Corruption confusing? Well maybe for most people but I seem to be okay with it.

I could see where a program like that would have it's uses. Not too many of them, cuz if there were a lot of obvious patterns in a rom, that's just screaming for a compression algorithm.

I can't recall ever hearing about such a program... It sounds interesting. Go ahead and release it. There's nothing to lose.

Hello. I've been trying to hack a NES rom from scratch, diving back into corruption to do so... however, it was really confusing me. So I've made a simple, rough program to aid in it. I had to make my own program because I didn't find any others that did it, though I may not have been looking for long enough.

Anyways, I got thinking about how maybe I could release it. I just wanted to know if it's practical to put in the extra work to make it user-friendly and to put in more stuff. I don't want to put out a copy of another program.

My program will search a given range of a file for a specific byte (Or list of bytes, if I add that)), and with every instace it'll record the location and spacing since the last instance. It will also provide you with the surrounding bytes to a depth of two. Basicly, it's purpose is to help you find patterns.

Is there another program made for this purpose? Would people find this useful at all?
