in SMW, I don't particularly want to see them again. |

I think it would be great if you made your own. But Smb or Smb3 is fine if you dont like my opinion. |

I made this thread to see your opinions for what he should be. What I meant by "I don't want to change him." is that I don't want to rip or even make my own Mario from another game. Should I just take a background from SMB, SMB3, or make my own? |

Lord knows I could never make a good background from scratch. I have made one mainly original background (the one for Dark Cemetary) and that was somewhat based on one of the old backgrounds. The ones I'm using for my hack Golden Yoshi was nice enough to give me, which came from SMW+6, and he only gave them to me because he scrapped his work on it. |

I would hope for the game. And I doubt anyone will give you one, making a decent background from scratch is hard hard work. Or, at least, I'm not about to release any of my backgrounds, at least for now. |

SMW Mario = Dunno. Really depends on what your doing with the levels and gfx in the levels. It all has to come together. I suggest you work on the hack's levels and gfx for a bit, then decide if the regular Mario will work or if he needs to be tweaked. |

Alright, my choice is made. I will make a hack with Mario in it. Just two things:
1. Is the SMW Mario fine? Because I don't really want to change him.
2. How's this for a title: SMW: A Lost Tomorrow. I like that title.

He uses the same number of tiles, the top tiles are just offset a little from the bottom tiles. It isn't impossible either. There was a SMB2 hack a while back that had Yoshi as a playable character. It would take work, but it would be worth it I think. You couldn't just copy paste Yoshi over, you would have to redraw them, but I think it would be cool. |

Well Hidden Mario, he does have a point there. It would be exciting to have changed Mario gfx and all. As long as they dont turn glinchy and all that. But I dont think that its a good idea not to change Mario, because it somewhat can be exciting at least. |

Please don't change Mario's GFX.
They doesn't look to bad, and as mentioned, Koopa and Goomba GFX were already made and a Boo doesn't look good.
And Yoshi is nearly impossible to make, because he is bigger than Mario and uses more tiles, so you have to reduce his size and that will look ugly. |
