Sigh, ok. The so called "glitches" on the screen are not at fault of the hacker or the hack. This is how the original SMB3 did things.

SMB3 uses a method of rendering a level in a way that the tiles should be read from left to right or right to left, thus it renders the upper part of a level at the same time as rendering the lower part. Because of the limited NES hardware, the game cannot seemlessly draw tiles on the right (it can on the left because of background tile clipping mode in the PPU, if you were to turn this off, you'd see the same thing as the left side). This is why you see strange things on the right side. Sometimes you won't because the tiles that disappeared on the left happened to be the same tile or same palette as the tiles appearing on the right, so no updating is needed and things look smooth.

This is how the original SMB3 did it, even on cart. It may not have seem like it due to TV screen size clipping, but I assure you, it did happen. So these "glitches" cannot be fixed without re-writing the entire level drawing and reading engine. So really, these are not glitches, since they're intended to be that way and are not at fault of the hacker, thus, it's impossible to get a "glitch free" hack as you put it.

Show me a version of SMB3 (or several other games) that doesn't do that and I'll give you a prize. (Setting up the emulator to remove the first and last colums from the screen is cheating)

Well, judging by the screenshots... All of these are from world 1, that says a lot about the difficulty of the hack. None of it good. Also I couldn't help noticing some of the screenshots, such as #3, contain big glitches...

Since the release of Mario Adventure way back when, I wonder how many people have tried hacking SMB3? Out of those, I wonder how many hacks have actually been GOOD?

Hey I like it! Made it to level 4, then lost my last life. Pretty fun, seeing as I usually dont try out many SMB3 hacks. Maybe I should try more out.

I saw no problems with it either, of course I'm no professional. Still looks good though. I wish I had a controller of some kind to hook into my computer so I could it to play ROMs. I dont seem to be very good with my arrow keys and such
