Well... if it's based on Slackware, it's not going to support RPMs well (if at all). You can try rpm2tgz to turn it into a Slackware package and install it with pkgtools.
Note: I use Slackware 10, and never used anything before that.... so this may or may not work. |

I'm running TopoLogiLinux 4.0 (based on Slackware 9) and I need some help.
This is a new install, and I'm inexperienced with Linux, so when I go to install a .rpm file, it asks for dependencies. I know what they are, but the question is, HOW do I get these? I can't seem to find them on Google.
I know for something I need glibc but I don't know how to compile it. Anyone have it precompiled or something?
Here's my complete list of need stuff:
/bin/sh (oddly, this exists, but it doesn't seem to find it) ld-linux.so.2 libICE.so.6 libSM.so.6 libX11.so.6 libXext.so.6 libc.so.6 libdl.so.2 libm.so.6
Just so you know, I'm running KDE 3.1.
Any help would be appreciated! |
